Assuming the steelers beat the Browns week 17 it would not be a tie because they would have the better record.

Oh my mistake, I thought our records would be the same but we would have the tiebreaker over them.

Would only be true if Cincy took care of business, which of course  they didn't, such a useless team I've had to live next to the last 15 years.

If we want any shot we HAVE to win next week. With a loss there's a strong chance that we're eliminated from WC contention (the division would be 100% gone as PIT would clinch).

Yeah the bengals can never be trusted to do anything correctly.

I don't think either the Ravens nor Steelers can have 100% confidence entering this game because while the Steelers are on a 5 game win streak they are hardly playing lights out other than a near 300 yard game from Bell. However the Ravens have completely owned the Steelers over the last 10 meeting so they do have that going for them.

Just like any other Ravens Steelers game it's gonna be ugly but if the Ravens pull it out they can't lose to the Bengals. I just typed I can't see this team losing to the Bengals but had to erase it because I could easily see this team putting so much into beating the Steelers that they have a let down vs the Bengals like they seemingly did today vs the Eagles.

At this point I say yes the Ravens make the playoffs because I think they have enough high level guys like SSS, Yanda, Suggs, Weddle etc to will this team past the Bengals as long as they take care of business Xmas night.

No.

Even if we beat the steelers. I see us losing to the bengals.

Bengals could be the important game of the season because l do see us beating Pittsburgh.

I just do not see us beating Pitt in their house. I hate to say this but they are the best in our division. We should be the best but we are just a fragile team and are always one injury from collapse. Not sure how other teams recover so well but we just feel every injury on every side of the ball. Although i was so surprised how well our corners did with out Jimmy, Tavon is the real deal huh. Small but plays the ball very well.

No... And no matter if the steelers win they are a disgrace to the division as well...

They really don't beat a team... The teams they play beat themselves...

The afc north is a complete joke...

Whoever wins is a one a done....

==============================

will marvin  lewis ever be fired as the head coach of the bengals...

I men how long and why do they put up with him as a head coach...

That is my fear with Harbaugh... Hopefully we aren't the second coming

of the bengals...in this type matter.

Well... I like our chances. Winning out is the route we most likely have to take, but we could get lucky if we drop 1 of the last 2. I say Yes, we make the playoffs, but that could easily change.

Ravens beat Steelers:

1. Ravens win division by beating Bengals

2. Ravens win division with a Steelers loss to the Browns

3. With A Ravens loss to the Bengals and a Steelers win over the Browns, the Ravens would clinch the last wild card spot with a Dolphins loss to the Bills AND Patriots, and a Broncos loss to the Chiefs OR Raiders.

Ravens lose to Steelers:

1. Ravens beat Bengals, Dolphins lose to Bills AND Patriots, and the Broncos lose to the Chiefs OR Raiders. This would earn us a wild card spot.

Note: A Titans or Texans loss would be required for the Ravens to clinch the 6 seed, but since they play each other, this is virtually guaranteed.

As I see it now, no. We have no real choice but to win out, and no-one can feel comfortable on a 2 game away stretch against the two teams that play us the hardest. We'll likely drop the Pittsburgh game in my opinion. We can handle Cincybut there won't be much point by then.

Prediction- The Ravens use a 3-4th rounder on a QB and begin the grooming process. With the last couple QB's coming out of these drafts we should invest a couple midrounders over the next few years to give a shot. In a few years, we will be having to make some tough decisions with Flacco. If he can't turn things around with a good steady OC, he'll be putting on a new uniform by 2019.

The Ravens are eliminated from the playoffs with a loss and a Dolphins win.

Lets hope that doesn't happen. Let's take care of Pittsburgh... please...somehow. lol

Right now the Bills game is the only one the Dolphins can win because they are not beating NE.  BB does not like resting people so he will crush them into the dirt.

AFC North games are rarely blowouts, so it'll be messy and ugly and the team is going to need to stay resilient to pull out some wins.

The Steelers Five game win streak isn't that impressive. Browns. Colts without Luck, Giants with "bad Eli", Bills with that snow disaster, and Bengals without AJ Green. None of the wins were even that spectacular. The Steelers aren't a great team and past-prime Fat Ben made a lot of dumb mistakes the past couple games Ive seen. Theyre a beatable team. Even without Jimmy Smith, I think there's a shot.

Bengals are tough to gauge at this point. Is AJ Green going to be back? Is Marvin Lewis going to get fired? Is Vontaze Burfict going to get suspended indefinitely for spearing a ref next week? All valid questions. But that team is still 5-8-1 and their OL sucks. Even then, it's going to be a tough game, but definitely winnable.

So maybe. Maybe not. Its been a better season to watch than last season nonetheless.

Maybe Cincy can do us a solid and lose on purpose to keep Pittsburgh out. I mean they hate Pittsburgh more than us and can't beat them on the field so maybe beat them by helping us. Can't hurt to ask right?

Maybe. If Lewis can get back on the field instead of Ducasse, and Jimmy can play, and somehow Perriman can get open more than once a game to take the pressure off Wallace. Add in Marty gaining a bit more knowledge about the players he has and uses their strengths and Pees suddenly being able to call more than 1 quarter of the game.

Pittsburgh hosts the Ravens, then go home to play the winless Browns. Our game in the steel city will be rough, like as in New England. Then we have to travel to Cincy the last week. Always tough playing there. We'll lose to the Steelers and probably the Bengals too. The eagles almost won vs the Ravens at home today. They are like 1-7 in away games this year.

My answer is steadfast no. We won;t even sniff the playoffs.

I'd have to take that as a no.

Well really all are possible and even likely. Except Pees being able to call more than a quarter. Quite possibly the rest could cancel out his ineptitude. So again still a maybe. Lol

Every playoff team is flawed, we just have a front row seat to the flaws the Ravens have. Yes the Ravens are a playoff ready team because they play ugly, physical rind it out games and that's usually what Playoff football looks like. Is this team Super Bowl ready? That's another story.

However if you look at all 9 teams who could possibly be in the playoffs, who's playing lights out? Win the next 2 games which are both winnable and you possibly have the Dolphins coming back to M&T Bank. Not saying that game will turn out the same as before but do they really strike fear in anyone? Then you're looking at a Divisional Playoff game in perfect weather conditions in Oakland vs a young team playing in their first playoff game in 14 years. Honestly other than having a really good oline what about the Raiders strikes fear? Win that game and you're right back in Foxboro for the AFCCG game or even better somebody knocks them off and that game is played in Baltimore.

What's the likelihood of all this happening? Who knows, the point is the Ravens are capable of being both the Steelers and Bengals to win the Division and come playoff time they are good enough to beat any team they'll face in the wildcard and the divisional round. I think the only question for this team is will they play well enough to beat those teams and can they play well enough in Foxboro to win.

Outside of personnel, this season feels just like 13' in the way it is playing out. We start off rough with ups and downs then hit a nice little streak (winning 5/6 games)then we stumble at the finish line. As I remember, we lost to NE and Cincy in blow outs In our final stretch.

I have the same guy feeling. It is not that I don't have hope I'm just being pragmatic. Steelers are on a streak and we've had their number for a while now. At some point we are bound to lose since the last time we did it was in Pitt November of 14'. The problem with injuries is out coaches are so nearsighted that they never anticipate problems or how to adjust during the game and give the same excuses.
