Week 15: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly Comment/Vent/Rant Eagles Version!

347 posts in this topic

Marty is not the answer for the OC. He is known for having a rush-heavy offense and yet suddenly, the pass-run ration is worse than it was when trestman was here. And it's not like the run game is not working. It's not amazing, but it does work.

For some reason, i think the problem might be Harbaugh because how many OC's have gone through now? Why do they all keep failing(except kubiak)?

I guess that's a rhetorical question, since I'm sure you know the answer - clueless play caller.

Yep, completely rhetorical.  Just doesn't make any sense.  It seems we just have some odd commitment to getting Flacco to 4K yards or something.

Harbaugh just took responsibility for the worst play call ever on Flacco's INT.  LOL!

Noticed how he needed water after pushing accountability through his throat?  Throat was like "what?  What is THIS!?!?  This isn't normal"  *Jokes*  I still like Harbs though.

This team plain sucks. I don't have much hope of ravens making the playoffs if they keep playing like this.

#1 defense lol. This defense was finally exposed for everyone to see. Was #1 because we played bad teams this year..,

Joe keeps throwing boneheaded picks and people still defend him to death.

We don't win if Flacco doesn't throw an INT. There is some crazy stat for that.

Joe is sooooooo lucky we somehow won that. Because he is the main reason that this was a close game instead of a blowout.

Also, the defense shows once again that they're a paper tiger. Extremely unclutch.

It was a boneheaded INT and play call at that point in the game. However, it was deep in Eagles' terroritory. No different than a punt. Not the offense's fault the defense couldn't get off the field today.

Absolutely...but the only TDs they scored were off Flacco turnovers.

They scored one TD off of a TO, the fumble. They drove down the field for the second one.And if we expect the offense to drive down and score from inside their 10, then it is not unresonable to expect the defense to perform with the opposing offense inside our 10.

This isn't a good team. No way we should be running 3 straight downs without gaining a yard. Sorry Marty, that was conservative. Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy conservative.

The Eagles were handing off to Mathews 90% of the plays and the defense still couldn't get themselves off the field. This is not a top defense. It is an illusion.

Run defense was atrocious, but that int cost us 3.  It would've essentially given us the win.

I'm still trying to figure out why they played so poorly and hoping no team follows their lead.

The defense is absolutely overrated. Just because the offense is trash doesn't mean the defense is great. That #1 ranking is a mirage.

Repeat after me ," we scored 27 points !"

Would have been at least 30 if we didn't throw a dumb pass .

Good: Wright and Mosely with clutch deflections late.  Tavon steadily improving.  Seemed like the defensive front and secondary traded places today when it came to dependability.

Bad: Penalties in the second half.  I dunno what it is that has us fall apart after the first half.

Ugly: Watching Philly trying to spoil us to the very last second.

i agree, its all on the coaches for int in endzone, even harb said he should've "vetoed it" and ur like what the heck, these type of decision is what gonna get harb fired, his decisions like this cost the team games.

If we supposedly were "cranky" coming into this game, we better get downright fighting mad against the Steelers, because cranky really is not working all that well.

What I like most about West and Dixon. They're falling forward, always fight for extra yards and don't go down on first contact.

West still only had 17 carries. Stanley continues to improve.

What do you think: does Lewis replace Ducasse next week? Is he capable of playing RG?

For me, the most disturbing outcome of this game was that our D-line got absolutely owned for the 2nd game in a row. In slightly different way but they got exposed big time last week and today.

again guys, its all on the coaches, they keep trying to make this team a thrown team when we are not, we thrive with the running game. again they keep getting away from the run game on both those TOs, we could've establish the run game and kept running it down their throat, but they keep calling plays to lose games. it's all on the coaches u know the limitation of ur QB so don't try to make them the greatest show on turf, when we r not.

I don't know but next week is it. They'd better come with better on all sides of the ball than they showed today. I know the INT took 3 off the board, but that wouldn't have put the game out of reach. Especially not with how the defense played today. Eagles had to drive the field. That's on the defense.

I remember an Oakland game where the offense put up over 30 & everyone still said it was the offense's fault we lost. That's how it goes around here.

i honestly don't see us making the playoffs, we're too inconsistent on both sides of the ball + horrendous offensive playcalling.

True about the first part.

For the second, I don't think people put it on the offense, but said they had a chance to seal it and it didn't.  No one excused the defense for that game.

Sadly , we could beat the Steelers and lose to Cincy and not get in . That would be awful .

People were whining about the offense on the game thread the entire game !

they time of possessed us 36 minutes to 23 and they outscored us by 10 late. Our D was tired and they made the fatal mistake of rollin the dice on the extra point.  call harball a dunce and he prolly is but their coach is worse

Yup.  I could see Cinci coming out strong, especially if they know they can keep us out the playoffs. This team hasn't show the ability to get up for games.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about in 15 and they sucked the first half, I think.  I'm pretty sure both times we've played them recently went exactly the same way.  Could be wrong though.

There was a complete defensive breakdown this game . The Eagles ran on us at will . 8-12 yards at a time . We even knew they were gonna run and could not stop them ! That's bad .

The D better get it together .

I thought the offense played pretty well but whoever called that inside slant pass play should be fired !

And do you know why the top was in their favor and the D was tired? Because the Eagles kept running all over us every single drive. D was fresh in the beginning of almost all drives and got exhausted because they couldn't stop the run for the life of them.

yah, with overtime there is no sudden death each side gets a chance all the more reason why their coach had a monumental brain fart with our D so tired and so far back on their heels.  we got lucky but may have been lookin pass this one. we want pitsberg. if harball made that decision we'd drum him out of town and rightfuly so
