The club level seat entrance is blocked off by two sets of doors.  Seems like it would be a nice feature to remove the outer most doors at top of escalators so doors actually into the club level are still there for ticket check BUT this would then allow the upper deck fans to take escalators 1/2 to the top.  If not building or built into the stadium an actual upper deck escalator like Phila or other stadiums this would be a nice addition for the fans who judging from the seating layout are buyers of 1/3 the tickets in support of the ravens.

I agree we need escalators to upper level just like Oriole Park has two escalators from warehouse entrance and the other one by left field entrance.

That's why Phase I of renovations will deal with ribbon boards on the Upper Level and new larger Ravensvision video boards at both ends of the stadium.  Its easier putting them in.   Probably the last phase will be how to put in upper level escalators, which will need some engineering work.

The story I heard on why M&T Bank Stadium didn't have upper level escalators when it opened was that Art Modell had problems in Cleveland Municipal Stadium maintainining them.   But then again the place was so run down, especially with the plumbing that they had porta potties on the concourse in most parts.

They work because they are split between two levels and someone holds back traffic between them for safety.
