[News] Eisenberg: Losing To New England Made Ravens Very Cranky

43 posts in this topic

The Ravens expected to upset the AFC's top-seeded team, but didn't measure up. However, a win against the Philadelphia Eagles will put them right back where they expected to be, and that would improve everyone's mood.

I just hope we don't end up putting the playoffs in the "rear view". Just want to see is improvement from 2012. Why was the Kubiak hear so different?

If Jimmy Smith does not play against steelers or CIncy, we have no chance

IMO your are way over rating the performance of Jimmy Smith and I would offer to you the PFF ratings on him as my rational. He is no better than a league average performer and on most game days he does not even reach average grades for CB's ....

because Kubiak was the best OC we've had since then.

It sounds like after a 5-11 season and a tough NE loss, set up by stupid coaching decisions in several early games this year that cost games, and the pressure of having to win out is causing our coaches to be crazy.

Listening to Rosburg I thought it was really bizaare, strange, for what he said about Hester when no one caused Hester to refuse to field punts causing serious lost yards, no one forced his constant injuries this season, no one made him drop punts that hit his hands. It's just weird. Hester couldn't do it anymore, he didn't have what he once had. That happens, that's why people retire. But it wasn't his returns as he had some nice ones, it was the overly abundant ones he didn't return or muffed that cost him. Rosburgs response to releasing him was a little uncomfortable.

Marty in his presser didn't sound like he had one coherent thought through the whole thing. Rambling, talking both sides of one argument, twisting information and stories as to make it difficult to even garner any sense from it. Just his ramble about how good they have been for the most part in the 2 minute drill (uh-yeah) or when he rambled about why no runs, he didn't seem to know other than they were on his play sheet but somewhere between there, his mouth the microphone and Joes ear it just came out pass. We planned it I just don't know how I didn't call a run play IN COVER 2 all day. Opportunity didn't present itself?????? C'mon man. What's more frustrating, that he does it, or he thinks we are so stupid like there was something the Patriots did, that was so specific to stopping the run, he couldn't call a run play. Oh, except the safety he ran one, the one to the loaded side and not behind Yanda and Stanley, his best linemen.

That was a lot of respect Rosberg sent Hester's way and surely enough they may not have blocked well enough for him at times, but nobody was responsible for the bone-headed decision making of Hester on certain plays and he is ultimately responsible for ball security as well. The guy just didn't have it anymore. It was worth a shot and he showed that he still has a little bit of juice left, but not as electrifying as it was in the past to make up for some other things you might excuse while he's getting you points on special teams.

Hopefully the return of Camp will make us all forget about it.

The combination of stupid penalties at inopportune times and lack of commitment to the running game has cost us at least two, maybe three games this year. Kind of hard to make the play-offs, much less win in the post season, beating your own self to death.

I think Hue did a good job when he was here. He might have been very good for us had the Colts not plucked him away.

Seriously.  Obj has 6 yards in the first half, he goes down and obj goes off.  He has shut down or allowed very few yards to other teams wideouts.  You see how this team is with him and without him or maybe you don't,

Nothing. That's his golden boy.

Campanaro has been hurt most of his short career so I doubt he's reached "Golden boy" status and Harbs has no love lost for anyone who fumbles the ball and I mean no one! You fumble and the best thing that could happen to you on this team is to warm the bench for a game or two. Fumble again and you'll be looking for another team to play on. Harbs don't play when it comes to fumbling. Now if he just took that attitude for other things.

Looking at the weather forecast, fumbles are a high probability.

Gives him a second chance. If that doesn't work, Houston, we have a problem and you're getting called up from the PS, Stephen.

Who says he doesnt have that attitude? You're selling Harbaugh short I think. Go Ravens.

Yes, they kept competing and turned a rout into a close game by taking advantage of several New England mistakes, but no one in the Ravens’ locker room was fooled. They didn’t really measure up against a serious Super Bowl contender. That kind of disappointment tends to sour your mood.

^ Look!  I've been pissed off all week long about the Ravens piss poor performance last Monday night in prime time no less.  And although the score was close...I wasn't "fooled" by that either.  The offense reverted back to being trash!  The defense was soft as milk toast and the special teams unit was a pure embarrassment.  I need the Ravens to get out there and get this "W" against the Eagles so that I can get this bad taste out of my mouth.

GO RAVENS!!

Cause Kubiak understood the importance of committing to the run game. the run game was emphasized in practice and on the field. Big play came out of play action and the bootleg. Neither Harbs, Marty, or Trestman understand that or are capable of scheming it effectively.

More of the same old same old from Pees. Brady controlled every min of that game and destroyed our number "1" ranked D.

Only now are the players cranky... not after the loss to a 1-4 jets team? It's clear that we're not good enough to play and win against a top ranked team. This whole season has been a struggle even when it shouldn't have been vs some bottom end teams.
I don't see much improvement from last season. I think we will win Sunday and then get spanked by the Steelers as they are wanting revenge. If only this O line could show some consistency from week to week.
