Jeff Fisher wants to play the Rams!

8 posts in this topic

I'm not making this up, it is a direct quote from him and you can read the article yourself.

"I want a chance to play the Rams." Jeff Fisher

So this called to mind a certain memory I had on a certain late night comedy show, during a certain skit, in which a certain team from a certain town was coached by a certain team.......Da Bears! During one such skit the gang discussed Mike Ditka and what the results of a game would be if Mike Ditka took on the New York Giants. Then they went on to ask about a potential team of "mini Ditkas." So either Jeff Fisher is channeling some inner SNL or....

He can pick up a copy of Madden NFL 17, remain head coach of the Rams and then move them to LA in franchise mode. Possibly he can become the head coach of whatever other team he wants to and play the Rams as many times as he wants to. Maybe he will go in and edit all of the Rams players to 0 OVR ratings so he can really stick it to them?

Of course I am not silly enough to take that quote literally. He obviously wants a chance to coach against his old team and lose to them so he can break the tie for most career losses by a head coach.

I would be surprised if another NFL team hires him. Only way he becomes a head coach again will be if a college team hires him.

Some team will be desperate enough. The people at a certain other website think Fisher has too many inside connections not only in the NFL but in the media as well and that's why he got the fancy interview and all and why they all but guarantee he will be coaching again in the very near future. There are some teams out there that would sell their souls to be 7-9.

You must really like picking between 10 and 18 in the draft.

Doesn't matter. It proves John Harbaugh cant beat good teams without great players. Like Ed Reed and Ray Lewis for example. We need coaches who knows the game and fix a mediocre team.

Yeah cause those teams with sucky players just keep winning and winning.

Not really relevant to the thread (not sure where else to put this), but today I learnt Jeff Fisher was a DB on the 1985 Bears. Mind = blown.
