Steve Smith Tirade at practice

This is why I like Smith, and why I liked TO. At the end of the day they want to win. It's all football, nothing else. Get him the ball where he needs it and watch things happen.

Yeah, well I love Steve! I had no use for the prima donna TO. Let's face it. All wideouts are divas. I would attribute Steve's outburst to frustration and his passion. He was probably taking a self-imposed timeout so he didn't lose his composure any further. His position is a little different than most of the other team members. What are the Ravens going to do? Fire him? I'm sure he'll use this to stir up the competitive juices in Joe, the team and himself so I'm not too worried about it. That being said, improperly channeled anger can lead to divisiveness and affect team synergy. Like somebody else has already said, we have no idea what triggered it. Heaven knows we have seen him get a little fiery on the field of competition before, haven't we? The best thing he can do and will do is to take out his frustration on the Eagles but it will be up to Joe to get him the ball early and often.

You almost have to wake up on the wrong the side of bed every morning this week. Pissed off at the way we played Monday night and carry that into Sunday. Lay it all out there against the Eagles. You can’t be afraid about it. You can’t be afraid to make the play. MAKE THE PLAY! That’s my mindset, and that’s what I look for from my teammates and coaches.

Interesting that's he's saying he's looking for a certain mindset from the coaches, not just calling out his teammates but coaches too

Whole team needs to be pissed off with the fact that we can't consistently score points or adjust on offense. Only reason the NE game was close was 2 turnovers. How often does that happen? It was obvious that NE was playing zone and taking away underneath. Do we not have plays to bust zone coverage?

Teams are going to continue to make us dink and dunk down the field if we can't beat zone. They just wait for us to make a mistake. We can't put 10-15 play drives together without drops, misfires, penalties, etc.

No, and we won't until we get a legit OC that is good enough to get the job done, but just bad enough to not be offered a HC job after his first year, lol.

Flacco had 324 yards 2 TDs 1 INT. He was moving the ball down the field. It was the defense that gave up a huge play then couldnt get off the field when blount was getting the ball yet people blame Joe?

Defense and special teams lost this game.

Overall though we played one of the best teams in the league and made it competitive when it should have been a blow out.

Not really!  They didn't have a single TD drive greater than 20 yards.  Two TDs came by ST miscues by the Pats inside their own 20 yard line.

The other 280 yards had to take them somewhere down the field.

May seem simplistic, but for me Hester's brain fart and the subsequent safety is what did the Ravens in. It just robbed the team of any momentum and rhythm they had at the beginning of the game. They never really recovered on either side of the ball.

good job joe wacko

Can't believe this bum is wasting SSS's final season

I guess Ray Lewis was right.. Joe has no drive nor passion

Joe has plenty of passion when his payday is on the line. Now he looks content to be mediocre. Hopefully he's thinking about what he can do better next year when he's sitting alone on the bench after a three and out.

I disagree. That boneheaded play by Hester didn't help, but but after that the Ravens had a opportunity to take a 7-2 lead and stop that momentum of the Pats before it snow balled but Flacco missed Wallace for what should have been a easy TD. That's directly on Joe. The struggles of the entire offense isn't squarely on his shoulders but as the franchise QB and a guy that we all know is capable of being lights out, you have to make the plays that are there to be made and keep your team in the game.

eh, sure that didn't help, but you could point to numerous missed opportunities like that along the way..... Wallace drops, gaffs, Perriman not even looking for a ball thrown his way on a crucial play, etc.. For me the safety just seemed to take the air out of the team at a point where there they kinda had the pats stumped andhad the momentum. Old Mo can be a powerful dude!   lol

Oh no doubt about that. I think that moment came on the blocked FG. That's when I kind of hung my head like here we go. Was that Joe's fault? No but if Joe could have connects on that TD it settles things down is all im saying.
