2016 Week 15 Other Games Discussion

157 posts in this topic

Welcome to Week 15! The playoff picture can become much clearer this weekend as several teams have clinching scenarios. What will Week 15 bring us besides a Jeff Fisher less Rams? Will any other coaches lose their job at the end of this week?

Rams @ Seahawks: It's a new era in Rams history, a era without Jeff Fisher. While the Rams are big name hunting for a new coach, they have a game against the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks lost earlier to the Rams but look to beat them for the first time in Seattle since 2014. Will a coaching change provide the spark they need or are they just helping the Titans get a higher draft pick? Seahawks can clinch NFC West with a win or Cardinals loss.

Dolphins @ Jets: A Saturday Night special edition of TNF. The Dolphins head to the Meadowlands to keep their playoff hopes alive. Sitting in a three way tie with the Steelers and Broncos, the Dolphins need a win by the division rival Patriots over the Broncos to claim sole possession of the sixth seed. Jeff Fisher was fired this week, have to wonder if Todd Bowles has a future in NY following this season.

Packers @ Bears: Unlike most in the media who are ready to give the NFC North to the Packers, the Packers can no longer win the NFC North if the Bears pull off the upset. It seems Matt Barkley has gotten the Bears on the right track but is he the Bears franchise QB? Facing an improved Packers defense, this will be Barkley's toughest challenge since taking over.

Jaguars @ Texans: With a 4-0 division record, the Texans are inching closer to back to back AFC South titles. They can move to 5-0 with a win over the 2-11 Jaguars. Will the Jaguars fight for Gus Bradley's job and provide a upset that could shake up the playoff picture?

Browns @ Bills: The March to 0-16 continues in Buffalo as the Bills look to rebound against the Browns who have now gone one whole year since their last win. In which... Johnny Party Ball was their QB. Reports of Rex Ryan's firing were premature, but would a loss to a 0-13 team be enough to fire Rex with two weeks left?

Titans @ Chiefs: The Titans are trying to take the AFC South from the Texans and are looking to make week 17 mean something. They pulled off the upset against the Broncos last week, now they look to do the same to the Chiefs. If the Titans can pull off the upset, they will keep the division tied up after week 15. Chiefs meanwhile can clinch a playoff spot with a win, Dolphins loss and other scenarios.

Lions @ Giants: While the Giants got the season sweep of the Cowboys, the Lions look to defeat the Giants, hope for a Packers loss and can win the NFC North. Will the magic that has carried the Lions to the top of the division continue or will it run out at the worst time possible? The Giants look to clinch a playoff spot with a win.

Colts @ Vikings: The Vikings look to get back into the playoff picture with a win over the struggling Colts. The Colts potentially lost all hope of the playoffs by getting swept by the Texans, and may be playing for pride and possibily Chuck Pagano and Ryan Grigson's job.

Steelers @ Bengals: I'm just hoping AJ Green plays, as it seems the Bengals are gaining momentum toward next year and spoiling the Steelers chances of remaining a game ahead of us will be their Christmas joy. Steelers are looking to lock up the AFC North next week and gain momentum by beating their other divisional rival, the Bengals who also may be fighting for Marvin Lewis' job.

Saints @ Cardinals: While both franchises have fallen quite far, this is a game that has playoff implications. A Arizona loss gives Seattle the NFC West while both look to gain momentum toward next year. Will Carson Palmer still be a Cardinal next year at this time, will Drew Brees and Sean Payton still be in New Orleans?

49ers @ Falcons: Last year the 49ers beat the Falcons, and look to do the same again on Sunday. With Atlanta not only fighting for the playoffs but the division title, a upset will be huge. The 49ers are close to locking up a top 5 pick in next year's draft and the Falcons look to stay tied atop the NFC South with the Bucs.

Patriots @ Broncos: While Brady vs Osweiler doesn't have the same catchy tune as Brady vs Manning, the Broncos are now finding themselves out of the playoff picture. They need Oswiler to step up and beat the Patriots like he did last year to not fall behind the Steelers and Dolphins. Will the Patriots continue their path toward 14-2 and another AFC East Title or will Denver pull off the uspet?

Raiders @ Chargers: The Raiders can clinch a playoff spot this weekend with a win over the Chargers. The Chargers are banged up... and seemingly can not shake off the injury bug. The Raiders should clinch a playoff spot and look to find a way to capture the AFC West Title.

Buccaneers @ Cowboys: Bucs shut out Drew Brees and did the same to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. Have to wonder if the Bucs defense will shut out the Cowboys offense as well? Dallas can clinch the NFC East and a first round bye with a win and Giants loss. The rise of the Bucs and Winston's growth is a great story of the 2016 season but will a playoff spot or divisional title be awaiting the Bucs under their tree this season?

Panthers @ Redskins: After last week, the Redskins look to bounce back and fight back to get into the playoff picture. They look to do against a Carolina team who will see Josh Norman for the first time this season. Can the Panthers offense score against their old teammate or will the Redskins rebound and remain in the Wild Card Hunt?

Let's go J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!  Hopefully Moore looks like a backup and the Jets somehow pull out this game.  I know we control our own destiny, but it would be nice if the Dolphins and Broncos stumble and give us an alternate path if we drop a game.

Wow!  This one pains me because I am forced to root for my MOST hated team, the P@%$ (that means this will probably be the one they lose)  Need Broncos to drop 2 of 3 (and same with Dolphins) to be able to sneak in as wildcard at 9-7 if we were to drop one.  I know the Broncos have the Chiefs and Raiders after this one, but I am not counting on them to lose BOTH, so I have to root for the P@%$...strike that...root AGAINST the Broncos :)  LOSE BRONCOS LOSE!

Very happy to have floyd on the team, needed some reinforcements. As for hester, I doubt we sign him unless we let go of fumble jones and replace him for KR and PR.

The question is: can the Bengals be useful for a chance?

Nope, especially not against their bogey side.

Knowing your guys luck, Floyd will turn around and be productive for you. Gotta say though, none of the other teams must have put in a claim for him because if he made it to the Patriots, crazy.

Hopefully, need some more cover for our always injured wrs and also no gronk and bennetts hobbling. But they amount we pay for him is actually way more than I thought he'd get paid.

Yeah never rely on an ohio NFL team for anything other than disappointment lol. I kinda want the browns to win a game because I prefer the 08 lions being the laughing stock of nfl history. Who would ever want to be a browns fan.

It was smart for them to pick him up. He'll help through the playoffs and next year if they don't resign him, they'll get a compensatory pick for him.

Here's a weird stat, the top receiver of the Rams, Britt, actually has more yards and just as many touchdowns as the top receivers on the Seahwaks. Despite the Rams offense being horrible, Kenny Britt is having a great season.

Seahawks up 10-0... alright that's game. Just end it now, seriously after whatever they want to call that fake punt just give them their loss now.

Ravens control their own destiny.  Would be nice if they kept it that way and just won.  All that other stuff doesn't matter as long as they handle business.

Needs 28 more yards to get 1,000 yards and be the first Rams WR to reach that feat since Torry Holt in 2007.

I get it, we play down to our opponent all the time but how is it the Seahawks look so good against everybody else but struggle so mightly against a bad Rams team?
