Well i guess Camp kind of said "take that doubters" after yesterday's performance. I know I won't be totally sold till I see this weeks injury report.

Camp is a waste of a team slot. I hate to pit it that way but he will never be a player who can play every week. He is a "broken" project and by that i mean he is hurt more than healthy. Other guys could use the touchs and time on the field who can consistently play and benefit the team. He looks like he could have been as welker type of impact guy but he is never around long enough to see and we have already had our share of starters on the sidelines the last 3 to 4 years.

How did he look fielding punts? I didn't see the game and only saw the end around scamper on offense..

Was he on any KR duty or was it just Chris Moore?

He had a nice run

I remember him fair catching a punt

Moore looked lost to me out there as he ran right into contact instead of hitting a hole

He actually fair caught a ball so that's improvement enough already.

I am pretty sure I heard the crowd cheer when that happened.

Lol it sure is. I can understand Hester losing some of his explosiveness but what I can't for the life of me figure out is why a veteran of his caliber looked so indecisive and had so much trouble just fielding a punt? He looked like a rookie out there...injuries don't explain that. Rosberg can take the blame all he wants but it didn't have anything to do with coaching or blocking either. He simply looked nervous every single time he caught the ball. Just strange.

I wish a certain member was still posting, I would love to see him explode with excitement at this point.  "best slot receiver in the NFL" lol

lol I did not say all that. All I know is that for US he is a pretty good player once he finds himself on the field. First game back to have a run like that? Who knows how good he could really be for us, I just hope that the injuries are behind him. If Camp can play and come up with plays like that and like he has in the very small sample size, then he could be very instrumental during the period where Steve Smith retires.

Yea I agree, if he stays healthy I definitely think he can put up numbers for us and be an important part of this offense.  but theres that word....IF

He wasn't taking up a roster spot until last week, and then he took Hester's spot after Devin was released. How is that a "waste of a team slot"? Sorry, that doesn't make any sense.

Yea, and even with the draft, would anyone on this entire forum be confident in taking an WR in the entire draft? Most likely not.  Maybe we will take some long snapper and try to convert him or something....

Im just glad the punt returns aren't killing us like they were with Hester. I'm happy with the Camp situation though. The team can see what they have in him this season and bring him back to compete for a spot again next year with only a 7th Round tender if they want. Its quality management by the FO considering that both SSS and Aiken might be gone.
