[News] Who's Practicing, Who's Not vs. Philadelphia Eagles

There are some comments here that the Cardinals have released Michael Floyd. If that is true, I think that the Ravens absolutely should consider giving up one of the DB's for a space for Michael if they can work out a deal. Elam, Huff, lewis-Harris all are expendable for the rest of the season.

Reports are that Floyd was released because of a DUI. If that's the case, the Ravens won't touch him.

Get well soon Jimmy! The Ravens Offense broke through the ice but it came too late but I see good things coming out of our squad for the remainder of the season! Instead of complaining roll up your sleeves and get ready to rock the season not over! LETS GO!

Smith is about to make his annual visit to the IR. They just have not announed it yet. Gilmore might be good if he could stay healthylike a lot of the team.

"Next Man Up" is a nice saying but it does Nothing for the Talent Drop off without Jimmy Smith on the Field. The emergence of Darren Waller? 8 catches is not an emergence, Crockett Gilmore is needed.

It's not a comment that Michael Floyd was released, it's a fact. We don't need him. We have better talents. Again I believe that our problem on offense is not talent but leadership and scheme

They aren't getting enough from the WRs, might have to run 3 TE sets. Just to have a presence on the field, and get first downs.

Yea. Seems like they don't practice enough together. That safety... Lol.

If Smith can't go against the Squealers we are in big trouble.

If he can't go in any of the last 3 games we're in trouble. The talent drop off is super noticable when opposing QBs complete 75% of their passes when he's not on the field.

Think the Ravens should give Floyd a look see? Whoever takes a flyer on him has got to get him into an AA program, pronto. Nowadays his problem is looked upon as a disease but he has to be the one to "grab the Bull by the horns", if you will. The clock is ticking on him and he'll be lucky to get another chance. What a shame such a gifted athlete could throw away a career that 99.5% of the worlds population can only dream about. This poster wishes him all the best in fighting this disease but, once again, only he can make the commitment to control it.

couldn't agree more with this. we have capable receivers but we do nothing to adjust to how the defense is playing

it annoys me that whoever the patriots have or don't have they seem to adjust and be fine. we lose one player and the defense crumbles. doesn't make sense. almost like the coaches don't or can't adjust. it makes no sense to me

Good to hear that Alex and Crockett are working their way back. The real dilemma is getting Jimmy back. Maybe they should take him to 34th street. We need a miracle.

Sorry to say but I think we are in trouble regardless. We have three really tough games to win and I just don't see the Ravens ability to do that. I will support their efforts. Go Ravens.

That is correct. They are now on the "holier than thou," "one strike, you're out," "judge, jury executioner," PC correct bandwagon, since the Rice debacle Any slip up now, and your cast aside like an old newspaper. Their secondary stinks, but they jettison their best DB, Hill, for whatever. Had they had this attitude back in 2000, and up to the Rice episode, they'd have no R.Lewis, J. Lewis, McAllister, Suggs, etc., etc., etc. And probably no championships.

Maybe, but remember in the middle of the Rice thing they grabbed Jernigan who fell because of a dilute urine at the combine, I think they would have taken Tunsil, even with his baggage, had that last video not shown up during the draft. I think they are getting flexible. Not saying they will sign this guy, but Harbs has been a second chance guy. Will HIll came in the middle of the Rice thing after a suspension and had he not messed up again, we would have a killer secondary. I think the chains of the Ray Rice saga are slowly but surely starting to slide off and the front office (if they want to get to the playoffs) might bend a little bit more.

That safety was a good play by the Patriots, after a poor play by Hester. Yes, the offense needs to not get blown up there, but sometimes you just need to give the credit where it is due. I don't put that safety on them as much as I give it to the Pats.

I love Jimmy Smith but man...he is always hurt! I know he plan on getting hurt but he needs to get healthy and STAY healthy. He;s almost as bad a Percy Harvin!
Last week...So many mistakes on secondary and again No real offence. I can't believe with all the talent we have. Our "GO TO" play last week was a wide out throw behind the line of scrimmage in hopes that we can get a break away. Mooringwig...here is a heads up. Criss Cross...Stack em....Screen...Shovel pass... The Play book looks like it came from Dunbar High School. Get creative and have a plan. God knows New England did!

what happened to the shareece we saw in week 1 that was dominant

Unfortunately, after that game he turned back into the guy we saw in preseason. A guy who gets torched pretty bad by decent receivers. I remember everyone was so high on him after that game and I was thinking, it is only one game. I was so glad when Young surpassed him on the depth chart.

I can see Darren Sproles making Wright, Young, Webb, Elam and anyone else back there look like there running in slow motion.Ravens better get to the QB because if Sproles catches a pass on the run its going to be a long day.

I guess we all need to hope for a miraculous cure.

A 'miraculous cure' just MAY mean a HC that KNOWS how to manage a Game Clock? or perhaps knows the definition of 'URGENCY'

Can Gillmore contribute to the team now, hopefully he stays healthy, but who knows. I just don't understand how this team coaches can't adjust to what they see and why we keep bailing on the running game. Makes no sense at all with the talent we have that we struggle soooo much darn near every game on offense. The plays that they call makes me wanna scream and shout at the screen, check downs to backs when you need 8 yrds for the 1st. Doesn't make me positive going forward with 3 games left to play. We probably struggle against the Eagles too not looking good but hold on for the win. The secondary with out Jimmy is gonna show up again they( the other teams) will pick on Wright like they always do and that will be visible to our coaching staff but as we all know they won't make any changes what so ever so the embarrassment is coming Sunday at 1 p.m.. I love my Ravens but don't love the coaching or game management. We lack hustle during crunch time. So let's cross our fingers an toes and hope the Ravens prove us fans wrong and win out.

maybe, however there is a good chance that SS sr is not back next year. So far the likes of Aiken and Perriman have not proven to be a likely replacement for #1 and Wallace has only solidified his position as the #2. Why not give a guy the chance to make a new start, get his life together and play like a Raven. NFL receivers can be very strange beings, they have unusual talents and personalities. Often detached, unmatched and troubled. I suppose Oz would as least talk to him if he thought there was reason, he has an understanding of players.

Darren Sproles is OUT vs. the Ravens.

Tim McManus ESPN Staff Writer

Eagles running back Darren Sproles (concussion) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Ravens, per Doug Pederson. Ryan Mathews, Kenjon Barner and rookie Byron Marshall -- recently brought up from the practice squad -- all expected to have roles.
