So we waive Hester...good riddance; but we call up Campanaro...a cat that can't stay healthy? Smh!

this is camps last chance. if he gets injured these next 3 games than he should retire.

He should have never been signed to begin with, all his previous teams cut him for this reason.

Finally some good news to come from that game! Don't let the door hit you in the bum.

That's not nice... That's kinda like kicking a guy when he's down.

I understand why he was released. What I don't understand is how he is the only one getting the blame for that safety. If the opposing team made the usual stellar punt that was legitimately fielded at the 1 yard line, would Joe still have decided to commit to a poorly-chosen run play after an obvious defensive line adjustment that was shown pre-snap? He had two options there: either audible or call a time-out. New England stuffing that play was so obvious that continuing with the play almost looked like an intentional safety. That safety was the result of two horrible choices by both special teams (Hester) and offense (Flacco).

This was a good move, Hester hasn't done anything but waive for a fair catch or run away from the ball.  I only remember one decent return from him, and even that wasn't great.

Whom or what do you suggest? Camp provides reliable hands and an extra weapon In the slot to move the chains.

This is part of the problem with the Raven's historically, and especially under JH. They are either too scared to allow young players to develop with playing time, or they simply cannot mentor them into better players. Invest high draft picks, and let them rot away on the sidelines or playing special teams, while they fill the roster with declining and expensive veterans. There was nothing to lose by letting Keenan Reynolds field punts this season and perhaps develop into a weapon. Instead they spent additional money and got a washed up Hester and are on the hook for his full contract. Webb could have easily filled in with such a conservative roll, essentially making fair catches. I just don't get the front office decision making. It is really declining quickly over the past 2-3 seasons.

He is a real threat for the ice tub and training staff nursing injuries. weapon on the field, not so much.

Hahah I agree but I don't look for him to get ANY snaps at WR. Hester had one job to catch the ball on punts and kickoffs so I think thats all Camp will do.

They signed Hester because Reynolds was having problems with punts in camp. Agree they could have used Webb or possibly Chris Moore to fair catch punts. They should have realized they made a bad move and should have released him by October.

Given Camps history he's likely to get hurt running onto the field and lining up.

Hester got the momentum going the wrong way early. Like Jacoby Jones, when you lose it you lose it. A big league hitter who can no longer catch up to the fastball. He was worth a try. We had no one else. Definitely a void on this years team. Return men have been a big part of our Championship teams. We have a weak link that needs to be filled before next game. Fat chance. Put somebody out their to make a fair catch. That is better than shying away from a return.

Flacco is an accident waiting to happen. He has no idea what he's doing. I don't think he is smart enough to read defense. Joe haven't you heard about the quick release. All you are interested is hitting a home run, testing your big arm. You constantly throw into double coverage.
