My guess on the quick meeting at midfield after the game between Joe and Tom.....Tom shakes Joes hand, pulls him in, and whispers in his ear...that's how it's done son.....Joe replies....Derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I thought your D was going to play man to man....Brady runs away from meeting, shaking his head as he's saying....and they keep blaming their OC's....

S.Smith was yelling out on the field, get me the ball, was a little more colorful than that though, idk why Joe doesn't go at him more, when a play is needed he will make it

To beat the best, you have to play near perfect, etc., We were far from it.
The O still looks vanilla to me......Still not sure why we pass so much...is our O-line that bad (depending on matchups) Again, Joe did NOT seem to be hurrying up too much when we needed to scores / against the clock with @ 3 minutes left. What up with that still ???
Nice shout out Rabid fan :)

The interception literally went right through Wallace's arms. Wallace also had another deep pass go through his arms and bounce off his chest. We had way too many check downs in this game, but when we did throw it down the field, plays were there to be made. We just had too many drops. I think we should throw deep to Wallace less and Perriman more. Perriman goes up and gets the ball with his hands. Wallace does not.

Is it possible they're throwing to Perriman less to avoid having to pay him?   Giving Osemele the opportunity to thrive last year proved to be a major loss for us.

I think the Patriots put WD-40 on their shoes pre-game and pine tar on the Raven's.   Fast vs. Slow couldn't have been more pronounced.

 Joe Flacco:

showed no urgency like if he was scared to get hit or make plays of course they're going to play hard against us but that's how the game is. Look at Tom Brady when things go wrong he shows sense of urgency he shows importance of the game. Like Ray Lewis said. Talent is average. The fire within, inspiration, true veteran Leadership is passion.

Joe! Time to let that fire burn! 3 in a row.

No, it isn't. Perriman is not in a contract year. If you try to limit your players' production to avoid paying them, you're not going to have any good players.

Flacco said the Ravens were expecting to get more man-to-man coverage, but the Patriots used more zone and dropped linebackers into coverage to clog up the middle of the field.

Game plan was for man-to-man coverage and when they realized they were playing zone heavy they didn't have any game plan to combat that. AND to top it off our crappy receivers (other than SSS) couldn't find the soft spot in the zone and get open. Piss poor coaching and piss poor on field adjustment by our receivers!!!

Why is it that our receivers run straight at the defenders? I thought the object was to avoid the defense. It's like the whole receiver corp is doing a curl route at the same time on play after play. No coming back to get separation, no hook and go, etc. I see a lot of poor play designs. They have check-down-itis.

When he entire NFL knows your QB can flick the ball 70 yards and you have 2 deep threats defenses are going to play a deep cover 2 with zone underneath which is exactly what NE did.   They know our tendancies and were more than happy to give Joe the check down.  People act like Joe just decides to check it down, he's got to take what the defense gives him.  THEN, the flip side to that is when Joe did decide to drop it deep to Wallace he gets hammered because it was double coverage, which is really wasn't because the safety was late - Wallace just opened his arms like he was trying to catch a watermelon instead of a football.  Receivers share a lot of blame on this one!!

“We made too many mistakes and they didn’t..."
Seriously? Pats did everything but gift wrap the game and put it under the tree.

It was a tough game to watch, but first if U asked 100 fans give m your list from the start of the season I bet 90 had the Ravens in the loss column against the SB champs in Foxboro. With that said its a bit tougher because I think many of us feel the Ravens had a chance at the win even as it was slipping away. Then when the turnovers go our way, we close the gap, only we get burned at the end its a bitter loss. Plain and simple we got out coached, too many mistakes and we needed our playmakers to step up. That's it, anyone who wants to blame this on Joe, John, any one player or Ray Lewis voodoo they need to go back to NaLins and look for the light switch.

Lets take a page from Patriots. Why aren't the Ravens coaches able to make the necessary adjustments. There had to be a way to take advantage of what the Patriots were doing. We need coaches with imagination. We didn't adjust in the second half, they gave us 14 points. Lets make sweeping changes in the coaching staff. Maybe, we should hire some innovated coaches from some of successful college ranks.

No creativity on offense what so ever. High school offense at best. Frustrating to watch. 8 - 8.

I agree,Morningweg need to be replaced too vanilla offense, then the Offensive line coach too many false starts starts and holding penalties. Running back and receivers coaches, lets start over. Why can't our running backs make breaks to the outsides. I see too many over weight coaches on the side lines.

yeah overweight coaches that's what it is, lol. The guy has had the offense for 6 games, he hasn't even had a training camp or a game book. Admittedly the Ravens were outcoached but when a team plays at a tepid skill level, coaching becomes much more apparent and critical. The Ravens needed playmakers last night, they needed WR's that would catch the ball when it was right in their belly! They needed more than a 202 lb rookie RB who played a tough game! They needed a kick returner who would catch the ball in traffic and be a playmaker! That team on the field was the same team from 1 week ago, the difference was it didn't play to level it needed to play.

I understand why Patriots played certain defenses. Point is if you don't move their defenders at different levels you can't create holes to throw the ball in. They can't double everyone? Joe had time to hold the ball longer and wait for something to open up on many plays instead of the 2 second check down. You would also think, after 9 years, Joe would learn how to step up into the pocket to extend the play instead of backing up right into the pressure and throwing off his back foot. The processing speed of the Ravens offense, including the coaches is not fast enough. They were outwitted by the Patriots.

there were many things in this game that were irritating to watch for me. One glaring thing was the way our receivers keep stopping short of the sticks that would give us a first down. We were being forced to take what they gave us, which wasn't enough to sustain a drive. This happened so many times Monday I can't count'em. Same thing...1,2,3 and out. The defense was gassed, so of course, the Pats were well-rested and started pushing our guys around and no one could get to Brady...he just picked us apart in the pocket. We only got to him one or twice all night. While Flacco spent most of the night running for his life. And then the other thing I hate most of all, which was a staple in our defense for the longest over the past few years...we would fight hard from behind in a game in the last minute, and leave too much time on the clock while the other team gets the ball and advances the ball down the field in big chunks until finally going for the jugular with a TD pass to the endzone! End of game...

Offense is not good at all. No running game. Don't care if it wasn't working, what happened sticking with it. Receivers can't free themselves up no matter the coverage. Sorry, Joe is spotty at best most of the time. Offense is bland. Have to give it to the Pats for a good and again tricky game plan. Hopefully we pick it up next week. Still have a slight chance to make the playoffs. Last comment.... Need more Dixon!

Everyone is upset about our lousy showing in New England. I have to shake my head sometimes. Did anyone really think the Ravens just saw the light during the Miami game and now we're top tier. Really??

The Ravens are the same team they were on game 1 weekend. They are improving. They are still middle of the pack. I put the level of thrashing we received on Harbaugh and gang. It was embarrassing. Your playing Tom Brady and Billy McCheat and you show up completely unprepared, AGAIN!!

I could jump up and down and scream. They game plan for us long and detailed because they are truly expecting a tough, tough game. What do we do? It appears not much.

It's the same problem we have and will continue to have, poor coaching, non-existent planning, never an alternate game plan, nor half time adjustments.

Tom Brady and Billy McCheat are the best QB and coach tandem in football now or ever! What's the word on Billy B. he will take away what you want to do, disrupt your timing, trick you and cheat whenever possible? We were prepared for none of that. Our guys looked frightened, confused, stunned and lost. AND THEY WERE, WHY?

Was all of this a surprise, guess so. Billy B. McCheat can go to homeless shelters and take bums and make them stars, why? Good coaching, discipline. He gets good OC, DC coaches, play callers, line coaches etc., ball boys all the way to the guy who fills the vending machine I would bet.

He doesn't have his buddies and cronies in key positions. If they don't measure up their gone. And most important he pays attention to details and manages his coaches.

Do you believe this is just luck or he is some evil genius? He probably is a genius and he certainly is evil, but; it's the details and the knowledge.

What do we have complacency and mediocrity at every level. That's what we will continue to get.....

Weddle can blame himself for Hogan's TD, but Elam has to go, he just let the guy run right by him, then just let him go. I blame Mr Harbaugh for the loss. it's obvious that whatever he's coaching isn't working. And he doesn't seem to have a clue how to react.

Even though they pegged us to the wall in the first half, the Hogan catch/Weddle and Elam mistakes and our slow pace and settlement for a FG the settle gave us the results we expected.
