Saw em and ???.. no wonder pollard couldn't stay on a team

It's not about him staying on a team.

He played on the Super Bowl team in 2012 in the backfield with the great Ed Reed.  As a former employee of this team and playing under this specific coach that is a perspective that can't be dismissed so easily as most in here will try to do.  His insinuation tonight was interesting.

"Now he's (Harbaugh) got to COACH & that's not possible"  WOW!  What an indictment!  He also said.....

Don't just blame #33. #32 was suppose to be in the middle 1/3's........ can't jump routes from that deep... oh wait #20 did lol

Except that - whose job is it really to coach the defense? Just saying.

This defense is all hype. Its coasted on over inflated stats they got from playing enough inept offenses to make them seem way better than they really are. Over rated.

I don't think they are all hype... The secondary didn't look like it was clicking from the first play and i have a feeling that whole " ravens not scared to play in foxbourgh" thing is bs now a days .. and the injuries destroyed any chance of slowing brady on the last drive. at home i BET ... it's a 100% different defense...

I know we lost, and had a really bad first half, but it's really not the end of the world yet. The Patriots were the toughest team on our whole schedule, and we ended up making it a game, even if it took us a half to do it. Baltimore is a flawed team, but the potential is there. Just make the playoffs and anything is possible; we all know that from 2012/13.

Only guy worth keeping of those three was Boldin. Reed was just a name looking for way too much money at that point.

What have we done since - we rode those guys to a SB - ride it out again, couldn't have been much worse than 8-8 and if it was just would have kick started a true rebuild with higher picks

If they're overrated what do you consider the offense or it's star QB?

I don't care what anyone in here says or what their defense of them may possibly be.  The Ravens offense is just pure trash in my book....period!!!!

Regardless of how they played last week and those 14 quick points that was "gifted wrapped" to them by fumbles within the Patriots 20 yard line tonight.  They are consistently inept and anemic.  That's who they are!   And for the record, that was not a #1 defense either.  Don't even know what the hell that garbage was on the field.  Another hot stinky egg laid on PRIMETIME!!  No wonder why the media overlooks us and pubs up our opponents.

SMH!!

Probably true, but what about the defense? I don't hear you saying anything about their pathetic performance tonight?   They gave up 260 yards in the first half alone.  Talk about laying a freaking egg!  Just a bad performance on both sides of the ball tonight. dropped balls, blown coverages, etc..

The most concerning thing for me is how they imposed their will on the run defense, never thought I'd see that

You guys make me laugh I wonder what fans of other teams think when they come in here we were all optimistic coming into the game on top of the world we lose by 7 points to New England in December on Monday night football and are still in control of our destiny this season and everyone acting like the sky is falling I personally think Dixon is a star and two think if anyone who blames flacco didn't watch the game yes he checks it down do you know anything about football? There is a defense out there trying to stop you watch the game if the receivers are covered you have to check it down it's either check it down and hope for the best or get sacked or force a throw that could be an int... Joe threw for over 300 yards 2TDs and 1Int that yes was slightly under thrown but Mike should've held onto that you can say the points were handed to us but every team gets those that's like saying the safety was given to them or our consistent bad field position off punts are handed to them no it's because of the washed up Devin Hester this game was ugly but not awful we lose and this place is always doom and gloom end of the world when we win next week everyone will be calling for this team to crush Pittsburgh this was an improbable game to win in the first place yes I was hopeful just like most of you but this wasn't going to be easy and we didn't play mistake free ball that's what will happen jimmy going down and powers hurt too which inevitably led to the Hogan play it sucks to lose and hurts cause we are so used to winning but by no means should it be end of the world around here some of you are the most negative people I've ever seen...  I'm fully invested in this team just like many of you I don't miss a thing no presser no article no play no game nothing but some of you are so negative I mean it hurts to lose but there are positives

30-31 since the Super Bowl.

And the one postseason trip since then was almost entirely because we had arguably the team's best OC ever. Our record, post Ray Lewis, says exactly what we are- average.

Everyone here is quick to blame our secondary players but never jump on our big guys.

Weddle jumped a route on that Hogsn TD. It was mostly his fault for the TD. Not Elams.

The Ugly: The Final Score - We unusually looked flat all-around in the 1st half - The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Special Teams performance - The "Patriot's Way" constant commentator's a sing-a-long all game long, the injuries

The Bad: The overall preparation for this opponent that revealed itself early - Hester was truly a liability in this game (thank the heavens their returner was, too)

The Good: The comeback attempt made the game intriguing and the Ravens showed some heart.

The Great: Dixon has arrived (Use him more in the game plan), Perriman has arrived (Use him more in the game plan), Weddle is elite, Orr balled-out, SSS balled-out, Juice balled-out, the D-Line never quit although the stats may reflect the opposite and lastly we still have a reasonable chance of winning this division.

I honestly don't see either of them going. Harbaugh came out and said it wasn't Elams fault and if they were going to cut Hester I feel like it was going to be a while back. I think they are going to ride and die with the old timer.

It comes across as him not being able to let it go (he's the guy who taped his release letter to his locker in Tennessee and posted about it on twitter) not that he had some great insight to explain. And him not being able to stay on a team was referencing to him being a bad teammate and a negative influence in the locker room which has been said multiple times by various people

besides all that a complete liability in pass coverage and a player who could only fill the box and lay a nasty hit

I thought it was a good game and I'm not too mad about the results. It sucks that we didn't win and now we have to work harder to get into the playoffs but  The team played better than I thought it would. Shareece Wright seems to really step up  but it's ashame that Jimmy Smith got hurt.

Weddle is not elite, he's good. He also gave up the game clinching TD and got trucked sticked on the game sealing drive, not elite. 2 awful dropped INTs this year

Considering the current state of the safety position he is elite.

Yeah, and that's good on him for admitting to it.  Mistakes are bound to happen and he man'd up and said it was his fault.

Im speaking to the crowd here that want Elams head for something that was not totally his fault. Granted I have no clue what he was suppose to be doing but he obviously thought he had help over the top.

The Good: Dixon. I know he's a rookie but watching him run tonight reminded me an awful lot of Ray Rice. Like seriously. If we had Kubiak or Kubiak's offense still we'd be a shoo-in for the post-season (IMO, obviously).

The Bad: Where to start.

  • What's the deal with Flacco not letting a play develop? The guy checks down way too fast. I know it was hard to tell where defenders were coming from, but they rushed 3 a good chunk of that game and Flacco's checking down in < 3 seconds with no pressure near him at all.
  • Our defense kills me. I don't care how good they are statistically, I never feel like I can count on them with the game on the line against anything other then a trash offense.
  • Drops. Come on guys, seriously? The Pick? Went right through Wallace's arms. Then there was the midfield drop towards the end of the game, right over the middle.
  • Why is our entire offense so lackadaisical when we should be hauling butt? Why do we constantly run two yard dump offs or shallow routes over the middle of the field when we're down by 10 with 5 minutes left?
  • The secondary. Literally as soon as Smith went out it fell apart. Our backups suck. Wright occasionally makes some good plays as does Powers, but by and large they do nothing but get burnt.

The Ugly: Matt Elam. I don't care if it was Weddle's coverage responsibility, I haven't seen Elams name hardly at all over the whole bloody season.

That game was an embarrassment.

PS: Please, someone hire an OC that'll take us back to a heavy run and play action offense. PLEASE!

He's our best guy and we neee to keep him. I get frustrated at Wallace too but we need to keep him, add more pieces for next season, I like Perriman and Dixon
