Wow.  The protection speaks for itself, but there is exactly 0 cumulative yards of separation there too.

This play was lost the moment the ball was snapped.

I'll play....

1. Receivers locked up

2. 3 Ravens blocking 1 Patriot

3. 1 Raven blocking 3 Patriots

4. 2 Ravens blocking 1 Patriot to the ground

5. 1 Patriot on the ground

6. A Patriot safety near the endzone

7. TONS of running room for Joe Flacco to scramble out of for a BIG GAIN!!

I knew we would lose, but not that bad. The Pats and Brady slapped us around like a red headed step child. It was hard to watch and embarrassing on national TV. This team is not playoff capable. No way we beat Pittsburgh at Heinz.

Not sure where you see #7. He's going down in a matter of seconds with 3 free defenders within four feet.

That was 100% a shot at Harbaugh...

Yes we agreed on that - but, still, who exactly is responsible for coaching the defense?

That article is hilariously bad. I wonder if that "writer" writes a post every time a player gets released calling it "mean."

So many good points about this horrible effort at NFL caliber football.

The Tucker onsides was a complete debacle.  Fine, if you want to go for the onsides, do it!  Knock off the flaming river dance preliminary.  Harbs ain't fooling nobody with that.

Flacco needs to lead receivers.  Perriman and Wallace can fly, yet time and time again slowing down to let the ball catch up to them.  Mile High Miracle never happens with these pathetic throws.  Zero touch on throws to the RB to boot.  Seems like Dixon and West are trying to catch 90 mph fastballs from 5 yards away.  Of course the balls are a foot behind them to ice the cake.

Harbaugh needs to understand that he is not a legendary coach because of the SB47 result.  He needs to coach this team like his job depends on it because it does.  Sick and tired of the jogging to the line while we trail and zero input from the coach to clean this mess up.

Vanilla play calling maybe because Joe doesn't want to study the plays long enough to make the team better.  Much easier to count his cash and play with his kids then play winning RAVENS football.  Bring on Mallett!  We may lose a few while he learns the big leagues but at least he'll give a Crap!

I agree. Flacco clearly doesn't give a crap, all he wants to do is count his money and play with his kids. Thank you for this intelligent post, I'm sure the homers will disagree with you though.

LOL!!

Triple teaming one guy while Wagner has three rushers crashing in on him, doubling up the guy behind Flacco while Nankovich comes in untouched...I mean it absolutely blows my mind that six blockers vs five pass rushers, and we find a way to let three guys come in untouched. And our receivers STILL find a way to get blanketed!

I could live with the result comfortably if Jimmy wasn't lost. :( Especially given that we finally cut ties with Hester.  I've never been so afraid of the other teams punting in my life!

I feel the exact same way.

cant argue with that.  thought the defense was coming around and the Pats laid a 500 yard burger on us and that was with two muffed kicks. rarely do the ravens get +2 turnovers and not win.  thought our O was ready to purr and flacco got to back footin and checkin down again.  we capitalized on those two muffs or we weren't even in the game getting outgained by 150 yards even with the +2.   We have decent players but no stars like in 2012.  So if that is pollard tweetin hes sayin like it is fur sur

It's 6 on 6 or should be at least. I think Juice looks like he was blocking cuz it doesn't like he was sneaking out to run a route.

If there was more time, Flacco could have maybe attempted a throw to Pitta in the back corner of the endzone.

Also, I really don't understand how Joe can go from the play he had in Miami to the play he just had in New England.

And it's not just about not passing downfield (he took one pass over 10 yards in Miami). It's about the ball placement and his mechanics. In Miami, he stood in there and delivered dimes that were in front of the receivers and put at chest level to allow for YAC. In this game, passes were low, high, and behind, but rarely ever were they in a good position for YAC. He had a few good throws in the second half, but he was overwhelmingly bad in this game.

agree with what  you saw entirely. entirely different qb in those two games. vs Miami he had his swag. vs the cheats he regressed. joe is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get, expect that it won't be the chocolate you want

Yep.  He was scared from the first snap.  The pressure wasn't even that great but he was still panicking in the pocket and looking for the checkdown almost immediately.  I still like Flacco obviously, but he's going to need some serious work this offseason in efforts to get him back to his normal self.

flacco took an early hit to the facemask with a shoulder and from that point on he looked rattled.  someone said how many long balls are waited on by the receivers and its been that way for a couple years. overthrowing is a miss sur and that could be part of his strategy to underthrow it some. but between not hitting guys in stride and not reading the defense accurately we need a running game. why was there none again?

Only good OC in the history of the Ravens is Gary Kubiak, but we did win a Super Bowl largely because of our offense that utilized an Air Coryell Cam Cameron offense, something to be said about that.

I'm done with Trestman ball, way too inconsistent and way too much pressure on the QB.

i loved kubes offense, it was unstoppable in the running game, anyone can run in that ZBS, and he was creative. this offense looks like they;re playing to lose the game or something

lmbo Don't know why coordinators ever get fired then right? Since nothing is their fault or responsibility.

That somebody was me and I stand by it.

I see plenty of space in general. Perhaps my perspective is based upon my love for mobile QB's who wouldn't have waited for the pocket to collapse like that before taking off?  Any way you see it..it's bad!
