[News] Who Ravens Fans Should Root For In Week 14

I disagree on the Brownies game because we want Cincy to still have a numerical shot at the playoffs with a win going into their home game against the squealers next week.

Marvin Lewis said after our game that they felt they still had a shot at the playoffs but needed help from other teams.

Let them dream on so they keep playing hard next week, when they can help us by knocking off p-burg, who they match up well against!

I hope A. J. Green is back for that game.

you forget we then play them in week 17 though... id rather they were dead in the water in terms of the playoffs - then all theyve got left is the ability to play spoiler and i have a feeling they hate the steelers more than us

i just feel like of all the seasons the browns could go 0-16 i wouldnt want it to be this one - i have some goodwill towards the browns for some reason this season - i like the setup they have for the future and the attempt at the rebuild and it would be ignominious if they went 0-16 rather than 1-15 for instance

the second is expected considering their complete lack of talent pre-rebuild but the first goes down in history and becomes yet another stain on the organisation

---> also i hate cincy more

My view is that ALL of this means absolutely NOTHING if the Ravens don't take care of their "own business" against the Patriots tomorrow night in primetime. Beating them...furthers their cause....PERIOD!! Get out there and make it happen boys!

GO RAVENS!!!

If the steelers or broncos lose we'll be in good shape. Even if we lose tommorow. If they both lose , even better. If they both lose and we win- well that would just be a thing of beauty.

We'll be in good shape even if we lose?  How so JJ?

My perspective is a little different.  A Ravens loss tomorrow means that they'd STILL be tied with the Steelers at 7-6 if the Steelers also lose today lose today.  But it also means that they'd have to WIN OUT their last 3 games (Eagles, Steelers and Bengals) with the last 2 of them being on the road against division foes. To me, it makes more sense to beat the Patriots while hoping for both a Steelers and Bengals loss.  That further aids our chances to lock up the division within those last 3 games.

GO RAVENS!!

The last Monday night game we had at home was to the Bengals....in 2012. Seems we're allergic to getting Monday Nights here.

After the famous BULL [profanity deleted] chant we haven't gotten many Monday night home games.

That's not true. If Ravens/Squealers both lose then the Ravens don't have to win out. If they beat the Squealers again, it gives them the tie breaker. The Squealers would have to win the other two games and the Ravens would have to lose the other two games for the Squealers to win the division - outside of that the Ravens get the division. (The Ravens would finish 8-8 (win over Squealers, 2 losses), Squealers finish 9-7 (loss to Ravens, 2 wins).

Basically the Ravens have to beat the Squealers and win 1 other game or Squealers lose another game.

Man the Bills aren't doing good so far. It's looks like after the Patriots or now that we have to get a 3 game winning streak out of these last 4 games.

Yeah Buffalo looks like a disaster so far...

Man, l'm now worried about winning the division now. Pittsburgh on Christmas; we gonna have to win that. I don't want the Ravens to play as a wild card because that would be more difficult to go the Super Bowl.

Tyrod is looking god awful right now. Looks like a shell of himself and is playing scared. Bills looked to have an easy pick 6 and dude cut inside for some odd reason instead of cutting towards sideline with no defenders around.  Steelers DID have a pick 6 but luckily got it called back.

Several injuries for the bills  right now too. Starting LT and their lb leading tackler just went down. Not looking good.

Good news is the titans have jumped out on Denver pretty good. Much rather it be the other way around but I'll take it.

A wildcard seems unlikely since the Ravens are still 2/3 games behind the 3 AFC West teams. Gotta beat Pittsburgh or they're done. Unless Rex makes something happen today.

Not true.

Ofcourse it makes more sense to hope for that- doesn't mean its going to happen!

I agree. That Jets game; we should've beat a team like that. No excuse of why we should've lost to the Jets.

Bell is not getting touch in some of these runs. Even though a loss against the Patriots doesn't decide the AFC North, winning against the Patriots might me important. Gonna have to beat the Steelers at Christmas or the season probably done; not sayin it as it is but very unlikely for a wildcard spot and l don't want a wildcard anyway.

The Ravens are only 1 game behind Denver, who's final 3 games are against teams that are all 9-3 or better, so while I'd strongly prefer to win the division, we'd have a great chance to get a wild card spot if we lose to Pitts and go 10-6, and possibly even 9-7.

The opposite is true. All this means absolutely nothing if the Ravens DO take care of their own business. The only way any of this will matter is if the Ravens don't take care of their own business.
