[News] Terrell Suggs Showing He's Still One Of The Best

One last thing, please teach Joe how to slide before Monday night!

He knows how to slide. As he said, it is the knee brace that gets caught in the turf that interferes with a smooth slide.

Suggs has played extremely well, especially through dealing with the biceps injury. Really hope the younger guys around him are soaking the Ravens warrior mentality in for when they are the ones carrying that torch. A pass rusher playing with a biceps injury is like playing with one hand tied behind his back, and he is still dominating and making big plays.

The dude is a certified beast! He terrifies QB's! Now that Doom is back to full strength, it's going to open up even more for him :) GO RAVENS! CB 25

Joe knows how to slide, he needs to learn to slide on the other leg.

Watching T-Sizzle throughout his career has been a true pleasure. A consummate professional who has fun playing the game... more power to him.

One more thing... if Suggs can put a big hit on Brady early in the game to get him complaining, it will go a long way towards the Ravens controlling the game.

Great post. I hope he does put a nice lick on Brady early on!

Do you know how hard it is to learn how to slide on the other side? I played with a brace almost identical to joes when I tore my ACL. It got stuck under me every game and I literally learned how to slide on my but but I couldn't change to the other foot lol

Suggs is a flat out baller! Every game he makes a few plays that only a hand full of players in the NFL can do.

Teams are literally running away from him 90 percent of the time because they know Suggs will either make the tackle or swallow two blockers and force the runner into our linebackers. That's the ultimate compliment to a edge setter.

8 sacks in 8 games played with a torn bicep coming back from an achilis is just Suggs way of telling the league "y'all better not forget where I am"

As many accolades as he's received, I still think Suggs is underrated. Not many pass rushers get to 100 sacks. Sizzle not only did that, but he is great at stopping the run as well. Plus, we've seen him jump into passing lanes and make plays. Look at how much the entire defense drops off when Suggs isn't on the field(last year), or when he didn't have his explosiveness in 2012.

Yes I do know. I had so many scrapes on my right leg I had to start using my left. Its not easy but it can be done.

I'm 5'7, 155lb and about as nimble, athletic, and as coordinated as they come. It can be done for sure, but still incredibly akward, esp if your instincts to slide the other way kick in right before you go down. He needs to just start trucking dbs and lbs over!!?!?! lol. Does anyone remember a year or two ago when Cutler absolutely trucked the Pitt db onto his butt?lmao

This team is going to really lose something when Suggs hangs them up and I am really curious to see what this defense looks like once he's done. Suggs has been nothing short of amazing and he was doing all this while not having his other edge rushing mate Dumervil on the field with him. It is awesome that we have them both on the field again and this is the combo I think will make the most impact for the Ravens as they attempt to get into the playoffs and win it all again.

You will never have another Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, or Suggs. They were such dynamic players with ridiculous skills and just a certain knack for always finding the ball. Ngata isn't on that same level. Sure he was a presence in the middle of our defense, but we have Brandon Williams and Michael Pierce stepping up and doing very well.

The defense can still be very good, it will just be different. When Suggs leaves the game it will be like the same feeling I had when Cal Ripken Jr. finally retired. The Orioles just didn't seem like the Orioles for awhile after he was gone.
