how about IR lewis since he's out for 6wks, and promote someone that can help the team, like camp, ochi or someone.

Or Taliaferro, who had zero impact even when he was healthy

Taliaferro is not a factor on the team. They can pick someone up off the street who can fill his role.Boyle may be a better prospect than Gilmore, if they didnt play anymore this year they would not be missed.

For what reason? Whoever would get promoted would not make the Game Day Roster. So, basically you're burning another $500K in salary cap space by doing that. If you do that with Lewis & Gilmore, you're burning $1 million in salary cap space that you could roll over into next year. If there is another injury, then you do that. But you don't if there is no pressing need.

particularly if we make it to the postseason and these guys get healthy to either come in fresh or to be starter level backups

Obviously nobody knows, but Gilmore should be back for the Pittsburgh game which would be Huge. Being able to put Gilmore and Boyle on each end of the line will enable us to control the scrimmage. Helps play action and so on. Playoff football is already here

It is awesome that we are this healthy at this point in the season. Sizz and Yanda playing through their respective injuries just proves they are men among boys. You gotta love those guys, true warriors!

I'm predicting the Patriots injury report will be a bit longer after Monday night!

Like Brady missing two games with a sore backside?  ;)

Gilmore is by far the best blocking TE on this squad. With a shaky line, Gilmore is needed more than ever. Glad he's back

He's not back. Unless something changed yesterday that I missed?
