Normally I think you don't. But the defense forced how many punts tonight?  The kick sucked though.

I thought the defense had enough stops to warrant a kick.  Either way the offense needed to show some more urgency.

So Pats use the old Harbs holding punt?!

Nope. Shoved it down their throats. That's the difference in these teams.

Get rid of it means throw it away in the back of the end of zone.  I know everyone is so used to Tucker nailing every FG he takes. But it's always better to keep it a closer easier FG as opposed to eating a sack and adding 7 yards to a field goal attempt.

If you throw it out the back of the end zone from 30 yards out when everyone runs 5 yards curl it's intentional grounding

No, it wasn't just the offense that lost it. If the defense doesn't give up a huge touchdown in the 4th quarter it's a very different game. Or give up nearly 300 in the first half. Both sides lost the game.

No, this is yet one more time that the offense was pathetic and nonexistent for an entire half. Flacco knows damn well you have to put up points but didn't do his part. You'd expect a 120 million QB with 9 years in the league to lead, motivate and inspire his guys.

Not one for moral victories, but at least they made it a game. That gives me hope for the rest of the season. We're still out of the Pat's league though.

Are we really going to keep making excuses for the defense? They had plenty of rest and Elam blew it when it was 23-20 and in reach.

It's never the defense's fault

500 yards of offense.. unbelievable

Well at least we made a game of it.  Patriots did everything possible to allow us to stay in this game.  But back to second place in the AFC North.  If we do make the playoffs we'll be another fringe team....like usual.

The only reason they made it a game was because of two lucky turnovers in the Patriots side of the field.

I feel like that Hogan TD was on Weddle and Elam. Both guys looked confused. I think it's wrong to completely blame Elam because it looked like he expected Weddle to handle the deep coverage.

Weddle have over the top coverage in that situation.  He was caught looking into the backfield .

Can people finally stop saying Pees is great? Stop with the oh we lost our starting CBs excuse. Can anyone name the Pats starting corners for this game? Yet they shut down our receivers. So stop that BS excuse

And Wallace and Perriman dropping passes, defense sucked today

Both sides looked good at times but failed in key moments. I've never understood people who pin the blame on one side every week - plenty to go around for everyone.

I agree. But they did capitalize on them. That's better than what they did earlier this year.
