Great news...Alex Lewis is back at practice. Doubt he'll play this week but at least that should light a bigger fire for Ducase! Hopefully he steps it up this week.

if anything, as long as we keep rolling i dont mind ducasse staying in even if lewis properly comes back - lewis is a very high level backup at both tackles and the guard spot to have this late in the season

I like our chances in this game and I'm not sweating NE at all. They are down two of their best playmakers in Gronk & Amendola. Bennett is playing injured and hasn't done much of late with 6 completions for 40 yards over the last 3 games. So they are left with Edelman, Hogan and the rook Mitchell to carry the load and I feel we can run with them.

Plus, who has NE faced this year? They always dominate their own division. Outside their division with the Jets, Bills and Dolphins, they have faced the Cards, Texans, 49rs, Rams, Browns, Cincy, a Roethlisberger-less Steelers and the Seahawks who they lost to in NE. That schedule is gravy, for the most part.

As long as we don't beat ourselves with missed blocks, dropped passes, blown coverages and stupid penalties, I see no reason we don't bring home a win.

Does anyone know how kind Hochuli has been to Baltimore lately?

Penalties are always a factor for the Ravens this year, but against the Pats... well, we all know the story .

Hochuli usually lets them play and he calls the game the same for both sides, personally I may disagree, he seems fair and if he makes a mistake he mans up--my favorite ref always.

Yeah, he has never struck me as either stingy or bias.  In this day and age that is all you can ask for.

That's encouraging. Thanks for the review.

I was excited by Amendola's absence until I found out he only has 23 receptions this season. He might not have been much of a factor even if he did play.

he would have been because he's been injured a lot and because the pats havent needed him but he started taking kick off returns and got worked into the lineup to see more targets after gronk went out and bennett became less important

its important because cyrus jones (who will probably be back fielding kicks) has had fumbling issues this season which is why amendola took over

I'm excited about this game. The biggest thing the Ravens have going for them is they are as healthy as you could ask for this point in the season. The second biggest thing is that guys who were forced to start slow because of injury are rounding into shape and this is the perfect time. I have been tough on Pitta this year and unfairly so. Working back from 2 major hip injuries probably takes way more time to 100% get back from than I gave Pitta. However over the last 2-3 games he's looked much more explosive and able to create more separation. I point that out because he's been a bit of a Patriots killer with 15rec 146yds 3TDs in his last 3 games vs them. Also in 2014 when Pitta was hurt, Owen Dallas had a really nice day vs them, so they've struggled with the Ravens TEs as a whole. This could be a huge advantage for the Ravens, because the Pats really don't do a good job covering TE. However I expect this to be a focal point for them and it'll open up other areas imo.

I think we could see the same type of offense vs the Dolphins in this game. The key will be how the Ravens perform in the redzone. The Pats are gonna play bend but don't break to keep everything in front of them because they don't want the big play to beat them. I expect Belicheick to make the Ravens stay patient to beat them knowing the penalty and drive stalling issues the Ravens have had.  I don't think the Pats defense is good enough to match up man to man across the board.

On defense it's simple. Don't disregard the run. Keep pressure on Brady up the middle with stunts an well timed bltizes. Gotta make him move his feet. Most importantly make the freaking tackles when the ball is thrown short.

Besides steelers games it's been awhile Ravens have played a game of this hype and magnitude

Can't say the writing isn't on the wall anymore. The time is now to show up, play our hearts out and take it to them all game long with mistake free execution and championship play like there's no tomorrow. We can do this!

Just go out and flame their arses. :flamethrower::34853_blobfire:

GAME DAY

If we lose this game, can't really have any excuses. This is the healthiest we've been in some time, our defense is number one in the league, and our offense is coming off their biggest output this season. Time to show that we belong!

Go Ravens!

While technically not a must-win game, it's a must-win game, especially with Pitt winning yesterday... thanks a lot, Rex.

Counting down the hours!  Let's go Ravens!  Shake up the Patriots!

Me too!  I'm so pumped for this game!  I can't stand the Patriots, and this game has huge playoff implications!  Plus, since it is in primetime, I can watch the entire game without distractions since my young kids will be in bed

When do the inactives come out on Monday nights?

If it stays consistent with Sunday games, it's usually 1 1/2 hours before the game.

We need to take a page out of the Broncos playbook last year, and pressure the hell out of Brady!   That game was so enjoyable to watch, lol.  I love it when Brady gets rattled and they almost broke him in half in that game.

Rush four and drop seven in coverage and that will force Brady to throw into tight windows. Maybe we pick him off.  Our front should be able to cause issues with Brady's pass protection, we just need to pressure, pressure, hit him, and pressure some more.

Who's nervous?  ^^ this guy is nervous

Anyone who says they aren't is a liar.

I suppose I'm not nervous in that I'm not expecting a win tonight. Man I wish the Bills weren't so useless.

I'm not nervous at all. I think the Ravens will have a great showing and the offense will light it up. The Pats struggle to get pressure and struggle to cover the middle of the field, they are also susceptible to big plays over the top. I heard a stat that only 4 other teams have given up more plays of 25+ than the Pats. So I expect the offense to put the NFL on notice tonight.

I don't know who, but one of either Dixon or Perriman will introduce themselves to the NFL World tonight.

it does bare repeating that the pats havent beaten a large number of good teams this year - their schedule looked difficult before the season but a lot of those teams have disappeared - i always hate that fallacy that you can really comment on strength of schedule before the year's started - our losses to oakland, the giants and the redskins looked bad early on but now look at those teams - strong looking playoff outfits
