2016 Week 14 Other Games Discussion

They need to add another week to the regular season and give every team their "second" bye before their TNF game. That should lift the quality of play at least a bit.

I would like to see the NFL have the regular BYE week for teams, and have a League Wide BYE similar to what Baseball does for The All-Star Break. Have the League Wide Bye Week be before Thanksgiving. Everyone is off, before coming back for Thanksgiving Week ready for the post season run through December.

Yeah - AFAIK opening day does not count, and only one game on Thanksgiving (the primetime game) counts as a Thursday night game for teams.

I didn't know that, interesting. Makes sense of the Cowboys and Vikings playing a TNF game straight after Thanksgiving - I'd always thought that was an extra one in the same way Opening Day is.

I'm not sure who was at fault for that miscue between Cooper and Carr, but that pass has to be caught.

To do that they'd probably have to move to having more teams having their byes each week, since right now the bye weeks run through the week after thanksgiving.

I truly believe that if Carr's hand weren't injured the Raiders would have demolished the Chiefs tonight.

I think if derrick Johnson is , they don't .

plus their first meeting Justin Houston didn't even play

Valid points - especially on the Derrick Johnson front.  But just looking at this game, there have been so many passes from Carr that should have been made, but have been way off target (which I attribute mostly to his injury).  I feel like in that case, it looks like the Raiders would have put this in the bag a while ago.

I agree he definitely  has missed easy passes. Could be the cold too,

Chiefs now control their destiny in the AFC West. Having a season sweep of Oakland, beating the Broncos in Denver and with the Broncos now having to come to Kansas City in Week 16. They also own a 4-0 Division Record, Chiefs are officially the two seed and the Raiders drop to the fifth seed. If we beat the Patriots, Chiefs have the tiebreaker over New England for the one seed through 14 weeks.

Steelers snapped the Giants six game winning streak. We snapped the Dolphins six game winning streak. The Chiefs just snapped the Raiders six game winning streak. If there are any other teams on six game winning streaks heading into Sunday... you know how to make your picks in Pick'em.

It doesn't shock me to see the Chiefs having a clean sweep of their division rivals so far. I think they'll end up with a perfect division record at the end of the season, and be the ones to knock the Broncos out of the playoff race.

I"m glad Watkins and Woods are playing for Buffalo against Pitt on Sunday!  Really hope the Bills can pull that game off!

Rex Ryan confirms that WRs Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods should be "ready to roll" against Pittsburgh. Both are listed as questionable.

Bad injury news for Bills though is that DT Kyle Williams might not play:

Rex Ryan says he is "concerned" that DT Kyle Williams cannot play Sunday after his back locked up last night. Ryan says Jerel Worthy and others will need to step up.

That was crazy defense, Bills.  Shut down those Steelers!

Yeah then when they had Bell stopped 5 yards short on 3rd & 10, they let him bust a 32 yard run.

Dolphins LB Mike Hull, who is replacing injured LB Kiko Alonso just got his first career interception on Carson Palmer.
