[News] Could Win Over Dolphins Propel Ravens Like 2012 Win Over Giants?

10 posts in this topic

The 2016 Ravens have only begun. The game against the Fins was the primary ignition kicking in for this journey to the promised land.

Believe it or not this Ravens team will give Brady more fits than past teams. The reason is simple, before Brady could primarily focus on Ray and Reed. Now it is not so obvious who to really focus and game plan around as contributions keep coming from every position at critical moments to make the difference.

It won't be an easy game, but give the Ravens defense the element of surprise plus the best run defense in the NFL. Got a good feeling about the pass rush this week with Gronk out.

Sure hope you are right. If all the Ravens do their jobs we will be fine.

Everything about this season reminds me of 2012 except for a couple differences. The one big difference is that this is a much more talented and deeper team. Anther difference is that we are very healthy going into the stretch run. And thirdly, this defense is a dominant defense that is far better than the Super Bowl team.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if we go into Foxboro and dominate the Pats. Stop the run, no Gronk and all you have left is Brady throwing 5-7 yard quick passes. Just get the LBs in his passing lanes and we have a good chance to rattle him. Then he becomes a less than average QB as we have seen many times in the last 3-4 years. I like the Ravens history in Foxboro as heavy underdogs....we have won at least 3-4 times so this team can certainly defeat the Pats.
Can't wait for Monday night.

I have more disdain for the "Asterisks" than any other team in the NFL. Including those yellow towel waving fools to the northwest, although it's close. We have to find a way to mercilessly beat them this game at everything we do, leaving no doubt in their minds who the better team is.

Each team is different every year so trying to compare possibilities of winning against any team on past performances is a bit of a fools errand. Out of the 8 games we've played in Foxboro, we've only won 2 of them. The one thing you can take from that is, we have beat them in the past but that in no way means we'll do it again this year however, Gronk being out is a help because he got over 100 yds and a couple TD's against us in the divisional round in a close 35-31 game. We hung with them all game and had a 21-14 lead at the half. We actually had a 14pt lead twice in that game! It was an awesome game and we have most of the same players playing this year. We beat on Brady all game long. I'm hoping Mornhigweg comes up with a great game plan for Monday night. I'm sure Bilichick is pouring through the rule book to see what he can do to bend the rules again simply because he knows straight up, we're going to be tough to beat. I'd love to see a flea flicker to Steve Smith in the 4th qtr to seal the game. That would be epic!

“It was complete team victory,” safety Lardarius Webb said. I love the old days when Special teams & Defense scored too.

I'm afraid that all it will take is one bad series or an INT early in the NE game to demoralize us. I hope we start strong, like we did against Miami. If we do, and force NE to play catch-up, then I think we'll pull it off. And if we do, then THAT is some momentum to carry forward.

The NE game is the barometer. Be prepared for upset stomachs and anxiety on Monday night. i hope West and Dixon are phenomenal in this game.

Most of the so called "experts" have already penciled in the Steelers as winners of the AFC North. This team has to earn their respect.
