22 posts in this topic

Ravens will have to beat Patriots at least once. Flacco was the second-best QB in Week 13 … behind an AFC North foe. Forsett cut by Lions, but claimed off waivers by Broncos. Tight end diagnosed with leukemia days after being cut by Ravens.

Obviously....the "dark horse" fringes on- WHAT Flacco (type of leader) will show.
up. Lets hope this mini roll escalates!

Dear Santa,
Can we please kick New Englands buttocks into oblivion ?

I sure hope our players don't think that Monday nights game isn't a must win. That's not the mentality we need nor do we need to lose a game to let Pittsburgh have any hope of winning the division. Go kick some butt and let's get some recognition for a change!

Even though we beat the Steelers 5 straight times, that Christmas game is gonna be stress because if we lose that we might don't win the division. I wish we would've beaten the Steelers at Pittsburgh first then having a Christmas game at home. I would've have a lot more conference if we play the Steelers at home last. But we will get it done.

I agree.  I will be very nervous going into that game, assuming that game will determine the divsion, which it very well may.  However, IF somehow we beat the Pats Monday night and Rex Ryan, Tyrod Taylor, and the Bills beat the Steelers on Sunday, then we will be in a position where any 2 wins in our final 3 games will give us the division (Eagles, @ Steelers, @ Bengals)  That is what I am hoping for.  It would be the icing on the cake if that happened, then in Week 15 the Bengals beat the Steelers and we beat the Eagles to clinch the division!  Wishful thinking I know.

Also, this game vs. Patriots is big because it keeps the possibility of a wildcard alive (even if Steelers run table to go 11-5).  10-6 could still sneak us in as the last wildcard (if Broncos lose twice and Dolphins lose 1 more)

As in they are inconsistent, could win big or lose big type of dark horse, sure. If they do what they just did to the dolphins against their greater division foe in the patriots, we can buy into the hype. ---- Flacco has to stop forcing throws to the other team. Why, I stopped playing fantasy football, players don't show  up, they show outside.

New England has played 6 teams with a losing record, 3 teams with a winning record and 3 at 500. They lost to Seattle (winning record) and Buffalo at home. The Pats beat everyone in Seattle division except the leader (Seattle). The Pats played & beat everyone in the Ravens division except the leader. The Ravens. When Pats play tough teams they fumble so I hope the Ravens rookies PLAY Like a RAVENS this week. Would you rather beat Dallas in Prime-time or New England in Prime time? This is going to be fun

I'll give you that their schedule is not that impressive, but as always, you have to look at these things outside of a vacuum.

They're 7-1 with Brady this season, with their only loss being to an obviously good Seattle team. They largely easily dispatch bad teams like the Bengals, Browns, 49ers and Rams. They avenged their loss (without Brady) to the Bills by beating them by 16 points in their own building, and they largely handled the Steelers as well.

They're one of the best teams in the league easily, and we will have to play better than any game we've played so far in order to beat them.

NOT from my perspective, Homee.

Don't worry. They definitely want to wipe the smirk off of Brady's face.

Agree,Ravens can only beat Pats if Ravens play like last Sunday. I'm just hoping all this improving talk is real.

The pats will be watching Pitta gotta switch it up Waller and Boyle could do alot of damage and the run will do good as well but Joe gotta put them away! 30 pts a game is mandatory and can be done with another Air show! PS do not fall that oakey doke like last time when Bellichick puts a CB rite up on our WR and the safety looking the other way ITS A TRICK! Remember Joe threw into over and under coverage and that cost us a Super Bowl! "THINK"! Stick to the TEs for now!

Steve Smith Sr. said it best "... We go as he goes" We can blame the WRs and the Oline as much as we want, but it's critically important that the QB plays well. All the Offensive snaps go through him, and he can audible whenever he sees fit.

I want these next three games so bad, I can taste it. Win the next three and it won't matter what we do in the last one. If we don't win this game, I will be majorly disappointed.

I agree.  I find it odd that I have seen it written in several places that despite what we do against the Patriots, if we win our last 3, we win the division.  I haven't seen anywhere that says if we win the next 3 (@Patriots, vs. Eagles, @ Steelers), we win the division!

Ravens could have that kind of record too but have to do all the dumb stuff (players & coaches) that ends up costing games at first half of the season. Ravens always seem to need to re-learn everything every season and not build upon year after year. That's what drives fan NUTS. New England is not as unbeatable as people think.

The Ravens ability to be near the top of the league in penalties every single season is getting tiring.
