Baltimore didn’t give up a single sack, and surrendered just two quarterback hits, to the Miami Dolphins’ top-flight defensive front. The Ravens offensive line has been sparked by the emergence of first-round pick Ronnie Stanley.

I've been saying it all season; give Joe protection and time and he will do what he's capable of doing and this game proved it. The OL gave up no sacks and numerous times I saw Joe stand up and step up in the pocket and throw darts to his receivers. One of the biggest things was the receivers were actually getting open and catching the ball. Everyone wants to blame Joe when the offense sputters but doesn't want to account for the things out of his control. The big question is can the OL continue to play this good???

I'm here to eat crow. I've been VERY critical this season mainly because this team has talent. I agree give Joe protection and then he's can be an elite QB. I really feel that the make shift line and coming off ACL surgery had Joe hearing foot steps early in the season, now the line is playing better and he feel more confident in the knee and he's playing stronger. The D needs still needs to put more pressure on the QBs and the O still needs to keep the holding penalties at a minimum. Do that and this team is a sleeping giant that no team will want to face in January. GO RAVENS keep it up !

Yup, got poo poo'ed myself by many when I said the same things. I have defended Joe all along. It's all pretty obvious to some of us that if you aren't healthy (which I don't believe Joe was), and you have 7 different O-Line configurations in 10 games, you're not going to get the protection, or the time to allow the guys to get open, and open holes for the running game. They are the key to it all. I was so proud yesterday. I really hope we can keep up the momentum.

Well he certainly showed that the Ravens were correct selecting him instead of Tunsil in Sunday's game. Great job! GO RAVENS! CB 25

Great start to December! I'll temper playoff expectations though. This game proved what the TEAM is capable of doing when everyone is on their A game, but Monday night's game in New England is the real statement game.

It looks more and more like the Ravens made the correct call in taking Stanley over Tunsil. In this head to head match, Tunsil committed multiple fouls and looked like crap. Stanley played his best game. Lets hope this is a sign of things to come for him. The Ravens really need him to stay healthy.

Finally!! The Ravens realized their full potential on both sides of the ball. The improvement in the offensive line was started by the return of Stanley but I'm impressed with the play of Ducasse and even Zuttah.
The defense plays at a whole new level when Jimmy Smith is in and it showed on Sunday. Having virtually the entire team healthy gives us a huge edge over most teams, We have real quality depth and should be strongest in the 4th quarter.
If this is what we can expect and not just a one time deal then NE is in serious trouble. Brady hasn't played against this good a defense all season. Against a strong front seven putting him under pressure he can be rattled. Without Gronk or the ability to run the ball he may be in for a long day. If our offense plays the way they did Sunday the NE defense will not stop them. As usual, Tucker could be the X factor.
This season reminds me of the 2012 Super Bowl year. Firing the O coordinator in mid season, the mid season slump, and their marginal record keeping them off the radar is like deja vu. Based on yesterday's performance I can see them making the playoffs and making a deep playoff run again. And once again they will have to do it on the road.

Yep.....the way this season has gone reminds me exactly the way the 2012 season went. If they can run the table starting in NE Monday night then they may enter as the best team in the AFC and get a rematch with the Cowboys. The most critical factors are the healthy return of Jimmy Smith and that the team is virtually injury free.

Don't forget most importantly, losing to the Redskins!

You see this type comment invites counter arguments which some people on this website will readily see as "hate on Flacco" You are essentially implying that if the offense isn't playing well to look no further than the Oline and the WRs. That I completely disagree. Flacoo played an excellent game last Sunday, but let's not pretend that he has not been mediocre WRs and Oline not withstanding.
What I think is more likely the case is 1. Flacco is getting healthier 2. He was determined to elevate his game and that of others around him - when's the last time you saw Flacco get in anyone's face like he did Wallace yesterday? 3. The Oline is jelling 4. The OC called a better game 5. The whole offense consequently played better

I agree Completely! I also believe it has a lot to do with the fans criticism. It may not be him reading these comments himself but it could be friends and family relaying it to him OR, it could be that we're right about what we're seeing and he's taking to heart. He corrected every criticism I've had about him this year in that game. More animated and active on the sidelines, talking to Wallace about just standing there on that INT, his mechanics were much improved and he moved in the pocket and threw it out of bounds when he had to. No happy feet. I'd have to really be picking to find anything to complain about with his play Sunday. Great job and I hope he builds on this and does the same thing in NE Monday night.

Stanley was the right choice at that draft slot.

I seriously can not recall any negativity on that pick. Nobody in their right mind could put up argument against it.

Vlad has been a good under the radar signing. Tavon Young, Judon, and Stanley are solid draft picks. In Ozzie we trust, just need everyone to play at there full potential consistently.

Hats off to the O line but I feel the play calling really got it done! Better play calling helps the O Linemen and the Ravens were too predictable before and now Joe slinging that Rock 10 different WRs and it's getting better! "Keep the pedal to the metal"!

I don't think Flacco was mediocre considering everything around him. The run game put him in too many long yardage situations, he had no time to throw, his wrs couldn't get open, and because of the lack of practice time, they weren't on the same page, and there were too many drops. Even when he did have time to throw, he wasn't stepping into his throws with confidence because he was so used to getting hit. I've never seen anyone succeed under those circumstances, although i haven't seen many QBs play in an offense that bad in the first place.

Even with all that, Flacco was still making some great throws to help the team. On a few of the deep balls he completed to Wallace and Perriman, he got hit while throwing it and still dropped a perfect dime 40-50 yds down field. Those were a big part of our offense early in the season when we couldn't sustain drives. He also made some perfect throws that were dropped, like Wallace dropping his potential 22nd straight completion and TD, or Perriman dropping a perfect deep ball that may have been a TD. Joe would have won us the game against the Redskins if Perriman would have tapped his foot in bounds, and he made another perfect throw to Wallace on the final play, but he dropped it. There were drops by Moore and Aiken that cost us the game against Oakland. Joe missed an open receiver once in a while, but so does every other QB in the league. Some people brush all of that off as "excuses", but when he gets time to step into his throws, he can dominate a game as well as anyone.

If we win in MA, then that loss to the JETS would really bother me! lol

Thank you! For whatever reason, Joe played like he's capeable of playing and for various reasons wasn't playing like that all year. Let's hope it lasts

We have got to FEED Dixon more! He is a monster in the making! All that HYPE about Reynolds must've added fuel to his fire!

Dixon is a monster indeed! When he was drafted I thought to myself, meh another developmental RB. But he's really proved that we stole him in the 4th round.

No doubt in my mind that Stanley was the correct 1st round pick for this team. We needed a good LT and I'm sure we've found him. I hope his foot holds up for the remainder of the season. With the right pieces in place, the line is finally playing to it's potential and I don't want to see anything disrupt that going forward.

This was the Ravens team we all have been waiting to see, with the offensive additions made over the last couple of years. If they can maintain this type performance in the coming weeks, then we are indeed a very dangerous team to face. We all know NE doesn't like facing us as it is, and now, after this past Sunday, they really have some thinking to do. I pray we can repeat Sunday's performance and smack the Pats - come on, the Jets almost beat them last week, so it is indeed possible. GO RAVENS !!

No, that's not what I am implying.  What I am saying is that when the offense plays like crap everyone wants to scream and shout how much Joe sucks and NOBODY wants to account for the 9 different offensive line changes he's played, Steve Smith Sr being out for several weeks and piss poor play by the OL and receivers.  When the OL plays as well as it did, then that allows Joe to what he does and that allows the receivers to do what they do.  Almost every struggling team has a weak OL, without a strong OL your offense will go nowhere!!  Look at Oakland, you honestly believe Carr is as good as he is, he and Dak have the two best OL in the league right now.  You parroted all the points they brought up on the radio but nice try.  Flacco getting healthier, healthier since the week before, really??  Getting in Wallace's face and Marty calling a better game - guess what take all of those ball them up and if the OL plays like crap then none of that even matters!!!  Flacco was able to sit in the pocket and get comfortable because the OL played as well as they did.  It all starts with the offensive and defensive lines.

I guess this settles the Stanley vs. Tunsil debate.

I think Castillo's system works when he has the right guys in the right positions, but it took us half the season to figure out what that looks like.
