Agreed.  I admit, I never thought Dennis would play again.  And to see how well he is doing is just mind-blowing!  He and Joe really do have something magical.

As for Suggs, he is like a Timex watch.  Nothing keeps him down for long.  I can't imagine what it is like this year, playing with that torn muscle.

Here I make it simple. How many PRO bowls has Joe been selected too compared to other QB's?

Yes, but how many of those "voted" into the Pro Bowl have won a Super Bowl and MVP of that said Super Bowl. The Pro Bowl has turned into nothing but a "popularity" contest, you can vote over and over again for who you want.  Joe ain't trying to win any popularity contest. What's up, are you mad that he did well, and you can't "pick on him this week?

BTW.... wonder what the experts will say about the Ronnie Stanley / L Tunsil thing after last week. I know it is only one game and I know they don't exactly go head to head but Ronnie has to win round 1

Agreed!  How many penalties did Tunsil get?  It was at least three.

It's funny that people act like Joe suddenly and mysteriously got hot. He is always elite when he gets time to step into his throws, his receivers get at least a little separation, and they open up the offense and play aggressive.

Alright, we got a loss vs Washington, an OC being fired afterwards, a little locker room discord between players and coaches... you see where I'm going with this?

If Joe follows up with a great performance next week in Foxboro then everyone should be pleased. I guess he and Mornhinweg need to have an argument every now and then to get things cooking.

if anything im more nervous about new england next week - i always like the idea of going in there as a heavy underdog but this performance was so strong i just want the rest of the nfl to forget about it so we can re-surprise them next week

although i will say this - the pats defense is not good this year and the replacement for jamie collins is a big step down - hightower is a good linebacker but i think new england is also vulnerable over the middle like the dolphins - not that i like the idea of abandoning the run again but a quick short-intermediate passing game working the middle behind the linebackers might be the order of the day again

True definition of: Play Like A Raven (from both of them)

yes, there is such a thing called prevent offense and just like the prevent defense,i hate it because it prevents you from winning, wev'e done a great job the last couple of games not playing prevent defense and keeping the pressure on,sunday we did it with the offense.the big thing i saw was receivers settling in,in the zone and seems like flacco finally did as well.

I saw Flacco throw the ball faster than he ever has. I saw us use screens and misdirection more than ever. That's how you protect your QB when your line is struggling. I hope we continue to use this kind of an offense. We're not always gonna score 35+ but if we can sustain drives and limit TOs then we have a chance against anyone.

I woudnt say he was hot or cold. It was a simple gameplan and he executed beautifully. id say half his throws were easy as heck and if that's what the D gives you then take it and run!

his delivery was faster - his mechanics looked much better and they had looked like they were improving since the bye but his release i think was finally that extra fraction quicker and he finally had enough time to go through all his reads and even go back to the first one on one occasion

Amen to that. It's amazing how the game changes when your QB isint in his butt most of the time lol

I absolutely agree. Thank god we had the lead early coz he would have milked the clock like the Cowboys did

i do think the main thing though was the mechanics - if your  mechanics work then those short throws allow receivers to make yards after catch etc. which opens up the game by forcing the defense to back off into coverage and rush less or be more wary of the quick pass which helps

if anything the mechanics and the quicker release helped the OL which helped flacco even more it's crazy how much of a multiplier effect there is when the qbs mechanics and reads early on are good

Harbaugh told reporters after the win. “They had a little back-and-forth in one of the quarterback meetings – that was fun to watch. I heard about it; I didn’t actually witness it. But, that’s what I think.

Really John? Come on man.

This was the offense we should've had from the get-go, it was basically run by 2012 Joe Flacco.

Regarding next Monday, I'm not saying they'll give an exact repeat performance like they did yesterday but if history is any indicator the Ravens are gonna give them a fight. They won't just roll over and let Tom Brady torture them on national primetime television.

I see that video of Suggs crawling around and think "Who let the dogs out!" I think he may have been licking his chops thinking about playing Tom Brady next week because I know he is not a fan. I think Weddle was stoked after the win, because he knew that Berger cookies and ice cream was in his future. ;)

the dolphins have a better oline than the pats and doom is only gonna get better week by week - hopefully we can smoosh brady like a bug underfoot next week to deter him from taking his time in the pocket

It seems like it will probably get lost in all the offense talk and with the Pats next week, but I think Tavon Young had a break out game, glad to see it reflected in the PFF rankings. He's developing into a great corner despite his size and a real play maker. Hopefully he's starting the rest of the season. He got a little banged up towards the end of the game, was it a serious at all?

He was back in a series or two after. It was his shoulder that appeared to be injured. Hopefully nothing serious. I agree, he is growing into an exceptional cornerback.

im pretty sure it was just a stinger - the way he was holding it as he walked off suggested so - i think zrebiec confirmed it and he was back later in the game looking just as fine as early on

I have been a tough critic of Flacco the entire year, but he had his way with the Miami Dolphins. I'm hoping this is December Joe flipping the on switch. I saw improved mobility, but his accuracy was on point the entire game. Flacco's one interception was a terrible decision, but he thought he could make the throw. The game plan looked like we decided to let Flacco win this game for us. The ability to run effectively also helped.

For people (like me) who struggle to maintain a grip on the tie-breaking procedures, here is a little breakout of the top six, and where we stand right now.

TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more teams in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.

Two teams
1. Head-to-head (right now we own this over Pitt., but if they beat us 12/25, this goes away). :D
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division (Ravens own right now, 4-0 to Pitt's 2-1). :D
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games (right now we're even 5-4 each).
4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference (right now we own, 7-2 vs. 5-3).:D
5. Strength of victory (right now, Pitt owns by 5 pts.).
6. Strength of schedule (right now, Ravens tied for 19, Pitt tied for 23). :D

Of course, these are in hierarchical order, and you only move down to the next one if the current one is a tie.  But our having beaten Pittsburgh once, and being perfect so far in the Division are huge.

No need to worry about run balance as far as numbers go. Run balance is really just about keeping teams defenses honest so they cannot force you into being one-dimensional (run only or pass only).

I'll also add, if something is working don't go breaking it.

Time to go and light a fire in Foxborough and send the Pats packing. It will be a hard fought game, but ultimately Ravens will prevail. The difference will be the fact the Ravens get their PATS.

great win, a good mix, the Ravens HAVE to run the ball to win.

You mean like the 20 times they did yesterday ,with only 40 passes. LOL

I hope you don't have to do this for the wild card on New years eve. LOL

You play the run game or pass game depending on what works best. Yesterday was pass day. Perhaps next game will be run game. Who cares. The game plan was good and so was the whole team. Go Ravens.

Steelers at Bills next week will be a tough game for them but not as tough as our game in NE. Games are very important for all four teams.
It's gonna come down to Christmas Day in Pittsburgh.
