[News] Joe Flacco Drives Aggressive Offense To Explosive Day

40 posts in this topic

I'm sure glad Mornhinweg hates being called conservative. This is how our offense needs to play. No more wasting possessions by trying to establish the run game and setting up play action. That's not the strength of our team. While everyone else has been saying we need to run the ball more, I've been saying we should do exactly what we did today. Keep it going!

Finally, A complete game in all phases! Joe looked like "December Joe", O line looked good, the few runs we had were good, receivers looked good. We didn't let off the gas or play prevent D in the 2nd half! What an awesome way to head into a Monday night game in Gillette stadium! Let's ride this wave and show NE, they're not all that!!
Really proud of our team tonight!
As of 7pm, the Giants aren't doing us any favors tonight with Pittsburgh so it's going to come down to Xmas day it looks like.
Let's hunt!

Loved watching this game today, Dennis Pitta said it best. The offense has so much potential, there are so many weapons, and we can be so good when Joe gets them the ball. He was dropping dimes all day on this Miami defense, if he and Morhinweg can play with this kind of confidence next week in New England it will be a heck of a game. So excited we finally put a game like this together against a genuinely good ball club, let's keep it rolling!

Joe really played a heck of a game but that also falls on the O-line playing well and giving Joe time and all of Joe's WR/TE/RB catching the balls thrown their way. and just my opinion but 1 of the best catches of the day was to Aiken when he popped the ball up and made a diving catch for a first down on the rebound. So many times this season we have watched Joe try to force things or make something happen and mess up and the WR/TE/RB drop very catch-able balls.:18_1_328:

Flacco played lights out. If the offense plays close to this regularly, we have a real chance. I hope they never rest on this. The patriots are next.

Another interesting point; Tannehill is listed at 6'7" but he was looking up to Flacco. I think Flacco is taller than the 6'6" he is listed as.

Flacco is not elite!! But he was good enough today. Hopefully this will continue, they have to run the ball in order to win. Tougher test next Sunday.

Great win, but those 5 loses are coming back to bite the Ravens in the butt. If they could have not goofed up just one of those games the Ravens would have some breathing room. Pitts is not going away quietly.

Nothing like a back-handed compliment,

It was a hybrid type "no huddle", more like an approach audible and some under center play action. Here we see how this offense will operate at its strongest. Flacco played Elite and he was more than good enough today! Beautiful. Defense nice job mixing it up, used some of the young guys and rotated well. One critique, Powers you need to stay on your toes, don't get caught flat footed and let the receiver get behind you with room. Its happened more than once this year!

i very much agree. Big time players must make big time plays. When 30 players do it, this is what it looks like!

Good observation! Powers is a weakness. When they see him in they attack! But this can be a good thing because Webb should now know what to do always help over the top on Powers side? Never leave him one on one! wright is the same way! Now my little gem Young! Beasty Boy! I was scared when I saw him go down?

This is how it should be! So many weapons the other team cant really say who is getting the ball? Noticed Aikens now gets a lot of third down calls when Smith used to get them all. Heck 84 Waller sneaks in there ever more often now. On paper our offence is the Bomb and today it looked like it exploded!!!??? Man I hope this is a sign of more to come?

Hello everyone I see there are only 11 comments on this subject which is a little disappointing? However, todays game was a fine example when 11 men (offense-defense) come together as a complete unit working like a fine oiled machine. Today does not mean that there is not room for improvements those are always needed but it did show us that what is on paper can actually perpetuate on the Football field? it was nice to see The Ravens offense finally show what we all knew they were and are capable of.

The defense showed their butts and rightfully so they were a healthy starting cast! Our D is starting to become deep with young players. One stand out to mention would be Tavon Young! For a second I held my breath as I thought the injury bug was attacking us again! What a relief to see him in the second half. I strongly confess our D goes how Tavon goes? That's not to say he is our best D player but he makes it easy for our safeties to cover else where? Example (Webb covering behind Powers?) the results? Joe reading the I pad? the results? Joe talking to Wallace about mistake?I was impressed to see this and this is how you do it!. OC has added flavor to our O! Good job really want to believe history repeats it self from latter years and December brings us tidings of great JOY!!!!!

Well our run defense looks pretty darn good and Flacco looked comfortable. Until we get another safety to replace Webb and an outside corner to compliment Smith, our secondary will still be a weakness. However, we did play well. Should be interesting to see how the rest of the season pans out. We will know next week whether this game was a fluke or if we may be an actual contender? So much inconsistency to take too much from from one game. If our O Line keeps protecting Flacco and our defense stands stands pat it should be interesting to see where the season goes. Too bad the Steele's won, but the Giants suck, and I can't believe Eli has two Superbowl titles. Kinda reminds me of Flacco ( has that dumb look on his face when ever he makes stupid plays) lol. Imagine if we had an OBJ and Levon Bell on our roster. I still don't think we are a super bowl contenders due to an inadequate run game and too much inconsistency from our quarterback. But this is the NFL, I suppose anything can happen. Little concerning the Ducasse beats out Urschel and Jenson who many people were high on, but I guess the best player plays, also concerning that Alex Lewis beat all three of those guys out and he is a 5th round rookie, which shows a severe lack of depth on the line. Lack of play makers will hurt us in the long run, we really need some guys to step up. Max Williams and Correa have been extreme disappointments as well as Perriman. But what do I know, I have said some things on here that were completely false and I eat my words and other times I am completely right.

Webb has been clueless for years now. And good corners are as hard to find as good quarter backs. Kinda like in base ball everyone needs starting pitching and in the NFL everyone needs starting corners. Very few teams have them. Hot commodity, better nail one in the first round or just get plain out lucky.

Was a good game. Stay humble. This game is done and in the books. Time to take care of business on the road in Gillette stadium. Take note, if this offense can build a lead, this defense can certainly close out games. Pats game is very winnable if everyone comes to play for each other. Be ready to deal with a noisy stadium and unruly fans.

Webb didn't look clueless on that INT.. Wright is the clueless one.

Great game that we all have been waiting for. A total team effort that was a treat to watch yesterday. They Played like Ravens yesterday for sure. Now ride that wave right into Foxboro and knock off the Brady Bunch. That Steelers game on Christmas afternoon will be huge for the players and the fans. Bring it on.

Breakout Game! This team finally played a complete game and dominated throughout. No better way to go into Foxborough than riding a high like this.
Lets just hope this is the beginning of something great.

I've never seen our receivers be so open, so often. From my Lazy Boy, it was hard to tell if it was our guys finally finding holes or if it was Miami just playing very soft D but either way, we exploited it. Our D, did their jobs all day long, our O line was on point by keeping Joe upright and Joe definitely looked happy during and after the game. I almost shed a tear many times during that game and for once, they were tears of joy! :-) I'm sure it was a great moral booster for the team. Mornhinwig did his homework for this game for sure and he has an extra day to come up with another game plan for NE.
The really great news is, beside the awesome win, we came out of this game healthy and have an extra day to rest (and watch tape) before heading out to Gillette.
GO RAVENS!!!

im not sure where you saw that but it must have been a typo. He measured in at 6'4 at the combine
