I really hope Pees changes things up drastically and gives a lot of new looks, his own take on 'organized chaos'  Nothing more would I love to hold the pats to 10 points, but I know BB will have some tricks up his sleeves and that's what worries me.  We need to really bring heat on Brady early on and get a good hit on him.  If it is a rainy day, im not very confident in our chances.

Pees always seems to have something special for Brady and the Pats. Knows them better than just about any DC in the league. And, unlike our last 2 matchups with them ('13 regular season and '14 playoffs) we have the personnel and talent to implement exactly what he wants to do.

Man, this is going to be a great game. Tons of pressure. Tons of playoff implications for both. Tons of recent history. Tons of talented playmakers with big personalities.

This might just be the best prime time NFL game of the season the way its shaping up.

LeGarrette Blount is having a career year and at 1,000 yards and like 3rd in rushing..Dion Lewis is starting to look healthy and like himself again (dynamic in open field and passing game), James White is also one of the league's best receiving backs... Martellus Bennett is always a threat and Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell look like they are rising stars... and of course Edelman in the slot will always present a lot of problems for defense... plus even with Gronk, Tom Brady is Tom Brady and an MVP Candidate who just accomplished 201 wins, most ever by a QB that some how gets overlooked... still in my mind the best team in the conference... especially with Tom at QB and Bill Belichick driving the ship .. that staff is unbelievable and the defense... like 2nd overall in pts allowed, nothing misleading about that.. the numbers are there to show for it.... Baltimore has a tough task ... Flacco looked excellent vs Miami by the way and that rush defense with Suggs and co is the real deal... good game coming up

Not a big fan of FPI or these statistics, but it shows there is a 31% swing in the chance the Ravens make playoffs with win vs. loss @ Patriots.

that seems like a lot given that even if the ravens lose they still control their own destiny - if they lose against the pats an win the other 3 games they literally cant not win the division

Yeah, my guess is because the wildcard is factored in.  I think it implies that if we beat the Pats, then lost to Steelers (but beat Eagles and Bengals..games in which I expect us to be slightly favored), then we'd be 10-6 and still have a decent shot at the wildcard.  Lose this one and the Steelers game, and the wildcard is a lot less likely at 9-7

I really want us to win this game. Its almost set up for us to win. Were hot and healthy and theyre banged up. The only thing they have keeping them from being one demensional is their running game. We should win this game

I dont see us losing this game. I really dont. They have so many issues we really cant let this game get away from us. We hold all the advantages except for the home feild and we all know flacco plays well in new england. Cmon ravens!!!!! We can do this!!!!

Ask Patriots fans how good they think their Defense is. They'll be the first to admit it's a liability. Now, theyve started to get some contributions from role players and theyre improving, but still not good.

I think the points against stat is a little misleading, because there are multiple things that go into that. As they sometimes say, the best defense can be a great offense. The Pats move the ball efficiently and therefore help limit the opportunities the opposing offense will have. So, conversely, a defense good enough to get some stops will help paint a more true picture.

On top of that, the Patriots offense converts in the red zone. They score TDs. That puts the opposing offense in a position to have to throw the ball more, take more chances, eschew FG's to try and convert 4th downs, etc... I dont have specific stats that speak to this (dont feel like doing the research) and it may not be a huge factor, but id imagine it certainly plays a part. So, this will give their D more opportunities to get off the field without surrendering any points... more opp's to get stops.

Their D surrenders a lot of yards. You can move the ball on them. It's a matter of putting the points up when you get in the red zone. The key will be scoring TD's when we have the opportunity, and not getting in a hole early so we can take the FGs when we're there and not have to play catch up.

If our defense can do their job and keep the Pats out of the end zone... stops are great but we have to limit them to FG's when they do move the ball... we SHOULD be able to move the ball on them. Need to get at least FG's when we cross mid-field (which we should be able to do frequently) and then get TD's when we get deep in the red zone.

Now this is an outstanding rebuttal reply. Well thought out. Bold- I hope you're right about their D. But much of my post was about the weather. Some posters wanted to know what 10 years ago has to do with anything. The point I was making about that is 10 years ago, I personally witnessed the advantage that the Pats have playing at home in the rain. It's supposed to rain there Monday night. That makes it a defensive game. I hope you are right. If the Ravens can beat New England away, then I believe that we have a chance to run the table.

How and they are 10-2? Have the number 2 rated defense, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick?.. that was a very assanine statement considering their track record, success, present day success, and ability to overcome injury. .and much better record.. "dont see us loosing this game".. you must be blind high worse than method and redman

And where do you get your defensive ratings from Mr Football Knowledge? Dr Seuss? The Cardinals have the 2nd "ranked" defense, your asterisks are ranked 9th. Also there is nothing "assanine" about a Ravens fan expressing a positive thought about Ravens on a Ravens Community Board, so don't get all upset about it.

He's referencing PPG allowed. Patriots are tied with the Ravens as #2 there, at 17.3 PPG allowed.
