Hey NFL scheduling committee: For the next 5 years have the Pats play in M & T.   I am sick of facing the Pats in their place All The Time.

Win our division this year and it looks like you'll get your wish (for 2017 at least).  Ravens play an AFC East team next year at home that finishes in the same spot in their division.

They played in Baltimore in 2013...?

This will be the toughest matchup of the season. With or without Gronk, the Patriots know how to use all their playmakers. The good news is both Cincinnati and Philidelphia are skidding more than we originally thought at the beginning of the season. And that Week 16 match up against the Steelers will be the deciding factor of the division. Even if the Ravens lose in Gillette, they can beat the Steelers and hold the tie breaker. Hopefully the offense builds off of last week.

We've now moved up to #6 on ESPN's power rankings, up from #13 last week. Quite a jump. And in the explanation it even says don't fall too hard for Flacco's performance until he does it again. So i guess theyre basing it on the strength of our D and ST.

We're one spot behind the Steelers (#5) and four behind the Pats (#2).

Was surprised to see us getting that sort of ranking; though not surprised to see the Steelers one spot above.

Even had us ranked above the Chiefs. The only NFC team we're ranked lower than are the Cowboys and Seahawks. Pretty interesting.

To be honest the Chiefs should be higher and the Steelers should be lower. The Ravens smacked the Steelers and have a 4-0 division lead. The Chiefs look like a solid all-around team that comes to play in the moments they need to. I still see a lot of weaknesses on that Steelers team.

I agree, but the rankings are what they are for 2 reasons:  1) The media LOVES the Steelers.  2) The Steelers beat down the Chiefs 43-14 in Week 4.  Therefore, the media has an excuse (and actually a pretty decent one) to put the Steelers ahead of the Chiefs

The Steelers (and Patriots) will always get the benefit of the doubt in these pointless power rankings because the media loves them.

Yeah and I understand it is like the Cowboys in the NFC. Even though for once they deserve some hype (I was so tired hearing each year they would go all the way and end up at .500 or below).

Everyone needs to be the biggest Bills fans this week.

This may be a really dumb question but if we beat the pats head to head does that give us the 2nd seed in the afc if we win the division it does record matter more then head to head? I figure record does but idk

It would only give us the #2 seed if we beat the Pats and end with the same record as them.  If they have even one more win, they get the #2 seed

Nope. The only way head to head would come into play is if we had the same record as the Pats at the end of the season. Much like if we finish with the same record as Pitt, we'd currently get the nod based on the head to head record.

We would need the Pats to fall to 11-5 and have the same record as us to get the 2 seed.

I love that the Ravens have developed a reputation amongst Patriots fans. Of course you have a few who still say silly things, but for the most part there is some respect as to how hard the Ravens play the Patriots. And for us, it's usually a measuring stick to where this team stands.

I might like the games against the Patriots more than the Pittsburgh games. Very close, but it's always a nice challenge and you know Billy has had this game circled for months and will probably throw a few loopholes at us.

And in 2012. Last two regular season games vs the Patriots were in Baltimore.

8 career games against the Patriots in the regular season. 4 at home, 4 on the road. Monday will be the 9th.

It would be the four PLAYOFF games in New England in the last six years that makes people think we only play them in NE. The solution to that, obviously, is to win more games than them in the regular season, so we are less likely to worry about that.

Looks like NFL.coms power rankings are on point with what I would expect/think.

We're #8 (right where we should be, imo) with the Steelers on our heels at #9 (again, right where they should be).

Chiefs at 5, Denver at 6, Lions at 7 right ahead of us... where I also think they should be.

Still, 8 puts us squarely in position of deserving a playoff spot, but with 3 AFCW contenders ahead of us that would speak for the 2 WC spots. The good news is, the Chiefs, Broncos and Raiders all play each other in their remaining games. The Raiders could do us a favor by knocking both of them off, and putting us in the race for a WC spot should we for some reason not win the division.

Things are shaping up. Time to knock NE off their pedestal. Would love to take their #1 seed away.

If you really want to instill fear.....bring back Bernard Pollard.  He's a free agent too!

Great point, forgot about Pollard. You put him in a uni and Brady automatically starts limping around. As Nurps stated: "#patriotkiller"

You may have to wait till Sat. for Mili's response to this. He's busy island hopping this week.

No matter who wins, it's going to come down to Justin Tucker having to kick a game winning FG for us. I see this being another nail biting game that comes down to the final minutes. My prediction, Tucker hits a 54 Yard Game Winning FG to win the game to further his GLORIOUS 2016 Season.

Ravens 31

Patriots 28

How about a new record.  Tucker kicks a 65 yard fg that hits the net to win the game.

Backwards and off both goal posts then goes in.

Not that it really matter much, but I feel like I have to say this every time we play the Pats.

By far and I really mean BY FAR the worst fans I have ever encountered have been pats fans.  Far beyond steeler fans, and that is saying something.  I can back that up by saying my wife is from the Boston area.  She still has family up there and we go up there usually once or twice a year.  I wear my Ravens stuff.  I have Raven plates on my truck and the bird in the window.  I get treated accordingly.  I know pats fans.  While most are like that I have encountered quite a few who have been cool , and that is not just family. ( Her brothers are WAY cool as are her parents )
So I fully realize I don't have to say it with this group, but I am saying it anyway.  There really are some cool pats fans out there.  Not a lot mind you. :)

I agree the Pats fans are pretty bad and they also like any fan base have very good fans as well.  My wife, like yours is from the Boston area, but mine (edit: I see yours is as well) is wearing Ravens merchandise on Sundays!

That being said, I think the Raiders and Eagle fans with the Hawks being not to far behind are the worst fan bases in the nation.

Ed Hochuli's crew to ref the game.  Just saw this on ESPN.com

Mike Reiss ESPN Staff Writer

Ed Hochuli has been assigned as referee for the Ravens-at-Patriots game on ESPN's "Monday Night Football" on Dec. 12. This is Hochuli's first Patriots game of the season. Given the recent history between the teams, with the Patriots using eligible receivers as ineligible to spark them to victory, the referee assignment for this game has some added meaning.

I see they are calling for 80% chance of rain in Foxborough for Monday. Could end up a mud fest with low scores possible.

I would LOVE to see Suggs, Doom, Judon, and company slamming pretty boy Brady down in the mud!
