Next Up: Ravens AT Patriots, Gillette Stadium, Monday December 12.

Flacco & his offense owe it to the fans and the defense to play every remaining game like it's a playoff game and put up some big numbers. Those first 11 games were inexcusable, particularly against WAS and NYJ  (heck, even the FORTY NINERS beat the Jets). Let's go, Joe- tonight is your chance to prove Sunday's game was no fluke and you are truly hungry for the playoffs.

yeah it seems weird to be scared of blount of any of the backs we've faced- hes not a guy who will shoot a gap - hes gonna try and break tackles and run through us which plays into the enormous size we have inside - my only worry is if he ends up trucking albert mclellan and tavon if he bounces outside

he's no ajayi

Oh gosh, just the thought of Tavon trying to tackle him. Tavon is a stud, don't get me wrong, but man would that be a task.

If there's any defense that can slow down Blount, it's the Ravens.

If the LBs can stay disciplined, they can get some big shots on Edelman- and I'm not super worried about Edelman yet- I don't think he goes anywhere without Powers getting extra coverage help. Bennett is my biggest worry and the receiving backs- I think they're an underrated part of the Patriots offense.

No doubt. For me, it's always the "catch-you-off-guard" offense that they do. I hope the defense stays alert at all times.

No unnecessary penalties please.

That's asking a heckuva lot but yeah- it's going to take nearly flawless execution to win this game.

the jets beat the niners - it was literally yesterday - but your point about us beating them is valid

I can't stress this enough, the Ravens have to play a clean game. No ridiculous retaliatory penalties...cough Steve Smith cough..

Otherwise, with the talent that the Ravens have there is no reason why they can't beat the Patriots or any other team.

 We have the better Online

We have the better D line

I'd take Pitta over Bennett at TE any day

We have more talent at Receiver

We have a better ST unit by far

With a healthy Jimmy Smith, I like our secondary more.

This is THE time for the Ravens to show it with production on the field.

I can't honestly give a prediction because who knows what kind of craziness can unfold in Gilette, however, any Pats fan who thinks this game won't be contested until the last drive will be in for a long night.

Can't see why you got negged for this..it's the truth. If you go back, Brady has at least two wins over us solely because we took penalties that gave him extra shots to cash in..he does more often than not.

im more worried about dion lewis and james white than blount

I definitely think that's a legitimate worry. That's a big reason the Ravens lost to the Jets- Forte scorched them a couple times. They did handle Bell pretty well out of the backfield though. It's going to be a big test for Mosley and Orr. The best thing the defense can do is hit Brady- maybe his only weakness is that he can get rattled sometimes. Tom's annual 3 Interception game hasn't happened yet, wouldn't be disappointed if it was tonight.

Calling it right now. Juice has at least 5 receptions this game and one for a td.

I think that'd unfortunately signal a reversion to the "conservative" play calling that every complained about though wouldn't it?

To be fair, that was such a sad flop by Burfict. Otherwise, I agree to a T.

After seeing that story on ESPN about that boy Logan... Ugh I will feel guilty cheering against his team. Did anyone else just watch it?

If we do lose, that'll make me feel better at least

Came on here to post about that and say the exact same. If we do lose tonight then at least Logan will be incredibly happy. No person, no kid should have to go through what he's going through.

I'll say this... I think with that poor boy in the sidelines tonight, our chances of winning dropped drastically. Brady is gonna be playing out of his mind for him.

But hey, life and death are much bigger than football. There are things far more important than us winning.

That is just terrible, I cannot imagine the fear and pain that he feels.

if your offense picked up last week and sure looked like it. This will be a great close game.  we'll see  how good our corners are, but if they hold their own, this could be a fun one.

never watch pregame or get into media melodrama  What matters if we need to win to get out of the "in the hunt" list.  What would be great is if brady sustained a career ending injury in this one.  that would be great and great melodrama

i never want players to get injured - i dont buy into pregame drama etc. because the ravens have their fan of the week thing as well - every team has one because there are so many people with heartwrenching issues etc all over the world

but to want a player to go down is horrible
