Good write and I think it just states what we all know here.  Pressure brady and get him out of his comfort zone.  I think we are going to see a big game from Suggs/Jernigan/Judon/Doom....

I know many here (me included) don't care for much of Jon Gruden's analysis. Here is a interview he did with the Sun where he has some good insight to tonight's game.

I can see Urban getting an increase in snaps but he would be taking them from some guys that are playing really well.

i cant wait for this late night - gonna be tucked up in bed with a broken heater watching way into the early morning - if im gonna freeze tonight - i would rather freeze in a celebratory posture rather than one of dejection

Establishing the run in this one would help us a TON. Feed Dixon.

Nah. Come out firing like the Miami game. Then West and Dixon wear them down!

Actually-i'll leave that for harbs marty and joe to figure out. Let's just find a way to scrape out a W in any way, shape, or fashion!  Please beat these cheaters!

Hello Ravens fans, I'll be honest not a ravens supporter. Just a Fantasy Football guy needing a little reassurance from a players fan base. In an emergency situation i had to use Brashard Perriman as a WR, I'm Down 14 points in a .5 point PPR league. Can i get a little reassurance from ravens fans, do i have any chance what so ever lol

Honestly I'd pick up Dixon if he's available I don't know how deep your league is but I know he's available in most 8-10 person leagues

Well, just a few hours away! Though we can afford to lose this game, it will put the pressure on us a lot more if we do lose. I'd love to see a win tonight over the Patriots!

This game is such a tough call.  I want the Ravens to win, but I was prepared to write this one off when the schedule came out.  With us neck and neck with the Steelers for the Division title, I am hoping to be wrong about our chances.

The O-line's ability to keep him upright and to give him time, along with Joe's "quick release" passing to open receivers against the Dolphins was a game changer offensively imo!  I really want to see more of that against the Patriots tonight.  Come out fast and maintain that pace and force "Cry-Brady" to keep up with us in scoring and not the other way around.  Defensively?  Play fast and smart and please stay in "Cry-Brady's" face!

I'll go out on the limb and say that the Ravens take the lead without looking back and finish them off.....

Ravens 28

Patriots 17

GO RAVENS!!!!!

Get ready to lose your **** then. The Ravens are penalty prone, and the refs will most definitely be in the Patriots' corner- they always are, unfortunately

Keep the refs out of this game.  If the yellow starts flying only towards big purple, its curtains.

Parity may come into this.  If the league really wants a wild play off race keeping the Ravens Chaos rolling in the thick of things, they'll get a wild ride!

Go Ravens!

I'm blaming you if we lose. How's THAT for going out on a limb?

yeah it might just be that im not in the US - the buildup is different when you are essentially going to bed to watch sport - i get more hyped over your normal 1pm games because they feel like they are the right time over here in the uk

I think this is going to be a very difficult game. The Pats defense is a lot better than the Dolphins. McCourty won't leave the middle of the field as vulnerable as the Dolphins did. I think that the Pats will have a plan to neutralize Pitta which will make things difficult for Joe. If the Ravens win this game, I think it will be because someone on offense stepped up (my left-field guess is Waller). I guarantee the Pats aren't taking this game lightly- they won't want to deal with Baltimore in the playoffs.

Blount is a different back than the Ravens have played all year, he brings more physicality than any RB the Ravens have played up to this point (aside from Zeke maybe). Stopping both the Run and the slot game will be a big task for Mosley and Orr. Weddle might be the make or break player on the defense this week though- Jimmy/Tavon can handle Hogan/Mitchell, but Edelman and Bennett are definitely going to be the focal points- Powers, Webb and Weddle should pay special attention to them this week, I really don't like the matchup on Bennett by any of our players- he brings a unique size/athleticism blend that isn't far off from a Gronkowski type.

But the Ravens have beaten better Pats teams than this, and if they can limit mistakes and stick through adversity (there are going to be turnovers and NE is going to hold a lead at points in the game) they can win this. It's a tall order, but they are capable.

That totally makes sense. Selfishly, I actually prefer the 1pm games, but obviously more people would have access to a SNF or MNF game compared to the 1pm or 4:15 games. For me, it's tough to get hyped when I almost anxious all the time (because I want the team to succeed so badly) so I rather not wait ANOTHER day for the anxiety to build up. Regardless, I still root for the Ravens through thick and thin no matter what time they play.

eric rowe is really notable as an inactive for the pats because there was a chance he could play - he's been one of their better corners - their secondary is starting to look more like ours from 2014 lol

The Pats would be foolish to take us lightly.

But to reply to what I bolded, my guess is Perriman. LOVED the speed he put on display last week. While I agree about Blount, I also recall the d-line shutting him down in the divisional game. I'd be very disappointed if he has a lot of success against us. Lastly, Edelman scares me the most. That's the LAST receiver I want to see breaking tackles.

yeah it seems weird to be scared of blount of any of the backs we've faced- hes not a guy who will shoot a gap - hes gonna try and break tackles and run through us which plays into the enormous size we have inside - my only worry is if he ends up trucking albert mclellan and tavon if he bounces outside

he's no ajayi

If there's any defense that can slow down Blount, it's the Ravens.

If the LBs can stay disciplined, they can get some big shots on Edelman- and I'm not super worried about Edelman yet- I don't think he goes anywhere without Powers getting extra coverage help. Bennett is my biggest worry and the receiving backs- I think they're an underrated part of the Patriots offense.
