Next Up: Ravens AT Patriots, Gillette Stadium, Monday December 12.

Sitting at work with my Ravens gear on, surrounded by Eagles fans.

Cant wait for the day to be over... tonight is gonna be a war. Mental and physical. I think both teams will be pushed to their limits.... may the best team win.

With the results of yesterday this game took on even more importance. Having to keep pace with the Steelers and now have an opportunity to get in the drivers seat for the WC spot. Another door to the playoffs opened just a crack, so its time to blast through it.

Time to shine Joe and Marty. Prove last week wasnt an aberration.

Defense - time to prove your #1 ranking is no joke. Shut down this Pats offense.

I agree, in fact I believe we hold the tie breaker over Denver and Tennesse at the moment, win this one and the next 2 of 3 and you're in. Drop this one and you're forced to win in Pitt.

I honestly have this as a must win.

Win this and all you have to do is beat Pitt, simple.

Not guaranteed, but pretty darn close.  Need 1 loss by Miami (@Jets, @Bills, vs.. Patriots) and 1 loss by Denver. (Patriots, @ Chiefs, Raiders)

Technically, we could still lose this one, the beat Eagles, Steelers, and Bengals and we would still win the division (but would have no margin for error).

I hate being a pessimist, but I have us with an L here. Brady and Bellicheck aren't the reasons why though. We seldom play amazing on prime time. Our offense looked good the last game but my worries are commitments to the run game. The defense should be great, but it's nothing Brady can't handle. We match up well with them, but they're just the better team.

We will meet them again in the postseason if we make it

I would totally agree with you if NE had beaten teams with winning records outside their division. The only teams they have beaten with a winning record is Miami and Pittsburgh (without Roethlisberger).

The Miami game was in wk2 before Ajayi got going. I assume that if Ben had been healthy, they may have not won that game or at least it would have been much closer. NE only won by 11 against the Steelers backup. The only other team they played with a winning record was Seattle, who they lost to.

They may have more wins but, they're really not any better than us because we beat Pitt and Miami as well. They just had a more favorable schedule with facing their own week division along with the NFC west and the AFC north.

Just a little sidenote: Both games that NE has lost this year came at the big razor.

Hello Ravens fans, I'll be honest not a ravens supporter. Just a Fantasy Football guy needing a little reassurance from a players fan base. In an emergency situation i had to use Brashard Perriman as a WR, I'm Down 14 points in a .5 point PPR league. Can i get a little reassurance from ravens fans, do i have any chance what so ever lol

Don't listen to these negative nancies. You're not likely to get many points on catches but Perriman can get you over the hump with two long ones and a TD. He's definitely capable and it wouldn't surprise me if he does just that.

He has not had a 14 point game this season in that format. He was close, once.

Not saying he can't, but you basically need 75 yards and a TD out of him to get that. I don't see that happening.

We need to get to Brady as quickly as possible. With Gronk out that limits their productiveness but also means they'll be looking to air it out to their WR's Jimmy and Tavon need to have a hell of a game against their respective assignments. The DB's need to STICK to their guys, we DONT need to be Edelman'ed again. Our offense needs to start QUICK! I hope PERRIMAN has himself a good game, this can be his coming out party. We can win this one and should. This is a must win game.

6 hours away boys. Time to find out If the ravens are for real... Takes 13 weeks to find out which is odd but surprisingly typical for this team.

LETS GO!

He could get that in one play man. I think that's more likely than him getting 3 or more catches lol

As you imply by saying our DBs have to "stick to their guy" ... we need to be all over their receivers off the line of scrimmage. When they squeaked by in the playoffs the last time we met, our pass rush was on fire going into the game and it was totally neutralized by quick passes. We played scared to death in the secondary, as our personnel was extraordinarily susceptible to receivers getting behind us. So we gave a cushion and Brady dink and dunked us to death - until the end of the game when he finally got a deep ball behind us. Our rush didn't stand a chance with the ball coming out in 2 seconds.

We have to make Brady hold the ball at least a little bit ... then we have to get to him. I don't expect them to even try to run the ball, but look to use their RBs as receivers coming out of the backfield.

This game has become even more critical given yesterday's results. I gotta stop thinking about it, or it will make me crazy. Trying to put it out of my mind until I sit down to watch the game.

Browns, Bengals, Steelers without Ben, Bills, Niners, Jets and Rams. Those are the teams NE has beaten since Brady came back.  Only loss came at home to Seattle.   Its a soft schedule and I think that favors the ravens tonight.  They havent played a decent team in a while and hopefully we can punch in the mouth early and maintain the lead.  Should be a great game!

Unfortunately I think our pass rush is lacking. Brady will probably have enough time today to throw deep. I am just hoping that our cbs will be ready when he misses his target.

I think it's gonna be a low scoring game probably whoever scores +20 wins the game.

He never said it was.

He was just stating that fact that this game is in no way a "must win" no matter how many times some say it.

Thanks for the input guys, Best of luck tonight! From a Lions fan, GO RAVENS

I feel so bad for Megatron. Played on some of the poorest teams in the NFL and as soon as he leaves, Stafford hits his stride and the Lions begin to live up to their potential.

Yea, but a lot of people think because Megatron left it forced Stafford to actually go through reads instead of just throwing it up.

I don't entirely agree. This is a change that began to happen last year and fully came on this year. Megatron had a good, but not massively dominant season last year and it was largely due to some major growth from Stafford.

I wish I had the stats, but Stafford really began to came on strong about midway through the season. Once it clicks for a guy, it just clicks. Hopefully that's what's happening with Flacco right now because that Dolphins game, outside of the one interception that he shouldn't have thrown, he was just throwing dimes and it was the best game I've ever seen from him.

Yea I wouldn't say I agree, but I heard a lot of commentators say it.  Also, there was a player on Colin's Cowherds show that really thought that was the reason, just cant remember the player.

Too much digression.  Please stick to the subject of tonight's game (and yes, we allowed the Perriman discussion because it does pertain to tonight's game).
