Adalius Thomas

Given all our injuries right now, I'm really missing Adalius Thomas. I've missed him ever since he went to free agency. that guy was a monster. He could play on the D-Line or drop back in coverage. He's going to waste in New England. They barely use him, and he's not nearly as effective there as he was with us. Oh what I wouldn't give to have AT back with us at a time like this.....anyone else?
Why is it that, Ozzie is a beast, but we always tend to lose them too fast?
So true, we lose them, but most always have someone good coming in behind them. Its just with such talented guys its hard to fathom seeing them play in another jersey. Its inevitable that one of our boys will be playing in another uni next season, and that is going to be heart breaking. I'm positive we'll hold on to Ray, but I can't fathom Suggs or Scott blowing guys up and not wearing black and purple! How awful will it be when we eventually play against them and they're coming after Flacco!! NOOOOOOOOOOO

but even before he was injured he wasn't living up to his potential. They would have him on the bench a lot, and wouldn't let him really show off his full range of skills

Hey, why dwindle on the past?

How good do you think we'd be if we had'nt suffered all of the injuries this year. We're in the AFC championship game? What else could you ask for?

Adalius was on the team in 2006 and we lost in the divisional round of the playoffs.

I think we're doing just fine without him.

The basic point is that it was hard to see him go. Yes we're fine without him, but I can't help it, I miss AT!! I don't want to wind up posting something like this next year about Hot Sauce or Bart Scott. I think Scott is gone for sure, I'll always remember him killing Big Ben, you're my boy Bart!

The Patsies really were not using him right. He's so versatile. Just another player who excelled in the Ravens system and failed other places

Also, Mike Nolan, Marvin Lewis, Jack Del Rio.

Too much credit given to Rex Ryan. When he goes to the Jets, we will maintain our defense.

2006
Adalius Thomas
83 tackles, 11 sacks, 1 Safety, 6 Passes Defended, 1 INT

Ray Lewis
103 tackles, 5 sacks, 6 passes defended, 3 INT

Adalius is a monster, but he's no Ray Lewis

Sure, we miss AD but man I miss Pete Boulware. He was our BEST pass rusher and a heck of a guy!

I'm not going to discount Rex being a good head coach, but we won't be losing much of anything. We've been fine without Nolan, Del Rio, Lewis, Singletary, and a few others.

Boulware was the man!
Jeez, looking back, it's amazing how many pro bowl caliber LB'ers got their start here

AT isn't the only player that has excelled in the Ravens' defense, left in FA, gotten great deals from other teams, and not produced. A few names that comes to mind: Ed Hartwell, Will Demps..

I was quite concerned when A.T whent to the Pats, but IMO J.J has definately steped it up and is filling that position very nicely. He will only get better in this syatem. B)

A.D. was pretty much a system player. He did great in our system with our exotic blitzes and zone coverage schemes for the linebackers, but when he left to go to New England, he became an average pass rusher and an average drop coverage linebacker. He is nowhere near the player he was here. That said, I do miss him because he was phenomenal in our system and he would be a big asset today. I like J.J., but he is not the complete player that A.D. was.

its just a sad aspect of the salary cap you can only hold on to so many great players. maybe things will be better in an uncapped year well see.
