Joe Flacco improve? He's in normal "regular season" form. He only plays what his contract value is during the "playoffs". So the running game, defense and Justin Tucker must play well to get us to playoffs then Joe will play elite.

So?

So,after 9 yrs we ought to stop making EXCUSES for what Joe is and accept that he is an avg q and he is also going to be the ravens q for the next few yrs. Let s stop pretending otherwise. Let s not discuss Flacco further,we know all there is to know about him. The fans, coaches and media should focus more on other aspects of team. I would say the offensive line .

I guess the elite debate faded really really fast lmao

Just wondering when we are going to start using our best offensive players in order to score more. Wallace. Perriman and Pitta. These guys do NOT get near
enough targets. We spent money on Wallace and Pitta and Perriman is a first
round draft pick. What did they get on Sunday like seven or eight targets. Why do
we not go to our best players? Mind boggling.

This is a one game over exaggeration. Pitta gets more than enough targets (excited for a Gilmore return). Perriman missed an entire season, camp, and pre-season. It seems pretty obvious he is still adjusting while playing behind SSS and Wallace. Most days, SSS and Wallace get a normal workload. SSS gets 7-10 targets usually and Wallace avgs 7. Wallace is not someone you force feed the ball, he is not a someone who runs great routes, makes contested catches or someone who continually beats man to man coverage. A 5 catch day with large chunk gains is perfect.
So while Sunday was unusual (cincy also played a lot of man and 2 high safeties), their involvement in game planning has been normal

Get more play makers. The Baltimore Sun reporter said it best. Until the Ravens get a couple play makers on each side of the ball, we will always be a mediocre football team and it will show up big time when we play good football teams like we did in Dallas. Hopefully next year our rookies will emerge and we can nail a couple come draft day

not confident about Ozzie Newsome's ability to get talented players. He had a good run but it's time to get some impact players in the draft.

I just love the Yanda move to LG, it brings stability to that side of the line, and is a great help for Stanley, it's these subtle moves that don't get a ton of press that have really worked out for us......3 weeks with the same line, and i expect to see continued improvement in the run blocking and pass protection.....very exciting time for this team IMO.....

very good point about Yanda being beside Stanley!

zutta seemed to play better last weekend but need more from him.

Truth be told, Doom was greatly missed! We got no dang pass rush without him and Sizzle. And frankly, I really believe we needs to BLITZ a whole a lot more! Look at what TB did to Russell Wilson. They had 5-6 players rushing on every 3rd down. Seattle finally got their first 3rd down conversion with 3 mins left in the game! Go figure!

NEED*

thought 57 was supposed to be an edge rusher. He may be still developing but so far an ok player but can't cover a receiver....always trailing the receivers.

Can't people see, that the secondary is suspect and we don't have many take away's, Flacco is off entirely too much, too many missed throws to receivers and too many interceptions, and does he ever take responsibility for that!!! It's time for Flacco to look in the mirror and fix himself before he starts to talk about the rest of the team, because three and out does not help anything and keeps the defense on the field entirely too long!!! Making to the playoffs is one thing but making to the Superbowl is something entirely different!!!

Why do we keep getting short people to play cornerback, because Jimmy Smith is out more than he plays, and I don't think he will last too much longer, Young can't play Brown, Bryant, Beckcum, nor Green, that's been proven so many times this year!!! He's not fast enough nor athletic enough to handle these big time receivers and it seems like no one else on the team can do that either, why can't we get what we truly need to make a good run!!! We had the chance before the year started when we should have picked what we truly needed during the draft but Ozzie and Harbaugh did something else, and we had the chance during free agency, but folks were cheap, so here we are today, I guess we reaped what we sowed hu!!! Now the defensive line seems to be fine, but the secondary and parts of the offense is just out of wack, and I truly hope that can be changed, but mindsets need to be changed first!!!

C'mon man! Jimmy missed 0 games last year and 2 this year. Far from being out more than he plays!

I agree with those four points but I would add that our offensive play calling has yet to find the appropriate rhythm. We see flashes of it but it is still just a hair away from being consistent, unpredictable and targeted. So close I can taste the SB...
Go Ravens!!!

Pretty simple, win 1 more game than Pit or sweep them and even ending up with the same record we win the tie breaker.....

Remember I said this. If we drop this game to the Dolphins, the Ravens will finish 8-8...9-7 at best. It's not all on Joe, but he's an easy target because he is paid to like an elite player. I see the same Flacco, with the exception on Kubiaks year here.

This team is missing an identity. We use to be a smash mouth, run the ball down your throat offense, with a solid or sometimes great defense. We don't Run the ball nearly as much as we should and we are often running out of the shotgun. I miss the days of bruising fullbacks in the I formation, but Juice doesn't have that blocking characteristic in him.

It's a different game these days, I find it hilarious watching old Ravens games even as late as 2009. Watching Mcclain and Lorenzo Neal run around lol

But yes, this is a must win game with NE and Pitt coming up and Flacco needs to be extremely efficient sunday. How well we run the ball will play a huge role.
Also, MIA averages 109yd/game rushing since their bye and AJayi's breakout... so I feel the front 7 can withstand the MIA ground game.

Simple in theory, but means we likely need to go 5-1 maybe 4-2 (and beat Pitt) in this 6 game stretch

They blitzed like crazy against Dallas and got burned every single time.

Zuttah has been playing really well. It is difficult for me to believe that you are able to evaluate an offensive lineman if you don't even know that #57 (a former first round draft pick and pro bowler) is an inside linebacker

Your quotes are wrong dude, I didn't say this.
