Nevermind, I just saw that he was referring to the Ravens also beating Philly at home ...

Joe Flacco improve? He's in normal "regular season" form. He only plays what his contract value is during the "playoffs". So the running game, defense and Justin Tucker must play well to get us to playoffs then Joe will play elite.

I just love the Yanda move to LG, it brings stability to that side of the line, and is a great help for Stanley, it's these subtle moves that don't get a ton of press that have really worked out for us......3 weeks with the same line, and i expect to see continued improvement in the run blocking and pass protection.....very exciting time for this team IMO.....

Good I am not the only one to see this error make it to the press.

If you read the text in front of it, I believe he means if the Ravens win their remaining home games vs. Dolphins and Eagles, that would push their win total to 8....Granted, it definitely was a bit confusing how he worded it by sticking the parentheses in there stating we are favored by 3.5 over the Dolphins

"The Ravens must become road warriors. Their November wins all came at home, where they’ll play the Miami Dolphins Sunday and the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 18. If the Ravens truly are playoff contenders, they’ll find a way to keep holding serve at home. (They’re favored by 3½ points Sunday against a Miami team on a six-game winning streak.) That would push their win total to eight, but they’ll need more, bringing into focus the importance of their remaining road contests at New England, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati – all tough spots. The Ravens have to win at least once and maybe twice, no easy feat for a team that is 10-19 on the road since the Super Bowl."

Yeah, they won't face anything that they haven't seen....AND LOST. With only5 games left, why does Flacco have to "raise his game"? He isn't some rookie. His game should have been raised all along. It has not and that is why the Ravens are where they are. He was mostly ineffective last week too if you discount the first series. Scoring one TD a game is not "raising one's game".

Just wondering when we are going to start using our best offensive players in order to score more. Wallace. Perriman and Pitta. These guys do NOT get near
enough targets. We spent money on Wallace and Pitta and Perriman is a first
round draft pick. What did they get on Sunday like seven or eight targets. Why do
we not go to our best players? Mind boggling.

So...as in the Ravens need to rely on other sources to get to the dance, and THEN, supposedly, Joe will crawl out of his hole of mediocrity and put the team on his back. At least that's what is expected.

It's OK. Don't get offended. Not everyone here has purple, Joe Flacco underoos like you do.

Joe needs to take what the opposing defense gives him plane and simple. Stop forcing the big play. Just execute and the big plays will come. And for gods sake, feed Dixon 20-25 times a game.

I'm watching Miami vs 49ners and Miami has two huge receivers that Ravens secondary are going to have one heck of a time to bring down. Miami also has a big running back but the Defensive line should handel him if Joe can get Miami to play from behind.

2 of the 4 items that were related to health. I'd throw in a 3rd. Doom. Suggs can't do it all. We really need a pass rush to complement the excellent run D and the solid, but not great, secondary. That allows us to pick up wins, without the offense setting the world on fire. We can say that the offense needs to progress, but I'm not holding out hope that there is going to be a sudden light going on. We need a dominating defense to get to the postseason and to make noise there.

Really, with a healthy Jimmy, Doom and O line, we can become road warriors. Without them, I don't see it happening. Expecting all your key players to stay healthy through the season is a lot to ask for, I know. But for us it is the only path to success. We just don't have the depth required to weather through any key injuries.

Truth be told, Doom was greatly missed! We got no dang pass rush without him and Sizzle. And frankly, I really believe we needs to BLITZ a whole a lot more! Look at what TB did to Russell Wilson. They had 5-6 players rushing on every 3rd down. Seattle finally got their first 3rd down conversion with 3 mins left in the game! Go figure!

He said if we defeat the Dolphins and the Eagles at home it will push the win total to 8...he just worded it confusing

We control our own destiny, one game at a time. It began last week with beating the Bengals, now we need to destroy the Phins.

So,after 9 yrs we ought to stop making EXCUSES for what Joe is and accept that he is an avg q and he is also going to be the ravens q for the next few yrs. Let s stop pretending otherwise. Let s not discuss Flacco further,we know all there is to know about him. The fans, coaches and media should focus more on other aspects of team. I would say the offensive line .

Get more play makers. The Baltimore Sun reporter said it best. Until the Ravens get a couple play makers on each side of the ball, we will always be a mediocre football team and it will show up big time when we play good football teams like we did in Dallas. Hopefully next year our rookies will emerge and we can nail a couple come draft day
