Pretty much a no brainer with Tavon. Had Stanley stayed on the field I'm guessing he would be right there with him.

As Dog mentioned, it's nice that there are so many quality rookies to choose from.

I vote Tavon. I think he's the best rookie cornerback this year. He's almost too good at anticipating plays to the point he's getting PI calls. The PIs he's been getting it's like holy crap he knew it was coming and he's making the play prematurely.

I still have it debatable whether he's a top 5 rookie corner this year. Rough last few games are gonna weigh him down.

Well initially I thought this would be an easy win for Stanley but Tavon Young  has performed the

best out of the rookies this year.

I would go with Pierce.

You just don't expect a rookie DT at like 330 pounds from a D2 school to play this well, but he and Williams form an immovable wall that stonewalled Dallas's interior (the best in the NFL, I might add) AND he's adding pass rush.

In every game except for Dallas, we won when Ronnie was in, but Tavon is playing lights out and has so much swagger. It's a tie for me. This class looks like gold with Judon as well and I hope Bronson can become a solid DE.

*EDIT* because Pierce

Dixon's ability to avoid the first tackler is incredible. There were several times when it seemed like a Cincy player had him in the backfield only for him to get away. Once the interior o-line is patched up and he's able to get into the open field more, he's going to be a really high yards per carry guy.

dixon had some incredibly impressive runs for no gain that did him no credit because the odds were against him even before he got the ball

Correa. solved all out pass rush issues. great second round pick

lol.... I think he will be fine with time and experience. I also think they knew he would be somewhat of a project.

I'm just glad we can legitimately argue with each other over this. What an amazing draft we pulled off seven months ago.

I'm going with Stanley.

Just from the standpoint of the drop off between him and his substitute. I know it is tempting to pick Young - and I'd say he was the best value pick of our draft. If we have Jimmy, but Tavon is out, the secondary will take a bit of a hit ... but our O line was a wreck without Stanley.

I'd say he's the 4th most irreplaceable player on the team, behind Joe, Siz and Jimmy. You could even argue 3rd over Jimmy.

I had to say Stanley, I love Tavon as much as the next guy but he's been pretty exploited the past couple weeks without Jimmy (against Dallas it was mainly Wright, but he gave up a few as well, against the Bengals he was really targeted all game long and held up pretty well but gave up a few and had a few PIs), he'll be a solid starter moving forward though. As bad as our oline has been this season, it's night and day compared to when Stanley was out, all rookie LTs have their fair share of struggles but Stanley has played well overall and he's playing pretty much the second most important position on the team. The only rookie that's been consistently above average has been Pierce but, to be fair, he isn't getting as much a sample size as Stanley and Tavon, and having BWill takes the pressure off him.

For me, personally, it's Stanley > Tavon > Pierce > Lewis > Dixon = Judon (Dixon is just now getting significant snaps and is showing up, Judon has had flashes of great play but now that Doom is back his snaps are heading south, right now I'll just have them equal)

I for the most part agree with you, but I think I would switch Lewis and Pierce....Lewis being able to swing out to LT when we REALLY needed him was key.  Pierce has been very good, but limited snaps.  Lewis (when healthy) is an everydown starter.

I have Pierce over him because, as I said, he's been the only rookie that's been playing well above average all season long whereas Lewis had his struggles early in the year, especially in the run block department - and he wasn't a very good LT, he just got the benefit of following Hurst, and after Hurst pretty much anyone would look like Ogden. Right when Lewis was really starting to play well he got hurt, so I just think Pierce is more proven than Lewis, though I'm excited enough about both of them moving forward.

Fair enough.  Definitely an argument for both of them.  Nice job by Ozzie and company in this draft and UDFA cycle.  It's awesome to be having these discussions!

Apparently Correa and his wife are members of the forums (unless you have another explanation of how he got two votes lol)

Expectations on Stanley was being a stud so I am not that impressed by what he is doing. But no-one expected Young to play like this. That's why Young deserves it more imo. I also feel like at the end of the year we will be talking more about Dixon.

You can make an argument for Stanley or Young at this point.

I think when it is all said and done Dixon will be the name you'll see. He looks to be warming up... I wouldn't be surprised to see some monster games out of him these next couple weeks as long as the offense commits to running the ball. Stop running shotgun draws.

I just don't see Dixon being considered the Ravens rookie of the YEAR.  I hope he has a great end of the season and helps us to a playoff run...he has definitely shown flashes...Time will tell.  However, with limited production (albeit due to injury) in the first 11 games, I wouldn't consider him the Rookie of the YEAR unless he was absolutely spectacular the rest of the way...probably 100+ yards in every remaining game.  Gotta be Stanley or Young.  I lean towards Stanley because we have seen what the line looks without him.  Obviously, if we are talking value based on draft position/UDFA status, you would have to give the edge to Young, Judon, and of course Pierce.

People are saying Stanley because we haven't won a game when he's been out. Have you guys watched all of our games? Our offense has been horrible the whole year. So him being in there or not didn't really have that big of an affect.

While some will say that his replacements were bad. Does it really matter that they are if the offens, as a whole is still terrible? I could also argue that there are some games that Stanley has played worse than his replacements would.

This isn't a slight at Stanley, because he is a rookie and bumps are to be expected. But the argument that we don't win because he isn't in the lineup is a severely poor one.

Again that is why I said I see monster games out of him here soon. He has been getting bigger gains each game. He is so versatile. I think he will propel the team these last 5 games.

I'll go with Young. With Jimmy out Young had tougher assignments. Not many guys who can guard a Dez Bryant at 5'9. Last two games have been shaky but that's life of a rookie CB. He's been an important piece of this defense.
