Jimmy practicing again today :)

Buck Allen, Lewis, Gillmore, Taliaferro not practicing.  Anybody know what Allen's injury is?  (Suggs and Zuttah vet day off)

No surprises there.

Not sure what the deal with Allen is, but honestly it doesn't matter. He's just a ST player at this point and won't see the ball on offense.

Early indications are that the Dolphins don't expect Parker to play in this game, so will likely see Jimmy on the outside matched up with Kenny Stills and probably either Powers or Young in the slot against Landry.

Gronk should be out for the Patriot game.

I deserve a warning from a mod on this, very off topic. At least it's the same division as the dolphins !!!

Just escape this game healthy. Please.  The big one is next week :)

In some ways, you could argue this one is bigger than the Pats game.  If we lose this, any hope of WildCard basically goes out the window because Miami would have tiebreak.  Obviously, winning the division is the preferred path, but wildcard is still a possibility if we win this one.

100% the MIA game is bigger. I like our chances against MIA rather than @NE.. making this a must win.

Having Gilmore would be cool but he's unreliable. Lets hope things go well against the Dolphins. Jimmy practicing is great. Our Defense will need to be on its A game from here on out. Looks like the Dolphins are getting Tunsil back for the game while Parker is looking unlikely. Gonna be a good game. Should be a win. Hoping Perriman has a good game. Our offense REALLY needs to decide to score.

I feel like the Dolphins and Steelers are both due for a win against us. I know that logic doesn't correlate because even a year can represent significant changes to a team, but I'm worried a little.

Spot on, the offense needs to hit its stride now, this is the final stretch. Let's get hot and make a run, and let's have a breakout performance for @Militant X 1

Buck's injury is labels as a non-football injury

Dixon had more snaps last week than West (31 to 23), how much longer do you think it'll be until Dixon is just starting outright

I agree Mia is the biggest game of the season cuz we should win this type of game plus a tie breaker for wild card spot.  We just cant go 0-2 in 2 weeks......

The Dolphins beat Baltimore last season if it makes you feel any better.

They haven't won in Baltimore since Miami was coached by Johnson though.

Our O has looked good on the opening drive the past couple games. Wish they would do that a couple times a game! Seams like everything that works during that opening drive gets immediately abandoned for the rest of the game.

I don't know if I trust Powers on Landry. I'd rather just have Jimmy shadow him and force them to throw at anyone else. Tavon will lockdown Stills, but after those two Corner's, it's fair game for any offense and their other WR's

I think you're really disrespecting how good Landry is, sure he's dealt with some injuries this year, but pair him up Powers or Young then we'll have a rough day trying to stop him. I can understand the idea that Jimmy should be on Parker, but if Parker is out then all bets are off, Jimmy should be covering Landry.

Be sure to be in your seats early, as The Commemorative Air Force Capital Wing will perform a flyover with four WWII era planes

This week’s Legend of the Game, G Edwin Mulitalo, will lead the Ravens to the field.

landry has not been as good a receiver as his numbers indicate - a lot of his touches especially in his first 2 years were manufactured by the scheme hence why his production and play has fallen off this year since the offense doesnt revolve around him

and it makes no sense to compromise the defensive gameplan by having jimmy follow when landry is not the type of receiver jimmy traditionally follows - landry is no more of a threat than antonio brown or odell beckham who jimmy didnt follow

i imagine jimmy will take the right and tavon the left, swing the safety help towards tavon's side and the slot

the less jimmy moves the easier it is to drop the linebackers into the zone system where all 4 of mosley and orr's picks have come from

Oh yea that's right, the Daniel Brown OPI and Schaub pick six game.

I had it erased from my memory, damn, that was rough.

This is the type of fire we need heading into the final stretch of the season.

Please......Lets give them a real game; unlike last year where we spotted them 15 points and lost by 2.  This game is in our favor only because it is home.  We gotta win as the Steelers can lose to the Giants in their house.

We have the #2 overall defense second to the Cards.  The Dolphins are ranked #20. Looks like we should see our D emerge and control

They are ranked 20th because their run "D" is so bad at 30th. Their pass"D" is right up there with ours ranking 3 spots behind the Ravens.

1. Jimmy becomes a much different and likely less effective corner if he's forced into the slot for the entire game.

2. As is the case with most defensive packages we play, its not going to be one corner shadowing another receiver all over the field.

No different than with Antonio Brown. He moves all over the formation, and plays in the slot often against us. Yet, he doesn't have anywhere near as impressive of numbers against the Ravens as he does against other teams. Jimmy isn't following him around. He's lined up opposite other less effective corners plenty of times.

Landry isn't anywhere near the caliber of WR that I'd put to take my boundary corner and move him down into the slot to cover. If Landry lines up outside a lot, sure, I'd put Jimmy on him. But if he's in the slot most of the game, it would probably be a lot of combinations, mostly involving linebacker or safety help. Same way we cover Brown.

Also, if you go back and look at Landry vs the Ravens the last two years...

2014: caught 6 for 55 yards. Not a bad game, but not overly impressive either. Jimmy didn't play in that game.

2015: caught 2 for 5 yards. Basically wasn't even there. Jimmy did play in that game, though have no idea if he spent his time covering Landry or not, but my guess is not often.

I'm not saying he won't have a good game against us, but based on his recent usage and track record, I'm not banking on it. Parker being out probably increases his target rate significantly, but still think the Dolphins are going to have to run the ball effectively if they're going to beat us.
