there are 4+ wr packages which need 4 corners.

if shareece wright is your 4th corner, you have a pretty good situation.

the problem arises when your number 1 corner goes down, then everyone jumps around and suddenly wright and pwoers have way too much play time lol

and we will definitely have to play 4 corners (or play an extra safety) at various points because these dolphins seem to like 4 and even 5 wide sets

but i do like the matchup of our corners vs their wideouts if jimmy is definitely back and then we can get back to jimmy and tavon on the outside and powers in the slot especially because tannehill can sometimes telegraph throws particularly when he wants to go downfield so i hope that weddle can get a chance to atone for his dropped gimme today

the matchup im most worried about is suh on zuttah though

I see our pass batting ability giving Tannehill fits. He's another QB that likes to short arm the ball.

If we can play our game, I think our physicality down the stretch beats the Dolphins. It's good this game is at home.

i havent been able to catch a dolphins game this year, but is tannehill still a small-ball qb? ive seen highlight plays where hes gotten it downfield, but throughout his career hes been a noodle arm who dinks and dunks. if this is true, then its possible shareece wright has a solid game, hes not horrible when hes not being challenged over the top, and this is also where young plays his best ball, that boy breaks on passes like the flash. also, if judon and urban get a lot of snaps vs a small ball offense then expect a lot of swatted balls again. that could legitimately be a game changer.

he's done a lot better under pressure and he's challenging defenses downfield but he's very inconsistent but has been exploding in short bursts throughout the season

I hope we get Jimmy Smith back. A couple people mentioned it, but I definitely feel like this Ravens team absolutely can win or lose any given game. Let's hope January Joe comes early and we get some TDs in this one. Pretty big game - all of them are now.

Would like to have his one heading into New England. Steelers have no guarantee over Giants either. They have like an eight game win streak.

For the love of god can we start taking some shots downfield!!

perriman hauls in a 50/50 on the TD, laid out and nearly hauled in a deep ball.

get the back n Boyle to help with some protection, give them a chance to get downfield and give them a chance to make a play

this seasons been painful to watch, never had so many weapons and we're just throwing little dinks for no yardage, then we get stuffed on a run, here comes the pressure, incomplete or throw short of the marker

maybe it's a master plan and we're keeping all our plays under wraps until it's crunch time and we're in the playoffs

i haven't watched the coaches film - are any of our receivers getting open down the field, are we even sending people over the top??

Big game this week (I know all of the remaining games are big)  This game is big for a couple reasons (other than the obvious that we are tied for division)

-If we lose this, any small hope of earning a WIld Card are pretty much shot because Miami would have tiebreaker and most likely would finish at least 10-6.

-If we win this and Pitt loses to  the Giants, we will be guaranteed to control our own destiny heading into the final 2 weeks of the season.

I think the key in this game will be our ability to get the ball out quick. They don´t have great cover LBs and if we run more crosses/slants with our TEs it might turn to our favor. I really hope Joe starts to take some risks downfield, too. Those checkdowns are getting sooo predictable. We have such sudden WRs, no way you can´t get anything going by running some rab routes.

I think ravens vs dolphins or steelers vs giants should be flexed into sunday night.

Carolina vs seattle isn't an appealing matchup anymore.

Too late to flex any of this weeks games. Until week 17, any games being flexed are required to be done on 12 days notice, so that would have needed to be decided the middle of last week.

Its a 6 day notice for week 17, so the Monday before.

For what its worth, the players on the field have every bit as much to do with game selection as the records of the teams. Russell Wilson and Cam Newton are exponentially more popular and many, many, many more people want to watch those two play that literally anybody on the Ravens or Dolphins, and certainly more than Flacco and Tannehill.

Wouldn't expect any flex changes to a primetime slot for any of our remaining games. Patriots and Steelers games are already primetime games.

Too late.  Have to give 12 days notice:  http://www.nfl.com/flexible-schedules

Only Ravens games that could get flexed are Week 15 vs. Eagles and Week 17 @ Bengals

Week 15 is a possibility because currently Steelers-Bengals is the Sun. night game.  However, other games that week that might get flexed are Buccaneers-Cowboys, Lions-Giants, and Patriots-Broncos.  I find it unlikely they'd choose the Ravens game because that would give the Ravens 3 consecutive primetime games:  Wk 14 Mon @ Patriots, Wk. 15 vs. Eagles, and Wk. 16 on Christmas @ Pitt.

After 10 weeks of seeing the same ole' same ole' from this Ravens offense; I really don't expect them to do anything differently vs the Dolphins.

Very very early injury updates for the Dolphins:

James Walker ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins HC Adam Gase said C Mike Pouncey (hip) continues to be a week-to-week thing. But Gase said, in his mind, he's not sure Pouncey will be back Sunday.

James Walker ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins LT Branden Albert said his wrist injury is "day by day" but he's feeling much better.

I saw one Dolphin game this year, vs the Bengals. Their line was atrocious and they looked awful overall save for red zone defense. Tanehill had the pocket collapse on him almost every drop back, it was tough to watch. I'm assuming they have gotten better obviously since that game, no way around it, this is a must win game.

It's gonna be a tight finish.

We were able to get away with Jimmy being out vs. the Bengals but we won't against the Dolphins. Jimmy against Landry is a perfect matchup, they fit well with each other, we need Jimmy to play. I like Tavon against Parker, I don't know if they match up particularly well but I don't think their skill sets are that far apart. What we need to do this game is pretty simple, shut down their run game and make Tannehill beat us with his arm. Early in the season their lack of a run game was their biggest issue, since Jay Ajayi has exploded onto the scene they've been winning - so shut him down and if our secondary is at full strength then this will be a W. The 49ers took away their run game last week and almost pulled off the upset, but their secondary wasn't good enough to stop Tannehill, our is good enough if Jimmy is playing, if he's out again then we'll see a close game, but I expect us to still come out on top in that match up.

On offense - I'll be happy if we do literally anything.

In an ideal spot, it would probably be the reverse. Landry plays out of the slot more often I believe, which means ideally he would draw more of Young or Powers. Jimmy would likely stay on the perimeter, probably mostly against Parker.

Landry isn't the "go to" receiver for the Dolphins anymore. Hasn't caught more than six passes in a game in five straight games, and hasn't topped 100 yards since week 3. Averaging around 40 yards/game the last four games, and that's against some pretty bad pass defenses (Jets/49ers).

Parker is somebody I'd want to spend more time emphasizing to play against, and also making sure we don't get beat over the top by Stills.

Hopefully Jimmy Smith can play in this game but if not I wonder if The Ravens would be interested in recent released cornerback Perrish Cox. I know he wasn't really all that good for The Titans so far this year but The Ravens  had interest in him last year when he was a free agent. He atleast could give The Ravens more depth at outside corner back  since it seems they may need help in that area.

It seems he loss a step-or-two after his concussion, but it he checks-out with our medical staff and scouts he could be a good reserve/option.

Watch the Refs screw us this game. They know Giants will beat the Steelers. Giants are that good trying to stay in Wildcard race. Refs will do anything to keep Steelers vs Ravens when they meet again. Its all about the TV ratings.

I don't think that really changes anything as there are still quite a bit of games left....

worried about the DL, but i feel good about everything else. if jimmy is back then jarvis landry and parker will be shut down, jimmy can handle both of them easily and i believe tavon young is a great matchup with parker, ball skills vs ball skills, and young is the more explosive of the 2, as long as we can keep jimmy on landry we should be good. we did well against the cowboys run game til the very end so i have no doubts about handling ajayi.

but once again... the offensive line is incredibly worrisome. it sucks weve had so many injuries and zuttah just fell off the face of earth since 2014, because the unit looked good on paper, but its a disaster. just hope like hell we can contain suh.

Really? The DL is one of the last things I'm worried about.

Yeah like they said^^ 12 day flex rule.

The dolphins nearly got beat by a horrible niners team - and the week before that they barely squeaked out a lucky win against the chargers if I'm not mistaken. A 6 game winning streak is nothing to sneeze at- but really they haven't been playing all that great lately. And we tend to have Miami's number.

They currently hold the final wild card spot- so beat them and a  wildcard berth isn't even out of the question. Winning The north is obviously the goal but as long as we get in I think we will have exceeded expectations bouncing back from a 5 win season. Denver is the main other team we'd have to worry about as far as the wild card- and their remaining schedule is pretty difficult too. I'm thinking we probably finish 9-7..but if we can somehow just sneak a win vs the pats( who almost just dropped a stinker against the jets) then anything can happen. If our offense shows up - jimmy comes back healthy- and if we start to get more production from Doom then we're in really good shape and we  might get hot at just the right time.

I say Tough,,,If Ravens good enough to beat Dolphins maybe the Steelers should have a game plan to beat the Giants. NFL is fixed just like the WWE is.
