A+ Talent on our roster?

3 posts in this topic

So im having a discussion with one of my buddies who just so happen to be a Dallas Cowboys fan, we're talking about Sunday's game and heres some of what he had to say " I have to give credit to Baltimore because they played one heck of a game especially being a team without any A+ players". I asked him what he meant by A+ players and he said compare our(Ravens) player to the best players at the same position on other teams and rate them(EXAMPLE: Tom Brady is a A+ QB so I would guess Joe is like a C+ QB). He goes on to say Yanda is the only A+ player we have on this team, Suggs and Weddle are A- players and C.J Mosley and J.Smith were B+ players.

Thoughts?

Subjective obviously.

If you go by some of the ranking sites, Yanda, Brandon Williams and Weddle are A+ players. You could count Tucker as well, but he's a kicker.

Weddle is the highest graded safety in the league this year according to PFF, and has been a perennial highly graded player for years.

Other than that its hard to argue with this. I suppose some would argue that Jernigan is emerging into an A-level player, but probably not there yet.
