21 posts in this topic

Coming off a 10-week suspension for his second violation of the league’s performance enhancing drug policy, second-year tight end Nick Boyle said he feels ‘reborn’ again, and is ready to start slamming people.

Let's get him out there on the field. He has a lot to prove and he has the freshest legs in the business :-)
Sometimes, it takes a smack in the mouth a couple times to become a better person (Actually, that's what it takes for most of us). I'm sure he'll make good on his word and I'd be glad to see him "Smack some people". Between the whistles of course!

We certainly need a tight end who blocks well. He also showed he was a solid receiver last year. Let's hope he's got his head is on straight now!

Anybody else see that a year nine Flacco is playing in such a dumbed down offense that he has only two reads most plays and doesn't change plays when it's obvious that the play won't work. Dak Prescott is a rookie changing plays and protections and making three and four reads. That is just embarrassing, I think Ray shouldn't have apologized to Flacco he made a lot of good points not about the rah rah stuff but the complete lack of passion. He does sit by himself on the bench after plays and he doesn't change his sense of urgency or demeanor after a bad play or a good one. Notice his lack of accuracy this gets better when you put in the extra work that people with passion have the drive to do, like work with your receivers to get that timing down to a science, or do some film study to understand who your throwing against and their tendencies. Since winning the Super Bowl he has seriously regressed, I know he has had like seven coordinators but the basic question intelligence doesn't seem evident in Flacco.

I am glad to see him back. We certainly need his blocking skills and what he can add to the passing game. We need someone who can get some YAC. The guy looked to be a descent player before his suspensions and I hope he can work his way back to being an asset.

Hope Boyle can stick and be a Player. It will soften the blow of Max Williams being yet another wasted high round pick.

Awful quick to call Maxx a bust geez at least give him another year. Generally it takes 3 years to grade a class. Remember RG3 was the greatest thing since sliced bread as a rookie now he is broken down and holding a clipboard just pump the brakes a little on Maxx being a bust.

Rookie season and hurt his SO season does not make him a bust. Plus, they say the TE position is the longest adjustment period as well. Goal would be that he improves next year and breaks out in 2018.

That's good to here but can he block because Pitta can't. I hope he plays but Ravens probably will not let him.

I feel Harbs has no choice but to play him. Can't continue to let Pitta be a pylon when blocking.

You can basically get TE's throughout the Draft. Didn't want to use the "Bust" word but was trying to say a 2nd round pick should not be used for a TE. Other than Gronk and a handful of others(maybe) the TE Position is interchangeable from one player to the next. Example: Pita, Gilmore, and Boyle who were later round picks. Unless Maxx morphs into a Top 5 TE in the league we traded up and over valued a position we could have used elsewhere.

Maybe he can improve the 29% chance of making the playoffs.

Real simple formula for beating the 29% odds. Hope for a miracle today for Colts beating the Steelers and win 5 of our last 6 games. I'm guessing I didn't hit you with a confidence booster.

Sad but I think the hip injury will not let Pitta put excess weight on his hips.

I don't understand why they dont keep Pitta out wide and give Waller the start plus all blocking duties. I cant watch Flacco get sacked again because Pitta just watched his guy go right past him.

Based on how unpredictable this organization can be. I wouldn't bank on him playing again, but he does have good potential so the chances of him playing are on his side. He could really help out this offense be tougher.

Put him in second tier. You just do not play A game form after 10 weeks as a loser. I doubt he will be used in quality packages and on this team next season.
