                      Jernigan Pierce Chandler

                 Sizzle     CJ        Orr         Judon

Gilmore                                                            Jimmy

               Weddle                                 Webb

With Tavon in the slot :D

JPP would be playing OLB for us as well lol. 3-4 DEs have the bodies of DTs

Although, if Pees stays, he'd just make them contain the pocket and drop to soft zone, respectively.

And maybe he can buy the All-22 for the fans and a book on defensive schemes and coverages.

Nick Perry was a guy I was really high on this year. I think signing the one year deal with the Packers was the right move, but damn, I'd have loved him here on a two or three year deal with room for an extension.

Lmao John Simon? So he could get cut and go to the practice squad again? The team has a problem actually developing rookies

These guys are the right age and some will miss out on the big money rush, we need the right right players for the right price. Perry is a handful but personally I'd rather have a power rusher like Sheard if the sack totals are similar.

He's not a rookie or practice squad eligible. He's in his second season with the Texans.

Obviously (apparently the sarcasm went over your head?) I'm talking what Baltimore did after drafting him

Oh yes the lowest form of wit, it's not so obvious when you look at some of the questionable opinions in this board. Anyway Simon is a better player than when he left, and could be an affordable option on the verge of a breakout season.

Thinking about the draft and the possibilities i started wondering just how many decent players careers were wasted by being drafted by the Brows, Raiders and others over the years due to not being developed correctly. It is like a black hile. The browns have had the great positions for ever and where does all of the hopeful talent go ?

It is sad to think about

But as far as realistic options go, I really would like for us to drop some cash on CB or Pass Rusher. No excuses with either of those positions.

Watching MNF right now, I think Ronald Leary is the only OL I'd pony up some money for.  He's a FA and the Cowboys have La'el Collins, so I can't see them being willing to pay him.  The fact that he's been a backup is crazy considering the lack of OL talent around the league.

He's good but a little injury prone, Zeitler is another option but I think he's going to be overpaid.

Please spend some money on Alshon and Claiborne that would do so much for this team now and in the furthe Claiborne and jimmy on the outside Tavon in the slot... Alshon Wallace and perriman with Watson and Dennis inside unfortunately we won't have the money to sign both of them

I've seen his market value predicted at the 5 year $55-60M mark, the suspension drops him a bit but teams will always overpay for a top tier talent even if he has durability and off the field issues.

Would like to add Ingram or Perry.  Wouldn't mind using the money for Williams on Gilmore.

There are a few FA options that I like:

On offense - Pierre Garcon, Desean Jackson, and Brian Quick spring to mind without looking at a list. I always really liked Quick, feel like his talent has been wasted with the Rams, and given even a decent situation and he could break out. Garcon is that dependable vet that Joe needs and Jackson just sort of fits want we want to do. I'll pass on Jeffrey, health issues and character issues, not to mention he's going to be way overpaid. Ronald Leary is a great option for LG if we let Wagner walk, it'd allow us to kick Lewis out to a more natural RT. After Leary there are a few interesting OGs on the market. It's not going to happen but I'd love to add JC Tretter at OC, good and young, and the Packers will probably let him walk since they have Linsley.

On defense - I think the CB options are pretty underrated, I like quite a few guys on the list, that being said: CB is another position that tends to get way overpaid on the open market. Stephon Gilmore, I like Amukamara but injury issues are a concern, Trumaine Johnson, Captain Munnerlyn is a great slot CB that always seems to fly under the radar, I'm not sure if I'd take flier on Morris Claiborne, before this season he was considered a huge bust, Patriot fans hate Logan Ryan with a passion so I like him already. I'd like to sign one of them, but I really want Sidney Jones in the first round. I'd love to somehow get Melvin Ingram, he'd do wonders for our pass rush. DeMarcus Ware would be interesting but my gut tells me heading back to Dallas. Nick Perry and Chandler Jones would be amazing but they're probably pipe dreams for us. DJ Hayden, Barkevious Mingo, and Dion Jordan are on the market and it's always fun to think about turning around a draft bust's career, but it seems like we're never really the team to try.

After those guys I can't think of anyone else I'd like for us to go after.

I agree going after Stephon Gilmore. I still think Garcon would be a good pick up as well.

How about getting a wide receiver who's a YOUNG star instead of an OLD star for once in this teams history? Why do we always have to get offensive players who made their bones with other teams?

Because this 'YOUNG star' you talk about will cost half of the team's salary cap. Alshon Jeffery will get around $11-12 million dollars a year compared to Pierre Garcon who will most likely only get $3-5 million a year. If you want a young star you better draft them to be a successful team.
