42 posts in this topic

A few days after criticizing Joe Flacco's passion, Ray Lewis said he's sorry. He said he's just frustrated watching from the sideline after having so much influence on other players over the years, and wrongly blamed the quarterback.

Wow, new respect for Ray. Takes humility to say "I was wrong" and apologize, and "humility" is not a word I would have associated with Ray. ;)

Good for him. And yes, we all feel the frustration. Ray may well have been right, but it was still unfair.

10 TD's in 11 games this season!!!! Don't apologize Ray!!! You're right!!!! Over his career he's averaging 1.19 TD's a game...He killed this team with that gargantuan contract!!!r

Ray doesn't have to give a apology, he's right. As a 9yr veteran QB he should be the vocal leader of his team, rallying his team to go out there and give it all that they have

as i said before %80 of ravens fans want to go in a new direction,a strong arm does not make a leader! just ask BEARS fans.

Did you take a Poll? I haven't seen one. How can you be sure it is 80% ?

Disingenuous again Ray. You said Joe wasn't family or a friend. It was entirely a personal attack, it was entirely about Joe. This wasn't an apology, it was damage control.

If Ray really was sorry, if he really didn't mean what he said, if he meant that he wanted to treat Joe like a man, a friend, then he would have called him to personally apologize, like a man. This was a bunch of lies trying to salvage a dying media career.

No, you were a one armed half a man who didn't even play most of the season but was fortunate enough you had a QB who had your back and stood up for you when you needed someone to stand up for you and got you to the playoffs where you could make it about you. You dropped interceptions that could have cost games in the playoffs, you were routinely beaten by Vernon Davis to the point he got in your face and told you that you were nothing and you had nothing to say except McPhee jumped right into Davis and knocked him down. This team didn't carry each other, because you were carrying no one, this team carried you. Stop trying to make more money and get more power by pretending you are something you are not. We all know in Baltimore what went down and we were cool with it. Now that you want to run your mouth, maybe more of the truth of you needs to come out. You had a fan base who had your back when we didn't know if you were a murderer or not, as it is you were guilty of abetting a murder and paid and paid and paid your way out of it. We love the Ray that spent his time here, bled for the Ravens and was honest about who and what he was, this Ray Lewis is not loved in Baltimore and if he wants to get it back, then it will take more than a half baked apology with back hand insults still included.

Which 80%? I think you would have a tough time coming up with 20% and just because the same people keep repeating the same message, doesn't mean there are more of them. Like you said, "I said before", if you said it before and the bandwagon didn't fill up, then pretty much you're on you own and are speaking for 1. Lonely bandwagon you have going there.

Everybody is so quick to just blame everything on Joe. What about Terrance West only getting 8 carries the ENTIRE GAME!!! and Dixon only getting 6 for a total of 14 RUNNING PLAYS!!! THE ENTIRE GAME!!! Are we going to blame Flacco for the 136 penalty yards too? Don't think Flacco was flagged all game!! Should we blame Flacco for Zuttah's personal foul that negated Dixon's 9 yard run that would of had us 2nd and 1 but instead put us 1st and 25 and an eventual stalled drive?? What about the missed block from Pitta that led to Flacco's sack that ended a drive?? Are we going to blame Flacco for the poor coverage and tackling by the secondary and allowing a rookie QB to throw 3 td's and pick them apart?? Are we going to blame Flacco for the lack of pressure on the rookie QB after the first defensive series?? Should we blame Flacco for the defense allowing the Cowboys to score a TD on a drive that they started out 1st and 30??? Maybe we should just have Flacco, snap it to himself, block for himself and then run out and catch a pass himself - that way when we blame him for everything it might actually be his fault.

You people are the same ones that if you were to get pulled over for DUI blame the cop for pulling you over never once thinking it's your fault for drinking and driving in the first place.

And for those who want to blame Flacco's salary - just think we are paying Webb $9mill this year....is he worth it????

It is not the responsibility of the QB to get the team fired up to go out and do their damn job that they are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars and even millions to do. Anyone that puts that on Flacco is an idiot.

Who are you talking to? Do you Think Joe Flacco or anybody from the Ravens are gonna listen to you?

the defense wouldn't be on the field if Flacco could sustain a drive.

If "Flacco could sustain a drive"? So he's supposed to sustain a drive by himself? Did Joe commit any of those drive killing penalties? Also, I don't think the offense had a 3-and-out all game, so it's not like they were quickly putting the defense back on the field. Flacco played well and the offense picked up first downs, but stupid penalties and the defense's inability to get off the field killed us.

Ray didn't need to apologize, we fans know you're a raven ride or die and you like everyone else is waiting for flacco to wake the hell up and start balling. Getting outplayed by rookies these last 2 years should be embarrassing for him...I'm still holding out hope he can turn it around but right now we're paying over a million a td pass that ain't good

Not blaming him for yesterday, TOP was heavily in the Cowboys favor, not much Flacco could do. Yesterday's lose came to a lack of pass rush in the 2nd half and not being able to stop the check down throws

Everyone knew that Flacco was playing mediocre and passionless. But we got that one win over Pittsburgh then everyone got amnesia all of a sudden. I understand exactly what Ray Lewis was talking about. Criticism can be a good thing if the person that is criticized owns up to it. I think Flacco played better yesterday against the Boys just based off of Lewis's criticism.

There he is! I bet Joe sleeps better knowing that you're watching his back.

I can solve all of this with one action. Bring back Gary Kubiak Joe ranked 12th with 27 touchdowns and sacked only 19 times. 90% QBR
