He looks like another Mark Clayton...dropping easy passes. This game was set up for him to break out, and he fell flat. He wasn't worth a 1st round pick imo.

He hasn't been good on those short routes, but we're a whole 6 games into his career.  It's ridiculous to call any player a bust after only 6 games.

No. It's not.. yes he's still young but he's also a football player and hasnt even looked like that

Now a days WR's have immediate impacts. Now, if you're good you'll normally show it by week 4.

You can't bring logic into a "is X rookie a bust" thread.

6 games... no training camp to his name yet, limited practice time due to injury in 2 years. But he's a bust..... 

It is frustrating to see the kid not catch some of these short passes, not all are perfect passes but they are catchable passes at least. 

If he's bust already I'd have to question your expectations for him in 6 games. Did you think he'd never take a preseason snap, never have an offseason practice and then put up Randy Moss rookie type numbers?

- Is Kevin white bust already too? ( missed entire year 1, and now on IR again )

- Or L.Treadwell whom hasn't even played for the Vikings.

actually clayton was a better football player than perriman and its not even close

I'm not calling him a bust yet but I totally understand the frustration.  Take away the year of having to wait to see him play and I bet the disappointment drops a great deal.

This exactly.  I also get the frustration, but it's simply insane to think that a player's career path is determined after 6 games.

Keep in mind, a lot of these were the same people calling Jimmy Smith a bust his rookie year.  Guys take time to develop.  It's part of the game for some.

Blame the people who drafted him. Idk if he's a bust but if folks are already asking this question that doesn't bode well.

Which is true. The drops though can't be attributed to development. He's a wide receiver and I assume he's been play wide receiver since high school. He's supposed to catch the ball. He has to catch the easy throws and make the plays he was brought it in the make. He's a 1st round pick so there are high expectations which isn't unreasonable. Anyway he's not a bust yet because he's 6 played games into his career.

He actually flashed today. I think perriman will actually be okay, just not a star. He just needs to keep improving.

I think it's easy to say he's a bust. He has more dropped balls than catches.
