Next Up: Ravens vs Bengals, Sunday November 27 at M&T Bank

I've seen plenty of teams struggle without their #1 CB. It just flips your entire gameplan. Sucks we lost Jimmy because I really think the result would have been different with him there.

Hope Doom comes back this game, Za'Darius needs to take a seat.

we should start using hurry up much more.  Wonder who our offensive coordinator will be next season.  Anyone have any ideas?

I like their  current offensive coordinator so far. I think he comes up with some pretty creative plays at times and I think he suits what Joe Flacco likes to do.

I love Division games but after the loss Sunday we are just playing for pride and reps for the young guys. So i say, let them loose and have fun. Maybe a few questions can be answered as to who stays and who goes next season.

You know we still hold first place in the division right?

You know there is a strong possibility we can win the division right?

Not likely anything happens with ZaDarius.

Doom is coming back as a part time rusher, and based on what I saw yesterday, I'm expecting Judon to take the biggest hit in playing time. Too many dumb penalties on ST and other places.

Doom is on his last leg with age and due to injuries. I'm really hoping some posters here aren't expecting much from him even when he does come back.

I can't believe the front office let OLb become this big of an issue when they knew both were up there in age. I can understand that they couldn't have guessed that both would come down with major injuries at the same time.

OLB will more than likely be the first round pick next year.

Doom had 6 sacks and 20 quarterback hurries last year . The Ravens aren't asking him to be full time starter so if he's healthy then he is great help to The Ravens pass rush.

It is possible they give him an offseason to install more of his concepts and the 2017 season.

I think that would be best, unless you have a stud become available to you and even then I wouldn't want change. Marty has basically 5 rookies in this offense that he'll get to know very well over the last 6-9 games, that could be huge parts in 2017. Perriman, Dixon, Waller, Stanley and Moore. Not to mention there is Maxx, Lewis, Boyle and maybe even Camp who he'll at least have an idea of how he could potentially use them next year. Unless the offense just shows no improvement whatsoever, I'd rather see Marty given a full offseason to work with this offense the way he wants.

I thought the offense kept the Cowboys on their heels all game and the Boys got bailed out by some terrible calls, but I think Cleveland was a good turning point and that Cowboys defense was a better test, but I think Marty is just starting to figure out how to use his weapons. Like those crosses to Wallace, SSS and Perriman, or the creative ways to get Dixon and Juice the ball out of the backfield. Clean up the penalties vs the Bengals and I think we got something.

Harbaugh better give them an hard nose workout. Make them work all day until they get the plays right. If you drop a pass you'll start all over again. If you make a mistake you'll start all over again. Work them hard and then i guarantee they wont mess up this sunday i guarantee you it will be a good game.

Have to look at the bigger picture.  Yea he wont come in and be the dominant guy we all miss, but he will provide fresh legs and give others time to rest, that's a very important aspect that is over looked

There's only one thing that scares me, well two. But everyone here knows how much Flacco seems to struggle with the Bengals defensive scheme. But I won't touch this.

Since Green and Gio will be out, I'd honestly have Jimmy play Eifert 1 on 1. The Bengals still have the personnel to attack the middle of our defense in the passing game which is probably our weakest point. Eifert looks all the way back and Boyd had a very nice game for them. If we let them roam free in the middle, we could be looking at another loss.

The CBA limits practice to 3 hours.

What I want to happen:

Ravens 48

Bengals 10

Show the world Cowboys won thanks to officiating and luck by dominating the Bengals.

What actually will happen:

Ravens 24

Bengals 16

Bengals keep it close despite no AJ Green or Benard because our coaching doesn't coach the team to play for 60 minutes. We coach them to play 45 minutes and then give the game away in the fourth quarter and hope you stop them to hold on to win.

I think we see dime formation A LOT in this one. I like Tavon on Boyd. Jimmy should be on Eifert. I trust Powers in the slot. Hopefully Lafell doesn't kill Wright.

No AJ and I feel a lot better about this game. The Bengals are in that downswing. They had their time, than the cap and other factors caught up to them. Their D isn't what it was given the losses they've taken in FA the past 2 years and their offense lost a couple keys also.

Is Boyle back!?!?

watching Pitta "block" has been rough the past few weeks

I hope so. I believe Pitta isn't blocking well due to hip issues. Boyle can handle those duties to free Pitta up, and maybe even get a few targets.:baltimore-ravens:

Bengals do have some high caliber players on defense, so this game could end as a stalemate, due to lack of offensive presence.

The cap did not catch up to the Bengals. They have almost $7 million in salary cap and in years prior had even more than that.

They still have a very capable defense that has been playing well given the circumstances. Obviously the offense and their injuries are their main issue at the moment.

Considering time off, Doom shouldn't be expected to help any more than Za'Darius at least for a while.

I'm hoping that this is the week where Hester gets released and Campanaro gets elevated. I also hope to see Boyle get activated (probably via waiving Taliaferro or putting Lewis on IR). If Campanaro is healthy and Boyle is activated, I think that they could actually provide a spark in the intermediate passing game.

I feel like the defense is going to bounce back this week from a bad showing in Dallas. AJ Green and Gio Bernard are arguably the Bengals best offensive weapons, so if the Bengals are going to get their offense going, they'll be relying on Jeremy Hill (fumble-prone) and Tyler Eifert (dangerous). The Bengals WRs are nothing special without Green and the line has been pretty bad this year for them, so I think we match up well against Cincinnati's offense.

Cincinnati's defense seems average to me. I think that it'll be a rough matchup for Baltimore's offense, but if the running game gets going I feel good about the Raven's chances.

If we don't use no huddle this Sunday the OC needs to be fired. We've now had two back to back games showing that Joe operates best when he's in no huddle.

Yep he's as good as gone. If not I will be extremely baffled. I cringe every single time the ball is punted to him hoping he doesn't muff it and give them the ball inside the 20 or let it go and get us pinned inside the 10. He's scared to even fair catch the ball. Anything is almost better at this point. Don't wait until its too late and he costs us a game, he damn sure ain't doin nothin to help us win.

A win Sunday will get us right back on track. Freakin figures Andrew luck will likely miss the Thanksgiving game vs Pittsburgh. We just can't catch a break. If they had matt hasselbeck I wouldn't feel too bad- he won them some big games last year- but their backup this year is a nobody. Hopefully luck gets out of protocol but don't see it on a short week.

No huddle is understandable, but when it fails to produce a 1st down it puts the defense in a bad spot.

I am not agreeing with the attacks on Hester. He has been smart for the most part and without multiple fumbles. Have I missed a couple/few? Camp has a problem staying healthy, so, I am not sure cutting Hester in favor of Camp should happen. If Camp gets a chance Hester or another option needs to be there to back Camp up due to his injury history.

Hester almost consistently gives up yards because he is timid in fielding punts. Hester has always been a fumbler, but his home run ability has kind of made up for it. Since that home run ability isn't there anymore and he struggles to field punts, there isn't much justification left in keeping him.

Campanaro's injuries have been frustrating, but they generally aren't the kind of lingering injuries that will affect him in the long run. He's certainly not a worldbeater by any means, but he brings more to the offense (considering that Hester brings nothing to the offense) and at this point in his career he is a better returner with more upside than Hester.

While technically not a "must-win" game, it's a must-win game. We have to beat the Bengals at HOME without Green and Bernard.

I agree completely.  If we lose this game, our season really will be on the brink.  We can't count on Pitt losing, so we need to go 3-1 over the next 4 game stretch (vs. Bengals, vs. Dolphins, @ Patriots, vs. Eagles) to guarantee that we control our own destiny going into the final 2 games @ Pitt and @ Cincy.

Reports are saying that Green will probably be back for the last game or two of the season. So this game is an 100% must win.

We typically do not play well on the road and with Green back in their stadium, they will be looking to ruin our season week 17. The Ravens need this one.
