The 33 yard extra point try is a stupid rule!  Did anybody see a lot of PATs missed? Goodell has got to go!!! Why not just eliminate the extra point try and make Touchdown 7 points? If you decide go for 2 if you fail you get 1 point taken away. Or why not place the ball on 5 yard line and drop kick the PAT?  33 Yard PAT is stupid rule!!!

Or leave it as it is. The point of the rule change was to make the extra point not automatic--Goal accomplished.  And it makes Tucmer that much more baluable for the Ravens!

You didn't see the highlights on CBS didn't you? Its 7 or 8 teams who missed extra point try.

Good.  Adds some drama to the play instead of being an automatic bathroom break.

Its a very stupid rule,,Fans don't like it. Just like Fans don't like that illegal contact rule.

Why is it stupid? Because inept kickers are missing?

College doesn't kick that far. And nether high school. If they move PATs further why don't the NBA move the free throw line from 15 feet to 22 feet?

That is a different issue because free throws are a result of a foul from the other team.  Moving the foul line back would incentivize teams to foul more, which I don't think anybody wants.

The comparison would be the 3 point line, which moves back from high school to college, then moves back again at the NBA level.  So--seems like basketball was already ahead of football in that regard.

I think this is a good idea. Because people go to church on sunday mornings. I say attend to your church around 9AM and then after that you get dressed and drive down to stadium. The NFL used to start at 3PM back in the old days before the mid 60s then they started at 1PM. You can watch most games on TV including the west coast game at same time. and then Sunday night football starts at 8PM and Monday night at 8;30 PM

I don't think this will ever happen because it takes away a TV timeslot each Sunday.  The NFL (and networks) make big money by having games at 1:00 and 4:00 (plus the night games)

no way any of the schedule changes, the nfl is internationally popular and the later you start the early states then the less watchable they are in europe especially where a large amount of viewership comes from and more importantly, i think church and religion in general is almost a non-factor in the running of the nfl - its an international, multi-billion dollar company and very little of the world actively runs around the christian faith anymore

the increasing proliferation of other major religions like judaism and islam as well as greater apathy towards the idea of religion in general and particularly the idea that it should affect major decisions means that a decision to change timeslots because of church is more likely to lose / alienate viewership than increase it and create goodwill and the nfl already has a ratings problem

Not everybody's church does. My church doesn't

I don't think enough churches are that rigid to warrant the NFL redoing its entire schedule for a few thousand fans who may miss the first half. Plus as @rossihunter2 says plenty of people don't go to church for whatever reason.

The Cap system doesn't work! It ruins the sport. Look at Baseball and hockey for example they don't have a cap system. Thats why im for another NFLPA union strike. Get tough with these owners.

Well If you dump the Cap then the Ravens would become the Yankees of the NFL

What makes you think that?

There are more wealthy owners and franchises than The Baltimore Ravens.

Even if Mr B were the richest owner in the league, there's no way he'd put the most money into his team. It's not about how rich the owner is, it's about the return they get from what they put in and the Ravens (as a mid-market team at best with little national or international appeal) don't return an awful lot.

Try the cowboys, steelers, giants, patriots, packers; jets, bears, 49ers and rams even,

all of them at least would be more likely to end up as the yankees
