[News] Will Offense's Strong Finish Last Week Carry Over To Dallas?

The Cowboys defense is not that much better then the Browns so why not. I would rather see us have long drawn out drives down field via the run and make the Elliot/Dak issue mute.

I keep hearing bout this 2minute offense, more more more. Talking heads like Vinny on 1057 keep spouting moronic thought saying Joes goingbto throw it 40+x and they are going to run a lot of 2minute offense in Dallas. NO!!!!

This is not a game to get into a shootout. What happens when 2minute offense is unsuccessful? You kill your awesome defense and lose time of possession. A battle that will be utmost important Sunday.
Stick with traditional offense..,Balanced attack that is Ravens blueprint. Run it 30x win T.O.P. throw it 30x keep defense fresh so they can shutdown Zeke and maybe turnover Dak

With the both Defenses good at stopping the run, it looks like whose receivers are able to get open against each others defenses is a big factor. Too bad Juan Castillo's run game sucks so bad.

I don't know about the Vinny-thing (rarely get a chance to tune-in) sometimes I find him pretty agreeable, That said, I'm in complete agreement that time of possession on offense will play an important role in this game. Now, if they take away our ability to have a slow, steady, measured balance attack (loading-up against the run and short-passing, clock management, ST winning field position battle, etc.) then it's good to know that we can adjust on-the-fly to an efficient hurry-up mold.

How'bout'dem Cowboys? That's something that Dallas has really never been challenged to much with so far. That could be the difference in the game (advantage Ravens).

Juan Castillo is the offensive line position coach. Like all position coaches, he has little to ZERO input on the play calling, run game, pass game etc.

The players dont know who to block. Maybe he is not teaching proper technics or Ravens got some realy dumb players. Re watch a game.

If Joe ends up waiting till the playoffs to do what he did in 2012, who cares.

Living in the past like Steeler fans does this team NO GOOD. Four years and $120mil. later, Far Below Average Joe is the third worst starting QB in the league this year, and has been AWFUL since the SB!

Amen, brother. You got my +1 for your realistic point of view, but be prepared to get downvoted into oblivion by naive, unreasonably optimistic fans, 'cause, you know, "We have SB MVP at QB! How dare you be critical of him!". Meanwhile, there's literally nearly no one worse than Flacco at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, nobody is rooting harder than me for Flacco to finally get his head out of his butt, get his act together and start performing on par with what he's being paid. I know, drops and shty blocking is not his fault, but game in and game out he's not making the throws, when they ARE there. He finally showed signs of adequacy in one half against Browns' worst D in the league. Here's to hoping he got his game jumpstarted with that performance!

Dallas fans are going to learn that points will harder to come by this week. They think they will score 30 plus. I doubt that. The ravens need 24-28 points to win this game. Dak doesn't work well under pressure. Pees will have to find a way to keep the heat on him.

I agree with you that 24-28 might be enough for us. My prediction for Cowboys is 25 points (+/- 3). So 4 TDs for us should do it. But that's the thing, I'm not so confident if we can put up that many points. 28p would be as much as our season high was against the Browns one of the league's worst defenses.

Flacco ain't gonna bring us these kind of points, so we need to get our run game going. Unfortunately that will be tough against Dallas' stout run defense and with our O-line injuries.

I would run it the first and last drives of each half to establish a rhythm, then go traditional the rest of the game. I certainly wouldn't run it the whole game unless it's needed.

Just read this: "Ray Lewis calls out Joe Flacco for lacking passion for the game" http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/31763/ray-lewis-calls-out-joe-flacco-for-lacking-passion-for-the-game

WOW! But I could not agree more with Ray. There have been times when the ice water in Flacco's veins has been an asset, I still remember couple of those 80-90 yard game winning drives he made before our SB title. Especially the one in Pittsburgh.

But for most part the lack of evident passion or "fire" seems to be the undoing of him. More often than not, players seem to play better when they are ticked off, think SSS, Lewis, Suggs etc. But Flacco just doesn't seem to care. And as a fan, that bothers me. If it seems that I care more about the outcome than our QB, then something is not right. It just seems as if his far below average performance isn't a problem to him. As if its okay. Well, it's not!

I get all the optimism, I really do. But we just beat the Browns. And the first half was Ugly!!!

Can we please beat a legit team before we talk about anything on the offense "breaking out", please???

In four games not in Baltimore so far this year, Joe has thrown only two touchdown passes and six interceptions and has a 11.6 point avg. Our D had better be stellar against Dak and Elliott! It's the only way we'll pull off the upset.

I don't agree that Dak doesn't do well under pressure. He steps up, slides overand rolls out with the best of them. I only wish Joe could do some of that!

That's funny- "a strong finish". That should have been a normal finish considering your going up against Cleveland defense. "Will it carryover", we'll see where Joe has his head. Given his road QB rating is a pathetic 66%- I'm guessing it will be farrrrrr up his behind.
