This Week In The NFL on Show Time had the Ravens labeled as part of their "Dubious Doubleheader" highlight package along with the Rams-Jets game. My initial reaction was we get ZERO respect. My next thought was what have we really done this season to earn any of that respect.

All this "No respect " is not a big deal at all. Everyone on here should already know that this is what we have always dealt with and the team lives for it. How many times have we been given a slim chance or no chance at all and went out and won the games anyway? A bunch. So this is not news and it just feeds the competitive fire. Go Ravens!

I figure the Browns have to win a game this year, so why not against Pittsburgh? :D

No matter how long the Ravens are in existence they will be the forever hated, whipping boys of the NFL. Whether people want to fault Art Modell for moving the Browns and are carrying that grudge, or the people who want to hate us for Ray Lewis, or Ray Rice, or the most un-elite/elite QB in the history of the game, to John Harbaugh who happens to be Jims brother who everyone seems to dislike to Steve Smith who just makes everyone mad. It doesn't matter what we do, how we play, or whatever, there will always be the pundits who hate us. We could have the number 1 offense in every stat, the number 1 defense in every stat and the pundits would find a way to justify placing the Ravens 10th on every power listing. WHO CARES. These pundits probably know less than the average Ravens fan and is going to make prognostications based on a couple of lines they read from another pundit who doesnt know anything about the Ravens.

People laughed when we said we would shut down LeVeon Bell and Antonio Brown to beat the Steelers. Our own local radio talk show beat us up all Steelers week saying we didn't stand a chance and it will be the same this week. However, the Cowboys look very much like the 2008 Ravens. Great running back, some good pass catchers, rookie QB who can do just what he needs to do to win,etc... Best way to beat us back then, stop the run and put the game on Joes back. Thats what we do to the Cowboys. Shut down Elliott completely and make Prescott win the game. Maybe he will, maybe he won't, but I won't be surprised in the least if the Ravens come away with a 3 point win, not surprised at all.

I remember a couple other years where we were counted out, had some losing streaks, got hot late, started to produce, Joe got hot, we got in the playoffs and the rest is history.

Yes the Ravens can snatched one out the D F DUB! I'm in favor of not blitzing but if it's one of those exotic blitzes go for it Dak or Romo wouldn't know what to do but hit the deck! But like I say no blitzing rush four no more than five and spread the Defense and the Ravens got this!

if any team can i'd say the ravens can beat the cowboys,IF,FLACCO brings his A game.also IF only we would of assured the cowboys we were taking RAMSEY,we would of got him,a total BLUNDER by the ravens staff,we would of had another MARCUS PETERS,now we have a lineman that can't run block in this league.

100% true. Lets face it, other than possibly the Raiders, we are the most dis-liked team in America. We get very little respect, other than our 2000 Super Bowl defense, which is undeniably one of the best units of all time, so they do give us credit there. But pretty much negative reactions are the norm.

I agree with you about containing Zeke also...don't know if we can completely shut him down, but if we can limit his output and put the pressure on Prescott to carry the load, we have a very good chance of winning this game. Of course, the offence is going to have to step up and make some plays also...

I wont see it as a total 'shocker' if we win- we certainly have the potential.
The burden (imo) rests on Joes shoulders- and legs.
He was happy beating Cleveland. Lets see where the mega-million dollar QB goes with this one.
- Go Ravens !

People keep saying we'll win if Joe does this or Joe does that...how about this - what if the O-line actually provides our QB with some pass protection; how about they provide some run blocking; how about the OL not have so many stupid penalties!!!

This game will be won in the trenches - be it the OL or the DL - those two groups need to have a damn near flawless game. IF they can it will allow everything else to fall in to place, if not we'll see what we saw in those 4 game losing streak!

Because its the Browns.

Lets hope, however, I'm sure that Pittsburgh has a lot of pent up angst ready to unleash on the Browns.

CAN RAVENS SHOCK NFL WORLD AND UPSET COWBOYS? The title alone is insulting. We have the number 2 ranked defense and a Super Bowl winning QB so beating the Cowboys wouldn't be any different than beating any other good team we have in the past. But obviously the media need to have a "catchy" article title to get readers.

So correct. Pittsburgh pretty much handed us the game- as bad as they looked. Again- much (most) will depend on Joe.......

Two problems with your line of thinking.  1) Our Superbowl-winning QB isn't playing like a Superbowl-winning QB this year, as evidenced by the numbers.  2) We haven't beaten any good teams this year with these players.  What we did two years ago doesn't mean squat.

Yes we can and yes we will! This is by far our most important game yet and we are as healthy as wev been all year. Our new OC has had a few weeks and I hope we continue to improve.

are we the favorites, of course not! But I sure like our chances!

Don't feel insulted. It just makes winning taste sweeter!

Shock the world? The Cowboys have been a little overrated....if you look at their first 9 games it was a pretty weak schedule. Only top defense they played was against the Packers (which I don't believe is that good anyway). If our defense punches them in the mouth Sunday, they will fold.

This is a winnable game for sure. We need to stop the run early and score early. If we can put up points early that will force Dak to try to make plays, which actually plays into our hands.

The OL will be key here. I trust that if Joe has time and if the OL can make holes for the RBs then we will win this game. I trust in our Defense, its time for the offense to step up.

Kind of early to make any predictions, isn't it? Ramsey=Peters? In whose fantasy world is that real? Ramsey hasn't looked bad, but he's not exactly been a game changer either, so let's wait and see before proclaiming the guy the second coming of Neon Sanders...And how are you saying its a major mistake for drafting Stanley? Almost every lineman in NFL history has taken at least a year to make the transition from college to pros. Its not as easy as you seem to believe. More so with two rookies starting besides each other, but that's a different complaint then just saying the guy's a bum. pretty much all o-lineman go through an adjustment period. So I'll wait to make a judgement call...you may be proven correct, but at this point you're simply over reaching to lay blame on the front office with no justification.

Just like always my team is ignored and dismissed. You would think we were a consistent cellar dweller, we are not. But still no respect at all.

i also wanted to add to your solid post that the great jonathan ogdan played guard his rookie season to get acclimated while stanley was thrown into the fire
