If the Colts can have Luck on Thursday against the Steelers and they can win, they can sneak up on Houston and take the AFC South right from under them.

That would certainly be something although the Colts have their own problems as well, especially on defense. Should be an interesting race to the end

Looks to me, the Raiders will be the only threat in the AFC to the Patriots. If the Raiders can't beat the Patriots in the AFC Title game, we will have to watch the Patriots play in another Super Bowl.

Speaking of playoffs, just looked at the updated NFL Standings. Raiders and Patriots are both 8-2 but Raiders have the tiebreaker for the number one seed currently due to best win percentage in common games.

Luck missed practice today and I believe I remember that you need to have a padded practice and a non padded one as one of the steps of the concussion protocol.

He only has two days and I'd guess the only padded practice the Colts have would be tomorrow. Could he be back in two days from a concussion as well as pass all the other stuff? I'm not sure the Colts even risk throwing their franchise QB out there for even more harm.

Cant really complain about them getting a free win when the Bengals are basically the walking wounded right now.

This game doesn't even involve the Seahawks and the refs are still screwing up on Monday Night Football. Just tired of seeing bad officiating while the NFL refuses to use the technology out there to improve the calls on the field being right.

Same here.

I was thinking about the low ratings of NFL games during the game last night. First you have a primetime matchup featuring Houston, then it's in Mexico, and on the first possession of the game the refs blow a huge and  obvious call.

The league really needs to scrutinize the quality of their product.

Guess we want the Raiders to win because say we do win the North, we would be battling the AFC South Champion for the 3rd and 4th seed. So Houston losing only helps us toward that third seed.

Yup, and also helps the LOOOONG possibility of getting a wild card in case the Colts catch the Texans.  We would need a LOT of teams to lose quite a few games for that to even be a possibility though.  Division is BY FAR our most realistic path to the playoffs.

Raiders fan in Mexico City used a laser pointer To Distract QB

ESPN cameras showed a strong, green laser or light repeatedly being directed on the field of play. The cameras also showed the laser being pointed at the helmet and face of Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler. “There was a couple times it definitely hit me in the eye and it was very noticeable,” Osweiler said when asked about the laser after the game, describing the incident as “disappointing” but not why the Texans lost the game. “It was just one small factor, but it certainly affected how I was playing and able to see downfield and whatnot.” What’s next, security will be confiscating lasers. I bet One day in the not so distant future you won’t be allowed to bring anything into a stadium.

laser pointers are so easy to hide. Just put them down your shoe. Security wont find it

Wow, the Titans losing to the Colts really hurt their chances. Also the Steelers losing to the Dolphins may have destroyed their shot at sneaking into the wildcard.

With the way things are looking, 3 teams are coming out of the AFC West. I don't think us or the Steelers have a shot at a wildcard spot.

More than likely, yeah it will be the 2nd and 3rd place AFC West teams getting in. However, I can see the Dolphins managing to get that final spot just because of how hard the Broncos and Chiefs' schedules are. They play against each other twice still, both play the Titans, and both play the Raiders again. Plus the Chiefs have to play the Falcons and end the season at San Diego. And the Broncos still have the Patriots left to play. It wouldn't be that shocking for one of them to lose four or five of the last six games, since that is a brutal stretch.

I agree. The Raiders have the easiest schedule of the three. Both Denver and KC have tough schedules remaining.
