[News] Ravens-Cowboys Could Be A Statement Game For Baltimore

55 posts in this topic

Trench Fight! We've gotta establish the run and stop it. I hope we take advantage of the Cowboys secondary via the deep pass. Carr and Brown got ate up by A. Brown. Steve Smith needs a breakout game this year because he hasn't had one so far. Win a game that all the pundits have us losing! Step it up Joe.

I would say more of a respect game. . This is going to be a game where a player can make or break a name for themselves. Shame Joe is going to play this game with a bunch of backups.

I've been REALLY hard on the Ravens this year, with good reason I might add. This game against Dallas in big D is an eat CROW game for me, IF they get a W or play really tough game I'll be happy to eat crow. Strength vs Strength. Love these kinda of match ups. Go get a W guys. Time is now.

...we need this game, and we need Ray Lewis to come by training camp and help pump these boys up! I'm so tired of hearing the cowboy fans all year talking trash. Today one of them was talking smack and even said "Joe Flacco's a bum!" I wanted to punch him in the mouth so bad, but we were at work. If Joe is a bum, he's our bum and only we can call him that. lol

the Ravens stand a snowballs chance of winning this game, but they will still be tied with the Steelers after they beat the Browns.

...we're always the underdog in big games anyway. The way I see it we do stand a pretty good chance. The number # ranked run defense against the number #1 ranked top rusher in the NFL. The immovable object vs. the irresistible force! I see it as being a low-scoring game, since our defense has now officially gelled. We keep Zeke Elliot out of the end-zone and we stand a chance. And having said that, that will keep the game close throughout; and with Tucker putting up points with field goals (like last night with Seattle & the Patriots) that'll give our offense a chance to click and get on-track. We tend to come out fast and fizzle out toward the end but for once I'd like to see us come out slow and come on toward the end and just win baby!!

I'll be eating crow too if we lose. I couldn't stand idly by while those Cowboy fans diss our team and our city!

...as an armchair offensive/defensive coach, I noticed some chinks in the Cowboys' armor last night. #1 they have no pass rush and the 2ndary is vulnerable. Dak was successful mostly because he had all day in the pocket on most of his throws, so of course, he's eventually gonna find someone open. He won't have that luxury with T-Sizzle bearing down on him every play breathing fire & brimstone. I think Dak only got sacked once all night and was hardly hit or hurried. When we play him he will get hit plenty and hurried. We should be able to put the fear of God in him after Juvon, Jernigan, Brandon Wms, or T-Sizzle fall on him a few times. lol

I didn't mean to say the Cowboys don't have a pass rush, I meant to say he didn't get any pass rushes last night from the Squeelas, so Dak had all night to sit in the pocket and survey the field back & forth before releasing the ball. But I think he is naturally a "quick release" type QB.

Well, this surely was not a statement article, as I can clearly see, albeit I do have a couple statements of my own in regard to this written work. First off, the B4LT1M0RE RAVEN$ beat the Cleveland Browns 28-7, as opposed to "21-7" like this piece would lead one to believe. Then there is the fact that later on, and perhaps most preposterously, the Cincinnati Bengals' record is erroneously exclaimed to stand at "4-5-1" as per the initial posting of this content. However, instead of said team being capable of somehow magically already accomplishing an impossible feat of competing in 10 games thus far, despite NFL Week 10 not even being completed yet with one upcoming away contest tonight against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, as was correctly noted — the "Jungle Bungles" are unquestionably not participating in their eleventh game this evening! How can there only be ten existent weeks of 2016 regular season play, yet one organization's math apparently adds up to eleven total games after tonight's prime time showdown is finished? In reality, considering "Cinci" is coming off a bye week, this will actually mark their ninth game on the schedule. In other words, they are currently in third place of the AFC North with a real record of 3-4-1 going into tonight's ESPN stand-alone showcase.

Damn, 3 major errors I caught on this lil article. First of all, we won 28-7 not 21-7. Second of all, the Bengals are 3-4-1 not 4-5-1. and last but not least, the Steelers are only 1 game behind us not 1 1/2. SMH

I'm going to go with, "We don't stand a chance of winning this game".
Maybe then, Joe will play like he means it and our O line will protect him and everyone will be going for the brass ring for 60 minutes. From what I saw, Dallas has a penalty issue so maybe that will help us out some as well.
Win or lose, I just hope everyone brings it, come game time. We love being the under dog and boy are we! Time for some of the young guys to make a name for themselves.
GO RAVENS!

Ah, yes, PersianRaven gets it!

(In reference to the porous proofreading that regularly takes place by the authors penning these types of articles, so to speak. Granted, I'm presuming a "probable" designation to borrow some NFL terminology that this is likely due to rushing often occurring, since they must meet their deadlines and such, in all fairness. But still, even so . . . "C'MON MAN!")

Well... if the D can anything like contain Elliott, they're officially legit. That guy is so hot right now... with a great O-line to open holes for him... LeVeon Bell is a great back, but his O-line is not to be compared with the unit that helps Elliott...

Hands down this guy will be the biggest challenge for our run D this season.

Could. .......however, all of the mis-statement games that we SHOULD have won- will more than likely bite us. I hope I am wrong
Good luck in big-D. Go Ravens.

Dude- Ill eat crow, as well. Hard on the Ravens? Hell yeah. They deserve it when the are beyond horrible (the offensive- mainly) Lets hope we are still in the progressing mode- especially with a decimated O-line. I hope Joe is ready to exit the pocket in due time.

The offense needs to make a major statement in this game.  If they can consistently and effectively move the chains, control the time of possession and keep Dak and Zeke cold on the sidelines, and if, our Ravens defense can get some serious and consistent pressure on the QB, we will have a real chance to win.  The Ravens TEAM has to rise to the occasion.  Time to play "up" to the talent on the other side of the ball fellas!

GO RAVENS!!!!

We won the head to head so the steelers actually are one and a half games behind us.

While most are expecting this game to come down to our D vs Cowboys O, I think it'll come down to how many points our offense can put up, more specifically can our running game get it going.

I have no doubt that our D can prevent the Cowboys from running all over us like they did against the Steelers and prevent it from becoming a blowout, but Dallas is gonna put up points. I predict somewhere around 20-25. So if, somehow, we can score 4 TDs again on Sunday, we should have a real chance.

Here's where the problem presents itself, who's gonna score for us? Flacco? Don't think so, he hasn't played well at all, except for one half against one of the league's worst Ds. RBs? Maybe, but it'll be tough with O-line injuries. Expecting DEF/ST to score would be a tall order.

I could see our boys getting a Defensive TD this week, we have been close and I can see us throwing in some looks on Defense that Dak hasnt seen or struggles against. I am expecting a great game plan this week having 10 days to prepare for it and will be questioning our coaching staff if we are out coached.

Flacco is a great QB when he has confidence and actually steps into his throws. I really think we are going to see our Offense put up points the second half of the season, yes they have some things to work on and yes Flacco will still make throws that has us all yelling in disbelief but they will also make a lot more plays that has doing the O chant. Just dont ask Pitta to block anymore ?

After watching the last 4 minutes of the Cowboys Steelers game, we need Pees to forget about the "Prevent Defense" in the 4th Quarter.  The only thing that will prevent is a Ravens win.
We need Flacco to get ahead early and control the time of possession, so that the defense can be fresh at the end of the game and attack Dak with blitzes.
