Looks like we need to stop hoping the Steelers lose, and just go out there and play like real contenders and win out.

The thing that is interesting is Pitts-burgh completely dominated and only wins by one score .

I am not scared of Pitts-burgh in two weeks .

Welp Leveon Bell just destroyed the Bills, so no help on that front.

Gotta win this one to keep pace. I know ultimately we still control our own destiny even with a loss, but it'd be nice if we didn't HAVE to win out to win the division.

Though the Titans took care of business and it's become more likely that the 2nd WC spot could be up for grabs. Denver definitely has an up hill battle now to hang on to that spot.

Overall some good news and bad news. Still masters of our own destiny.

Cant believe the cardinals made that comeback all for nothin. .  1 second away from overtime. Atleast tannehill went down I suppose- not sure how serious it is though. And we do hold the tiebreaker over them obviously.. Still woulda been much nicer for them to lose. Not sure of their schedule but they're obviously capable of racking up several wins in a row.

Ofcourse id rather win the division but I'm almost just as happy getting in as the wildcard. We're so used to playing on the road in the playoffs anyway. And making the playoffs in any capacity after a 5 win season is a success for me atleast.

It doesn't look good for the Dolphins but they still have Ajayi who has been the main reason their offense has been working. Let's just hope the Ravens keep winning and Denver keep losing just in case worse comes to worse. But the Ravens control their own destiny and I like their chances in all of their games the rest of the season.

Looms like we have 2 paths to playoffs since i don't see Pitt losing to. Inch or Clev.

1) Win 3 of next 4 (and beat Pitt) to win division

2) Beat NE, Philly, and Cincy but lose to Pitt--Miami and Denver lose 1 more each--we get wildcard (and most likely a rematch in for first round of playoffs)

The Ravens can probably get in at 9-7. The Ravens will own the conference tiebreaker over any other team with at least a 8-4 division record.

By my estimation (which is usually spot on), all that has to happen is the Dolphins and Broncos lose 2 more. The Broncos play NE, Oakland and KC which is a tough slate. Miami plays their division, but they just lost Tannehill.

With 7-6 Tennessee and Houston needing to play each other again, the winner should get the AFCS and the loser will be at least 9-7, which makes the AFCS unable to claim a wildcard.

Patriots beat Ravens: At (7-6), Ravens playoff chances look decent.

Division Hopes:

1. Ravens beat Eagles, Ravens basically must beat Steelers, Ravens beat Bengals to win division.

Wild Card Hopes:

1. Win 2/3 to go (9-7) - Dolphins lose 2 of last 3 to go (9-7), Broncos lose 2 of last 3 to go (9-7), Titans lose 1 of last 3 to go (9-7). Ravens will win tiebreaker over anyone unless it is specifically them and the Raiders alone, but since the Raiders will either take the 5th seed or the division, this shouldn't matter. The Dolphins, who should be without Tannehill for the rest of the year if he has a torn ACL like I'm hearing, play at the Jets, at the Bills, and home vs the Pats where they may play their 2nd string. I think they could lose any of these 3 games. Them losing to the Jets next week would be really nice. The Broncos play at home vs the Pats, at the Chiefs, and home vs the Raiders. While all could be loses, I think they lose at least 2 of three. The Titans play at the Chiefs, at the Jaguars, and home vs the Texans. They should lose at least 1 of those 3, which is all that's needed.

Ravens Beat Patriots: At (8-5), Ravens playoff chances look great.

Division Hopes:

1. Ravens beat Eagles, Steelers lose to Bengals. Ravens need to beat either Steelers OR Bengals to win division.

2. Ravens beat Eagles, Steelers beat Bengals. Ravens basically must beat Steelers. Ravens beat Bengals to win division.

Wild Card Hopes:

1. Win 2 of last 3, lose to Steelers to go (10-6) - Pretty much guarentees a playoff spot. Dolphins lose 1 of last 3, Broncos lose 1 of last 3.

2. Lose 2 of last 3 to go (9-7) - scenario #1 from the Patriots beat Ravens applies.

I think these scenarios are right. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I like the Ravens chances to make the playoffs, both division and wild card!

If we make the playoffs as the division winner, these are the teams we could play in Baltimore...

Dolphins, Steelers, Raiders, Broncos, Chiefs, and Titans.

If we make the playoffs as the #6 seed (Don't see us getting 5th), we could play...

Steelers, Texans, and Titans.

None of those teams scare me, but the Chiefs, Raiders, and Steelers could all be difficult games. All winnable.

Raiders, Broncos, Dolphins, Titans. In addition to the squeezers. That's who we're battling for a playoff spot. And honestly right now it's such a mess. Sherly wrote it up pretty well. And I'm pretty sure she's right, after playing with the espn sim and all her scenarios. Although I will throw in the AFCS. IF Tenn winds up winning that division and It. Could come down to their final meeting we would hold the tiebreaker over Houston for the 6th seed. Yeah that's kinda a long shot but still.

I played around with it a bit more. And honestly it isn't a impossible stretch for us to win the division and both Pitt e AND Cincinnati to make the wildcards. Lol. Now they're gonna have to win out, but if they do and the AFCW beats each other up, which is how it's playing out, and add in Miami losing out without Tannehill and Buffalo, well being Buffalo, Than it's actually a relatively decent bet that the AFCN owns both wildcards. Again.

And it's impossible for the AFC North to get both wild cards. The most teams it can send to the playoffs is 2 at this point.

What are you even doin here? Shouldve known you wouldnt honor your bet. According to you we weren't going to win more than 6 games so your already off there.

If I'm being completely honest I think our best shot is at a wildcard. I think we finish 9-7  and end up with a tie against Miami and Denver. Miami is now down tannehill and Denver has the toughest remaining schedule in the league. If we win tonight then all bets  are off and we just might win out- if not I think we beat Philly and Cincinnati. Question.. Doesn't a three way tie throw out the head to head win over Miami or is that only a three way tie within the division? I know its one or the other..

Either way if we finish at or above .500 I am very proud of this team after the 5 win season last year. It's gonna hurt like hell if we don't make it in but im gonna try to not even think about that right now. I just keep envisioning perriman foot coming down in bounds; tucker booting a 67 yard feild goal- and tavon knocking down that ball to OBJ.  We'd be sittin real pretty right now. Oh well. I've got faith in our boys. Let's get it.

I believe it does, but we are still set with all tiebreakers due to our conference record. (3 of our losses are to NFC teams-Redskins, Giants, and Cowboys)  I have ran the scenarios through nflplayoffpredictor.com and http://www.nfl.com/playoffs/playoff-picture/predictor(I have given up on ESPN's playoff machine because there were a ton of errors) and the Ravens win every conceivable tiebreak vs. other teams (unless somehow we end up tied alone with the Raiders of course)

Or cj not fumbling through the end zone or Trestman continuing to run down the skins throats; Harbaugh not accepting the penalty in Oakland; Jimmy not getting injured in New York (yeah yeah, injuries are part of the game) then we could walk into the playoffs and maybe even have the top seed.

Edit: losing the game to the skins due to Trestman forgetting to run the ball may have been the best thing that has happened to us all year.  Oh yeah, I know losing to the Skins hurts big time, but losing Trestman made up for it.

Don't feed the troll. I doubt he's a Ravens fan anyways. Probably a Steelers or Bengals fan coming here to troll.

If we make the playoffs we win the Super Bowl, that's my bold prediction and I'm sticking to it.

I agree, I think we could represent the AFC.  I would like to see a rematch with Dallas.  Just need to get to the playoffs...anything can happen.

I'm actually still optimistic about our playoff chances, despite the loss tonight. The Patriots are the best team in the NFL right now, and our last 3 games are all fairly winnable. Even if we only get two wins, our chances aren't too bad if the Dolphins and Broncos have some trouble. Winning out is obviously the best way to go though.

The Ravens finish the season with three winnable games. So, their playoff chances are still fairly good.

We are a completely different team on the road compared to at home. Without Jimmy, I think we drop at least one more. Brown or Green are going to have a field day without Jimmy on the field.

As long as that one isn't against the Steelers, then going 2-1 through the end of the season is fine.

Lol sorry. But when I posted that it was possible that Cinnci got in as a wildcard. Provided we won the division. Now it required them winning out and the Raiders or Chiefs losing 2 of 3 and I don't know who else losing some also but it WAS possible. It's not anymore I don't think. I actually doubt we even make it as there's zero chance we win out.
