Path to the playoffs.

I think the Ravens have a great chance with 3 games left to make the playoffs, mostly for a WC spot though! The two teams that are in the Ravens way are the Dolphins who we beats, and the Broncos! Dolphins lost Tannehill for the year, so they are done. The Broncos in their last three games play the Patriots, Raiders, and Chiefs. All three teams have 10+ wins. Denver has no offense to compete, They will lose at least 2 of the last 3, most likely 3. Denver hasn not looked good the last month, they look like they are done. Our schedule is the Eagles, Steelers, and Bungles! We have already beaten two of the three! If we beat the Eagles and the Steelers, you can almost guarantee we will make the playoffs. To win the division, obviously we have to beat the Steelers. They're schedule is to easy down the road. Everyone says we have a hard schedule down the road, but the only team I am worried about beating is Pittsburgh. We should beat the Eagles at home with a rookie quarter back against our defense, and the bungles have no Aj green nor Rb. If we win the next 2 games, we should be in the playoffs, We really only need 2 out of 3 to get in.

You do know he is back practicing this week, although on a limited basis.

On the surface I agree with you, but look at their schedule.

The Jets...does anyone have confidence in them to beat anybody?

The Bills...very schizophrenic team...depends what team shows up...also, how will they respond now that they are all but eliminated from playoff contention.

The Patriots...Will they have anything to play for.  I believe they hold the tiebreaker over the Chiefs, so if they go into Week 17 up by a game on the Chiefs, the #1 seed could be clinched (depending on what Raiders do because I think Raiders hold the tiebreak)...I wouldn't be shocked if the Patriots have #1 locked up if they rest everyone and intentionally lose because you know they would rather face a Tannehill-less Dolphins as a potential opponent over us!

Not saying the Dolphins definitely win 2 of 3, but definitely hard to count on.  I will be rooting like crazy for the Jets, Bills, (and that other AFC East team in the final week if I have to)

With the Dolphins win over the Jets, the Ravens wild card hopes ride on the Dolphins losing their last 2 games. The Dolphins play at the Bills, who will have a good chance to win. Then they play at home vs the Patriots, who we really want to still have something to play for week 17. (Aka go Raiders and Chiefs). We need the Broncos to lose 2 of 3 still, which I really believe will happen.

Let's Go Jets! Help us out here in Baltimore!

(TD Jets as I hit submit)

Yeah thanks for nothing. The fins thumping the jets really stings. The jets started off decent and then just self destructed.

Not worried about denver- but our wildcard hopes ride on buffalo next week. Hopefully they will be playing for Rex. They win that and the fins will have their hands full with New England week 17. Hopefully NE will still be playing for that number 1 seed so we also have to root for KC .

Ofcourse we have to take care of our own business first.

Really sucks that we might miss out on the playoffs by one game. Makes you think about those 3 or 4 losses we lost by an inch to a couple yards.

If the fins make it in over us the way we stomped them that will literally make me sick. Unfortunately for us Matt Moore played better than Tannehill has all year too. He is more than capable of going into buffalo and getting it done. Funny how tannehill getting hurt could have actually hurt us lol.

Yea. We gotta root for the raiders too. Hopefully they can force the Pats into a week 17 game where a win clinches 1 seed, they don't rest their starters. Plus, the Raiders game would be at 4:05, and the Pats would be at 1.

- I'm not worried about Broncos losing 2 of 3

- Need the Dolphins to lose next 2

- If Dolphins win any of their next 2, the Ravens must win out.

Here's my post in another thread...

Well... I like our chances. Winning out is the route we most likely have to take, but we could get lucky if we drop 1 of the last 2. I say Yes, we make the playoffs, but that could easily change.

Ravens beat Steelers:

1. Ravens win division by beating Bengals

2. Ravens win division with a Steelers loss to the Browns

3. With A Ravens loss to the Bengals and a Steelers win over the Browns, the Ravens would clinch the last wild card spot with a Dolphins loss to the Bills AND Patriots, and a Broncos loss to the Chiefs OR Raiders.

Ravens lose to Steelers:

1. Ravens beat Bengals, Dolphins lose to Bills AND Patriots, and the Broncos lose to the Chiefs OR Raiders. This would earn us a wild card spot.

Note: A Titans or Texans loss would be required for the Ravens to clinch the 6 seed, but since they play each other, this is virtually guaranteed.

Excellent point.  For our Wildcard hopes, next week we have to really root for the Bills to beat the Dolphins (obviously) AND the Raiders to beat the Colts (Or Patriots lose to Jets...hahahahahaha)  If those 2 things happen, I like our chances for the Patriots to beat the Dolphins in Week 17 if they are playing for home field advantage.  Hopefully, the Chiefs beat the Broncos on Christmas becasue the downside of the Raiders playing the 4:00 game on Week 17 is that if the Patriots win, they will have nothing to play for, so we can't count on them beating the Broncos.

It's kind of a catch-22 as to who to root for...because the ideal scenario for the Ravens is to beat Steelers and Bengals and win the divsion.  If that happens, I would much rather Miami as the 6th seed and Baltimore's first opponent.  But, obviously, if we drop one of those 2 games (which unfortunately is probably likely--especially if Jimmy is out which I suspect he will be), then we have to hope for the Dolphins (and Broncos) to lose to get the wildcard.
