SB seasons aside, what was your most enjoyable season?

i personally had more fun watching the ravens in 08 than any other year. we finally had some relatively solid qb play, which came as a surprise after watching flacco look like a raging dumpster fire in the preseason. willis mcgahee was still playing well despite injuries, ray rice sprinkled in some really electrifying runs, our OL was a machine, our defense was the best in the league with suggs, ray, bart, ed, and kelly gregg, all playing some of the best football of their entire careers. and most importantly, derrick mason and leron mcclain, man they were fun to watch, mcclain was a violent beast, slow as molasses but surprisingly quick and absolutely punished tacklers, and derrick mason was just uncoverable between 05 and 08 and it was really fun to watch him and joe tear up the sidelines every week.

what ravens season was the most enjoyable to you guys? aside from the obvious 2 super bowl seasons.

2008 wins for me because I wasn't expecting a Super Bowl that year and it was more about the promise of some good Ravens football for the next few years.

That 08 team was so much fun to watch. Breaking in a rookie QB and shutting down Cowboys stadium were the highlights of that season but that 2011 season was special because of the season sweep of the steelers and the whole division.

2008 definitely. The end of that season left me feeling like it was the start of a beautiful future. Definitely didn't expect to make it as far as we did, but that team was pure heart. Plus for me, that was the beginning of my pure hatred for the Steelers. I mean my hatred for them that season was unhealthy lol. I've cool off about them since then though.

2008 and 2011, by far.

2008 was just plain exciting. Holy hell, we were relevant again, and surprisingly able.

2011 was crazy. That Pagano-led D was fierce. Our run game was beasting. Joe had a not terrible year. That should have been a Super Bowl year.

2011.

Worst ending ever, but Cards comeback, Torrey Smith rams debut, opening day, game winner in Pittsburgh.  perfect example of peaks and valleys.  it's like every high was matched with a low and was just a great all around season from both sides of the ball as well.  giving Hines a taste of his medicine.  was probably also the last great seasons from both Ray and Ed.

08 is still special to me but if I can only pick 1 had to be 2011.  thought we finally broke the Ozzie wr curse.  08 was great though.  I still say the 2nd Steelers game bad call.  Shouldn't have been a td by Holmes.  I don't get how it's called not a td then reversed.  I say this cause many forget the "implications."  Shout out to sunny.  we win that game we have division.  that's the year Titans were #1 and the Steelers struggled with them.  could have been a completely different outcome.

Back to the season, loved how we shut down Dallas stadium.  was one of the last real years where you could play defense too.

I do think 08 was the last year you could play real defense. I don't think there's any way to accurately quantify this with statistics but 09 was definitely the first year in the Era of the Yellow Flag.

08 season was pretty crazy but 2011 for me. That was probably the most dominant team of the harbaugh era. They were honestly better than their 12-4 record suggested. Shame how that season ended. Thankfully, mostly the same team finished the job a year later. 2014 gets honerable mention because of the offense.

2011 for me as well. Damn Lee Evans ruined it, but we had a rock solid offense and a dominant defense, with Suggs proving to be a monster that year. Defense took a decline the year after due to injuries and age catching up, but probably the best team of the Harbaugh era, and maybe the best team I've seen to never make a super bowl.

Yeah we absolutely were the best team in the NFL that year and we were just capable of laying an egg every now and then.

The best team we probably lost to was the Chargers.  outside of that Shouldn't have lost to Titans, Jags... had to look up the other team.  Eww..  the damn Seahawks.  all those losses were ugly, to teams we had no business losing to.

08' and 11' were both great BUT for me...it was definitely 10'.

That season we were 12-5 and undefeated at home I believe?  One of my ALL TIME favorite plays in that season was made by CB Josh Wilson.  I will forever be grateful to him for that "Walk-Off" INT for a TD in OT against the Texans.....

After he did that...I jumped, shouted and screamed so loudly that I lost my voice for a few days!  It was AMAZING!!

Such a shame he decided to waste away his career in Washington. He could have been a pro bowl player here and won a Super Bowl.

That actually happened in the 2010 season.

2008 - To come that close to a superbowl with a rookie QB was insane.  I didn't think we'd beat Tennessee in the divisional round either yet they pulled it off.

2011 - Sweeping the division and against being just shy of the superbowl.  Also, finally winning the division title under Harbaugh and Flacco and getting only the second playoff bye in team history

2014 - Finally beating Pittsburgh in the playoffs  Absolutely abused them in their own stadium.  Another great duel between Flacco and Brady.

I have to say 1996 was my favorite season because we had football back in Baltimore. Winning that first game against Oakland at Memorial Stadium was quite a memorable day. We only won three more games over the remainder of the season but it didn't matter because we had a team again.

06 was an amazing defensive team. Disappointing end to be sure.

2014,  beat the Steelers in post season.

06 was an awesome D. I was really disappointed that McNair generated little offense against the Colts. That was a dismal performance.

2006, 2008 and 2011 hold special places in my heart.

'06 felt like the year we'd do it. Finally a good vet QB to go with one of the best defenses of all time. Unfortunately we didn't get it done.

'08 for reasons mentioned. McClain that year was a beast. Rumbling his way through defenses. The promise of the future with Joe and Ray. And still a dominant D.

'11 I felt we had our best team since '06. Maybe our most balanced team ever.  And if not for the heartbreaking loss to NE I think we would've been back to back SB champs. We had an efficient, ball control offense with big play potential and still a suffocating defense. That team, imo was far better than the one that got the SB in '12.

Really the run from '08-'12, a couple different results here and there and we could've had arguably the most dominant stretch of the 2000's. Would've rivaled the Pats in terms of dynasty.

#1 2008 - My favorite season. John Harbaugh, Joe Flacco and Ray Rice all rookies and we make the Championship Game. Unfortunately I was at the game at Heinz Field when they lost. Derrick Mason in Dallas is as good as it gets.

#2 2003 - Watching Jamal run for 2000 was pretty exciting.

#3 2014 - Never expected to be in the playoffs.

#4 2006 - If they could have gotton past Peyton Manning they win the Super Bowl.

#5 2011 - Could be #2 but the ending is just to painful.

2003 was epic seeing jamal hit 2k yards rushing and almost getting the record.

2011 because that defense was insane
