He wasn't healthy at all.  Clearly our pass rush is better with doom on the field rather than with him not on the field,  considering health

We can't just say he wasn't healthy. He felt good enough to come back, and the training/coaching staff cleared him.

And it wasn't one week, then "oops too soon" and back to the trainers table. It was 2 games before he was put back on the shelf.

Plus this whole situation is weird and smells of something bigger going on. This wasn't some serious injury... it was supposedly a minor offseason procedure to have "some stuff" in his foot "cleaned up."

Couple questions come to mind in hindsight like, why he didn't get it done the day the season ended... and since it supposedly was an injury from last season, a season that was clearly lost early on, why he didn't shut it down and have the procedure way back then.

It took him far longer than anyone expected for him to come back the first time... way longer than you'd expect for just "cleaning something up." And he just wasn't the same player. Zero burst. Zero pressure.

I'm not saying he can't or won't be the same player... but you can't dismiss those two games. Everyone felt he was healthy to practice for an entire week, play a game, practice another week, and play another game before shutting it down again.

I need to see it to believe it with him now. Z just started coming on and Judon has been pretty good situationally. Old Doom yea slot him right back in. But we can't afford to experiment over long periods and in key situations over guys who have at least shown something.

I just don't know what difference 4 months as opposed to a little over 3 months is going to make for a simple "clean up" procedure. Hope he proves me wrong, but there's no guarantee he's ever the same or even close to the same player. Until proven otherwise all we know is he's the useless pass rusher we saw for two games.

Ravens fans believe any given game we can kick butt and win every game, love being the underdog and love breaking up homecomings like the last trip to Jerrys World.  I do love watching  ' Making the Team' on CMT about the cheerleaders every August, it does give you a look into how that organization is run, it's something else.  A couple of summers ago a I was watching my show and come out of the kitchen to see 3 boys aged 4 to 22 mesmerized in front of the TV, I forget where the older two were going but they never left.

hopefully our guys are fired up for this game, we aren't really getting much respect, just the occasional "yeah their defense is legit, but Cowboys offense is too good"

This Dallas guy on here first can't spell offense and two said we beat the jets browns twice and the bills that would leave us at 4-5 I can't do it... if you're going to talk football atleast be educated

What baffles me is that there's a post like 3 or 4 posts down that says " Browns averaged 7.4 ypc, Wash..130 yards, Jets Forte 100yards, Raiders 110 lol. None of them are Dallas Game over." the stats for the Raiders and Washington are just plain wrong, I don't know where that guy got those numbers, perhaps he just made them up off the top of his head EDIT: I see what he did, he looked up the games and assigned them our rushing yards on accident. As far as the other two go, if you don't look at context you're only fooling yourself - the Browns got 85 on one fluke run that hasn't happened again against us this season, without that run they were sitting at 17 carries for 48 yards or 2.8 yds/carry, a performance be bettered the second game against them. Then against the Jets we were missing both Suggs and Mosley, obviously not the case this game. Just let them sleep on us, it will make burning them so much sweeter.

At least there are some posters on there trying to inject a little sanity. They keep bringing up the Browns and Raiders losses, some guy replied that they had also played the Browns, lost to the Giants, barely escaped the Redskins, and also beat such powerhouses as the Bears and 49ers.

Uh, can you blame em?

Not most of them. But there are a couple morons on there.

Excusing every loss or close game of theirs and then just looking at a loss to the Jets and thinking there's no way we can win.

Or the sound logic of "GB was #1 rushing D and we torched them" even though that was after what 2 games... vs ours after 9?

sure they should be confident. But it's clear they haven't watched this defense. I can't wait to check back in on there when we pull this win out.

I am way more excited for this game than the Steelers game.

Were still the only NFL team the Cowgirls have never beaten. And it's time to christen jerrys world just like we sent them packing out of their last stadium.

Cowboys fans are the worst. I should say many are. Bandwagons that don't watch the game except when the cowboys are good and then they're #1 super fan repping their team to death.

Just punish Zeke. Man I hope we hold him to 50 yds. And how great would it be to abuse Dak into a terrible terrible performance... a shutout or something for 3.5 qtrs, have me bring Romo in for garbage time and he scores a TD or 2 and spark a QB controversy that derails their entire season.

Any chance we're wearing the all blacks for this one? I know it's usually for night, prime time or rivalry games.

But we look mean and ball out in those. Would love to rock em this weekend.

This is why I'm more jacked up about this game than I have been about any Steelers game in recent years. Even if our season flames out completely afterwards, I'd be absolutely thrilled if we could shut them and the national pundits up (or better yet, beat them to the point where excuses start flying). I'm not predicting anything, just saying that I can't think of anything that could happen in the next seven days that would make me happier (speaking as one who gets paid in six days' time).

That said, the Cowboys are tied with Oakland for 2nd in rushing (4.8ypa) and behind Buffalo (5.3ypa), so they're still doing phenomenally well but we held the other two in check (Bills to 2.7ypa and Raiders to 3.3ypa) so I think we're more than capable of surprising them.

Now if only our offence can stop underperforming for at least one more game.

Apparently you can't wear an alternate for an away game.

Thanks Goodell. :(

That's a dumb rule. If it doesn't mess with the home teams choice of uniform it shouldn't be an issue.

Uniform rules in general are stupid. What point is there to limiting how often a team can where a certain alternate combo?? I can't think of a single legit reason.

The home team should be able to wear whatever combo they want and then as long as the away teams uniform isn't close or cause any confusion they should be able to too.

I get they don't want every team wearing all black every game... and the branding of fans identifying with the team colors is important for the biz side of things.... but limiting alternates to only at home and, what, twice per year?? Dumb rule.

Might have something to do with jersey sales

at least give them credit for acknowledging that we at least have an offense worth trashing lol

honestly speaking saying we have an offense is a joke in itself ...

I haven't even bothered to defend the offense, there's really nothing to defend at the moment, let's hope that changes this week.

I see others fans taking the time to trash our offense as a compliment at this point lol

if there is a time to turn things around now is the time though.

feasting on the worst defense will be just that if the offense dont show up this game

Any update on Jimmy playing? We really need a run game this week.

Didn't practice again yesterday but harbs said he still expects him to be a go.

I was also curious about jerni being on the injury report and not practicing. We need that Dline arguably more than anybody. Hopefully nothing serious.

I sure hope we can make a statement this week. We really need to take it to them and not break the streak. To me, they are the Crowboys because they've sure eaten it enough with the Ravens owning them. Lets continue that fine tradition.

They're ranked 12th in D, and 21st against the pass. We need Sr, Wallace and Perriman to show up to ball. Waller too. And the OL to give Joe more than half a second.

Some extra "betting" news. The current over/under is 45. 4 of our last 5 games with a spread of 45 have hit e UNDER, while every single time we've played the Cowgirls it's hit the OVER. Now the 2 teams we've played with better overall defenses have been the Jets and Jags. 8 and 11, Dallas is 12. We scored 16 and 19. Now we know we had a better line against the Jags(before everyone starting getting hurt) and a rookie QB with the 8th ranked D and we put up 19. So it's logical to assume somewhere in the 22-25 range points wise. As long as the D plays to its tune and we hold the under(45) that's a Ravens win no matter how you slice it.

Expect Williams to have a career day if Shareece is on him. Who cares about the two inch difference. By your logic, we might as well pick up Cary Williams again. Tired of hearing about taller Corner's when the likes of Haden, Harris Jr, Revis, etc. have been balling for years. #ShortCornersMatter

I know Shareece Wright has given up touchdowns but i don't think he's been as bad as some Ravens fans seem to believe. He has proven to play well in the past and let's be honest here Tavon Young hasn't proven to be like Haden, Harris Jr or even Revis yet.  His best games came when he was playing nickel corner or facing up against receivers like Antonio Brown and Corey Colemen on the outside. In the last two games The Ravens made it a point to have Young cover shorter receivers while Jimmy Smith was covering the taller ones. In my opinion that tells me even the coaching staff is some what worried of giving Young too much to handle as he start as the outside corner.

According to Zrebiec, Harbaugh said Jimmy Smith and Elvis Dumervil are both gametime decisions and that it's up to the doctors.  I REALLY hope Jimmy is a full-go!

Ouch!  Jimmy is doubtful (along with Dumervil and Taliaferro)  Jernigan is questionable.  Gillmore and Alex Lewis out.

My guess is blanket coverage on Dez and Young/Powers is going to have to shut down Beasley and Williams with not much help.

Jimmy Smith listed as questionable, Mosely, Yanda and Timmy listed as questionable.

This team CAN NOT catch a break.
